Vicky was so personable, knowledgeable and fun! Seeing and hearing about all the history while taking a beautiful walk was terrific! Would definitely recommend this tour!

Itinerary
It is the most iconic memorial in the country, dedicated in 1922, honoring the 16th President, Abraham Lincoln who occupies an almost mythic and revered place in the hearts of Americans everywhere.
A quiet place designed for reflection, this memorial has over 58 thousand names of US casualties from this conflict etched into the black granite panels. Accommodating the wall is the Three Soliders Statue and a memorial to the female nurses who served.
56 granite pillars surround the fountain in this majestic tribute to the greatest generation of Americans who came of age in a time of economic depression, and emerged from this conflict as heroes. Stroll around the grounds and you will learn about different aspects of the war from the perspective of the US which fought in both The Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Dedicated in 2004, this memorial is popular with visitors to DC.
See the south lawn of the White House, where the President's helicopter, Marine One, lands.
555 Feet tall, this is the largest free standing masonry structure in the world! A monument to the first President and Father of the Country, George Washington. Since 1888 this monument has towered over DC and the surrounding country side.

Fabulous time with Vicky our guide! She was super friendly, extremely knowledgeable and flexible with the tour. Totally recommend this tour and Vicky.
Trevor was fantastic! He was friendly, kind and knowledgeable about every single monument on the tour! I would absolutely recommend this tour! Thanks again Trevor for an unforgettable tour!
DC on Foot did an excellent job of guiding our group thru the monuments and memorials. Becca was very knowledgeable, patient and passionate about the tour. LOVED it!
Greg was great at keeping a good pace. We appreciate his knowledge and willingness to work with all
Vicky was our guide and she was so knowledgeable and friendly. She kept track of where we were all from, knew many details about the monuments. She even guided us to a public restroom and water fountains to refill our water bottles. When she stopped to speak about each place she managed to find shade. The tour did not happen at its original time because of the heat, but the tour company kept in contact with me because I wasn’t sure if we would make it because of our flight arrival time. I had booked two other DC tours and the others did not communicate at the same level. The others couldn’t tell me if Washington monument tickets would be for the same day!! I had no such issues with DC by foot. They explained how their tours work but also asked for flexibility because of a potential heat wave. They were right and were a great company to work with. Excellent communication and an excellent guide.
If hot bring plenty of water. Our guide was excellent. You do a lot of walking of course. Make sure to check out the basement of the Lincoln Memorial.
We learned a lot and had a great time! So many great stories and details that we would never have known from guidebooks alone.
This is a walking tour, but well worth it, if you don't mind walking a lot. Becca was a terrific tour guide. She had good communication with us and shared historical details we enjoyed. Would take this tour again. Take a bottle of water with you.
We had Ingeborg deliver our tour. She was excellent. A local lady with lots of knowledge and we couldn’t have asked for more. She made the tour very interesting but also easy to listen to. 👍
Great information - beautiful walk! Our group was fun because our tour guide and both my husband and the father of the other family were all USAF Veterans. Shared perspectives.
Our guide, Becca was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. She presented information at each stop but also knew the answers to all our questions. Our group was small at 5 which was lovely.
Yesterday, we took a guided tour of the memorial sites with Vicky. She was very friendly and engaging, knew a wealth of facts about the individual sites, and shared interesting stories. We would happily take our next tour with her again.
Vicky our guide was fantastic and very pleasant. Walking distance was about 1.5 miles at a decent pace.
Greg was a great guide with incredible knowledge and we were fortunate to have him to ourselves for three hours. It was time well spent on our second trip to Washington. We now have a better understanding of all the memorials. Loved finishing off at the top of the Washington Memorial.
Ingeborg did a wonderful job of leading us in the tour. She shared a lot of great information about the different monuments and took the time to answer our questions.
Our tour guide, Becca was knowledgeable and so easy to talk to. She knew everything we asked her and it a pleasure to be with her. She was passionate about her city, actively encouraged questions and was funny and engaging.
Our tour guide was awesome. Very sweet. Knowledgeable. Great walking tour. Yes all need to take this tour
Great informative and fun tour. Vicki was excellent with personal notes as well as info on the memorials and monuments. She related well to the diverse ages and backgrounds of the group. Washington Monument was a bit iffy (electrical issues earlier in the week) but we got to go up and that was a major reason to book this tour. Our itinerary did not include going near the White House contrary to website info. That was not an issue for us...this was a comprehensive tour.
Vicky was a great guide. She kept us informed and entertained. There were kids and couples and singles and she included us all in the walk and talk. She gave us information at each of the memorials, what to look for, and then time for us to visit. The pacing was perfect - not rushed but no one left behind. We would book a tour with Vicky again.
On a beautiful day in April, my daughter and I participated in a tour. We were fortunate enough to visit Washington during the peak of cherry blossom season and took this tour just as it was concluding. Our guide, Vicky, was absolutely amazing! She did a fantastic job explaining each stop and engaging with everyone in the group. We look forward to returning and hope to have her as our guide on another tour. Since it can get warm and there may be little shade at times, be sure to bring water or something to stay hydrated during the tour.
It was excellent! Katharine is an amazing historian and tour guide.
Others on their reviews have focused on Washington Monument (because it’s free) as the tour cost and not worth the price, its a shame because every site we stopped Katherine is full of knowledge (that you can google to fact check) iand she is on point. I will save you time, very informative and answers your questions. The Washington Monument was just the icing on the tour.
Greg was an excellent guide! From clear instructions as to where to meet and all the details during the tour! He was engaging and knowledgeable. Perfect tour for some monument and history background for my daughter's first time to DC and then went on our exploring the rest of the mall on our own.
There was four of us total, my husband, myself and my 8 and 11-year-old trevor was awesome. It was a three hour tour hitting the national mall and all the major monuments. Spending enough time but not too much also because we had younger kids. Trevor was amazing. He was knowledgeable and interactive with the entire family. We also were able to get to the top of the monument which was a surprise.
Vicky was great and very knowledgeable. We learned a lot and enjoyed her story about her family which tied into our tour. The only bad was the govt shutdown which prevented us from going into the Washington Monument which was out of anyone's control.
Becca knew a lot and was really nice! It was a great tour with lots of historical facts, which we loved
Worth it! Our tour guide, Becca, was great! She was energetic, good at timing everything, and knew a TON about DC. She seemed to really enjoy being a guide. The tour itself is a lot of walking, but there is so much packed into the tour that it’s completely worth it. I highly recommend!
It's a great way to get a fuller/more knowledgeable experience of the mall of the monuments and appreciate it's importance.
Perfect. Highly recommended Great knowledgeable tour guide Vicky She is fantastic .. with everything being closed due to shut down we still enjoyed the tour
Trevor was an exceptional guide. His knowledge, insights and humour were second to none. I would thoroughly recommend!
Lots of walking but provides a great overview of the Mall. Our guide, Brooke was fantastic. Genuine, informative and went at a great pace.
Becca our tour guide was absolutely fantastic. The history of the Lincoln Memorial the Korean memorial, the ( Easter eggs) that Becca told us were great. Wear comfortable shoes !!!! And the view from the Washington Memorial is amazing.. enjoy it .
Very informative and Brooke was a great tour guide. A great way to the monuments in D.C.. Highly recommend this tour.
Monument walking tour with Vicky was amazing! Fun interesting entertaining. Highly recommend. Saw all the monuments learned details accommodated adjusted to our needs. Very fun guide and knew a lot.
Becca did a wonderful job escorting our "Walking Tour of the Monuments w/stop at the Washington Obelisk'. Her knowledge of the Monuments and National mall was outstanding. Our group included senior citizens and she made sure everyone could hear her and kept us in the shade whenever she could. Very good people and communication skills. Would highly recommend her for your tour.
Guide was nice and knowledgeable . It was good for a first timer like me to be able to see everything without having to plan myself!
Excellent and informative tour. Thanks Trevor. Time available at each memorial for a look around yourself and stress free visit to Washington Monument which is definitely worth the visit.
Our guide Vicky was enjoyable and informative, pointing out several things during the tour we would not have otherwise learned. Very happy with the investment
It’s a great way to experience the monuments and learn interesting facts along the way. Trevor was very friendly and well informed.
We had Vicky as our tour guide. We attended the tour to learn about our nation's history, however our tour guide, Vicky, knew very little about American history and was sharing all about German history. Struck me as well we were told as a group we could not talk politics! This is America and we have freedom of speech. We are all respectful adults with differing opinions to be told we couldn't talk about something was disheartening, after all we are in our nations capital taking a tour of political monuments! We requested our tickets to the monument so that we could go off on our own due to that. Vicky assumed it was because it was a lot of walking. Wrong! Vicky stated "you paid for the tour with me not the tickets". However, she did allow us to go off on our own and meet up to go in the Washington monument with our tickets that she held. We did pay for the tickets, we may have paid extra for the shabby tour with her, but we did pay for our monument tickets. They were included in the price. Every other guided tour we took the tour guide knew about the history of the monuments and was able to point out pertinent details that you would not know on your own. This one differed. To be fair, she was personable and polite as a person. In my humble opinion, if you want to give guided tours of Washington D.C. monuments, learn about American history.
I loved the knowledge that Vicky had regarding all the monuments that we visited. It goes beyond with what’s in the history looks.
Our guide, Greg, was fantastic!!! His knowledge of the monuments and the history of Washington DC made the trip so much more for us. Thank you so very much!
It was an excellent tour. Trevor our guide was very knowledgeable and definitely added alot of interesting facts. I would highly recommend to do this tour at the beginning of your trip because it gives a good foundation of what Washington has to offer and the layout of the city!
I feel compelled to leave a review because Ingeborg was one of the best, if not the best, tour guides I have ever run into. Her research, storytelling and pleasant demeanor were incredible.
Great overview of the monuments with lots of historical detail. Andres kept things moving along so we didn’t miss out on anything. We had a small group which made it easy to hear everything being said and lots of time at each stop for photos. It’s hard to select any highlights as each monument was so impressive.
Rebecca was awesome!! Lots of energy and great tidbits of fun information. Gave perfect directions on where to meet for the start of the tour.
Our tour was lead by a great guide. It was scheduled for a really hot day, and the tour company contacted us the day before to move it up an hour. Even with the adjusted time, the Washington Monument still closed an hour earlier than it's initial early closing notice. The situation was out of our guide's control and the tour company did everything right to try and avoid the situation in the first place. But the tour was a great value nonetheless. I really enjoyed the experience and would recommend it. It's way better than just walking to the monuments yourself and saying, "Well, that looks cool". Having context for why they are important and why they are designed as they are made for a very meaningful day. Thank you so much for a great experience.
McKayla was excellent. She was prompt and confirmed all of the tour guests at the designated meeting spot for the beginning of the tour. We were missing a couple and she even called them multiple times before departing. Once on the move, she was a fountain of fun facts about the National Mall and all of its monuments. You could tell she had a true passion for sharing the history and importance of DC. She was also very helpful in suggesting other must see sights. I would highly recommend visiting DC and exploring the National Mall with McKayla.
You learn lots of new facts about the places. Also a lot of history and how the statues and places were built and when.
