Been to many HardRock cafes and feel this one was a let down, average food. The staff just not interested. Wasn’t even asked if we wanted a dessert, plates from the main course taken away and bill given to use. The woman that served us in the gift shop was to busy talking to a friend on her phone

This was just like any other Hard Rock Vafé, anywhere else in the world. The food was fine, a little bit pricey, but the quantity of what we got was okay. The surfers were a little bit slow, but we enjoyed the extra time then had to sit in the air-conditioning on what was a very hot day. The funniest thing was when the waitress asked us if we had Hard Rock Cafés in England. I had to point out to her that Hard Rock Café was actually founded in England and we had several in London. She didn’t know that??
We came to the Hard Rock Cafe in Washington DC as part of my son’s 8th grade trip. Despite having a group of over 100 people they let us in early and had everything ready with our own area upstairs. Service was great and though the food choices were limited it was good. It was a fun lunch spot to cap our time in the nations capital.
The food was great and the guitars and clothes they had from the artist were amazing to look at while dining, the only thing that would have made it better is if people were playing live.
As with most hard rock locations, this place has great memorabilia, and is a great location for a beer and enjoying the location. The staff were friendly and the service was good
Restaurant staff was not welcoming from we entered the building, the lady at front asked me many time how many were on the purchased item and kept staring at us,I explained my nephew was a baby and wasn't a part of the 5 people and she kept looking at me, I explained many times it was for 5 people and she kept repeating it, they kept looking at myself and my family up and down, very scrutinizing, we felt very uncomfortable. We asked what was covered under the package bought and it was just annoyance given in response as if we should know what was covered and the desert provided was not nice at all it was just a oversweet piece of plain brownie slice with chocolate syrup dashed on top, you weren't even given a choice of desert. The provided meals were all burgers/sandwiches or salad very basic menu and not everyone eats burgers so not accommodating at all. Staff asked me to show her the voucher many times and even asked me to email a copy to her then came back and said didnt receive the email and took my phone in the back with the scan code and took a while then brought my phone back to me. I got a receipt then the same staff member came back for the receipt stating she wanted a copy of it, I felt like I was begging for something because I purchased a package item on discount instead of feeling welcomed/ accommodated like a paying customer should feel. I would never return to this location for Hard Rock ever and I wouldn't recommend it either. Long and short Viator should discontinue service with Hard Rock Cafe in Washington its not a pleasant visit and it worth paying the price for what's offered.
Staff were friendly and food was great. Not as exciting as other hard rock cafes as they don’t have as much memorabilia, but we still had a great time and the food was excellent!
Front of house staff were cold, unfriendly, and borderline offensive with her attitude. Not a word was spoken by her, her actions and mannerisms said it all. We were not welcome.
Booked reservation online. Arrived let hostess know we were there. She said yes had reservation. Waited over 20 min seeing several walk in /sign in and be seating. Checked the app said 1st in line. Would hit refresh continued to be first in line. When after standing for 20 min asked how much longer. Reservation time came and went. Was told you are first in line when some tables are cleared. Kept seating tables of 2-3 people. Ended up leaving
This is the smallest Hard Rock Cafe we have ever been to. It didn't have a lot of memorabilia. The tables were small downstairs. Our waitress Brianna was amazing. Cobb salad, fajitas, flatbread pizza and chicken sandwich were all good. Good lunch stop right across the street from Ford Theater tour.
Any visit to a Hard Rock Café is a good dining experience. They served up with hurricane glasses for the drinks. There is the signature logo sign at the stage area as with other Hard Rock Cafés around the world. The gift shop had a good selection of T-shirts, pins and refrigerator magnets
We were on vacation and stopped in for lunch after touring Ford's theater. We ate there back in 2006 and was happy to see it still there! Food was really good and the staff top notch. A very pleasant experience.
I popped in here for the shop, which is not far away from the restaurant at all. It was surprisingly empty, there was more staff than there was customers. The lady who was in the shop kept leaving as she was topping up the merchandise, she kept apologizing every time she left and came back. (I don't understand the pricing in the Hard Rock Cafes, as some charge you tax, from what's on the label, and some don't?? (this place does) - its confusing, as well as feeling like you have been conned). I was able to pop to the toilet, which was clean. I was trying to take a selfie of the Hard Rock sign when one of the staff members came over, and offered to take one for me. I bought a t-shirt, and the bag they gave me was huge, when I asked if there was any smaller, they said this is all we have.
I wouldn’t bother – booked a table but a long wait to be seated, a long wait for a drinks order and a long wait for a food order. The food was mediocre, as was the service. The ambience is poor. and regrettably one of the poorest HRs I have been to across the globe. Little of the styling and special features we have come expect. I would not return to be honest.
Excellent customer service!!! Polite, fast & so friendly!!! Brad our waiter was fabulous! Drinks & burgers were fabulous
This was my second visit to the Hard Rock Cafe Washington DC in 16 years. It's a very large building with upstairs and downstairs dining options. Upstairs was reserved when I visited as there were groups of students visiting for Spring Break. However you are allowed to go upstairs to take pictures. The items in display were good and I particularly liked the Beatles section. The food and drinks were of good quality and the service was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately like most dining outlets in America now and with the obligatory tipping regime, it is becoming more expensive to eat here.
My wife and I are fan of HRC .we went there about 6 pm it was so crowded. Full of kids . Generally food and drink was good but not like always and like other branches. The price was ok . Dc has lots of options may be next time I don't go to hard rock of dc.
This is one of the worst experiences I have had: - the staff were incredibly rude and disrespectful when I asked for a cup that was not provided in my reservation, eyes were rolled at me and the cup slammed on the table - drinks took an hour to arrive - the food was served extremely cold - one member of staff in particular called simeon was very rude - help was not provided when asked for help from a spillage - food everywhere on the floor Overall a horrible experience shall not return.
I love Hard Rock Cafe as a chain, but this is one of the best. Food is great, but staff is extremely attentive, friendly & professional. Very fast service. Probably best gift shop in DC. It is located right next to Ford's Theater, which made it a convenient choice.
Another visit to another hard rock and it was as expected. Decided to sit at the bar and have a meal, and as it wasn’t busy really enjoyed it. We had chicken tenders with the little dips and buffalo chicken sandwich with a side of mac n cheese. A couple of Budweiser pints and gin and lemonades and the experience was great. Food was prompt and service attentive. Music was great too! Went into the shop for the usual pin badge and got a little hard rock pouch to put it in along with the others we collected during the holiday which was unexpected. Would easily go back, lots of memorabilia also around the place which seemed to really recognisable with entertainers of our age range!
Food was bland and tasteless. They had a rock cover band playing during our visit. The band was way too loud and not good at all. I expected better. Their menu also seemed limited
Was really looking forward to a nice meal and good atmosphere on our last night. I've been in many hard rock cafes in many cities and never been disappointed but this one really did. Wasn't really busy either. There was live music and he was truly awful and far too loud. The service was very slow. Starter ok, mains were not. Ribs were just fat made my son feel ill. My steak was rare so sent back when it came back was cremated, madh was cold and the green beans were not cooked. Rick hard. Such a shame, what made it worse was that our server did not even comment or notice we did not eat even a quarter of our meals. May as well have put $130 in the bin.
This restaurant, located in the heart of DC, near the metro, Ford's Theatre and within walkinmg distance of the monuments is two floors of rock memorablia. We sat in the Prince section on the upper floor. Service was quite slow, but the food was excellent, especially the dfesserts. Just give yourself ample time to dine here, especially if you are going to a show afterwards.
just left this establishment to pick up a to go order and there were roaches crawling all inside and on the outside of the bag. SOOO DISGUSTING. The employee acted as if it was normal. I'm guessing that they are used to it. if you eat here please be careful and check everything......... I WISH I WOULD HAVE TOOK A PICTURE...
This is the second birthday meal that has been made a mess for us from the Hard Rock Cafe New York now here in Washington DC We came with an open mind hoping for good things from here and they messed it up in a big way.. We are very unhappy customers with the Hard Rock Cafe way
The food was good, our server did well but very intrigued by the staff who stood and did almost nothing, people on next table spilled a drink and no one noticed or helped them clean up until my table called for assistance.
Burger was ok, but the price for a glas of red wine (Sauvignon) - nothing extraordinary - was absolute ridiculous . More than $15 pus tax plus tip 🙈
Very nice place in a convenient location in DC. Friendly staff and the food is served quickly. Be careful with the spicy options if you’re not used to pepper! As my first restaurant experience in America, it was nice to see the portions are usually bigger than many other countries. Great variety of drinks and of course, the music and decoration!
While traveling with a group of senior adults from TN, we had previously booked reservations at this Cafe. We arrived at the scheduled time, only to discover that 24 seats had been set for our group (which contained 38 people). After scrambling to finally seat the remainder of our group, we discovered that one server had been assigned to our area. Some of the problems that we encountered were not enough drinks provided (each table of 12 was given one pitcher of water and one pitcher of cola), extended wait time for some of our orders (while others at our table got their food within a few minutes), incomplete orders, and lack of attention to our requests. I would definitely not recommend the Hard Rock, especially if traveling with a larger group. This place should have been better prepared for a group of our size.
Team Us 2K enjoyed a very nice dinner at this restaurant. The waitress was very friendly and made our experience enjoyable. Dinner included a BBQ platter which included Ribs, Pulled Pork, Baked Beans and Fries, Cheeseburger and Fries, Buffalo Wings with Fries. Drinks included Bahama Mama and Passion Fruit Mai Tai.
We sat At bar and the server excellent explaining how men Definitely will recommend this. place for other
What is the point of reservations? Booked 7:45, seated at 8:15. Took an hour for drinks. If we didn’t have 8 in our party we would have left. Really an hour to get water, let alone regular drinks. Was informed that they had several large bus parties and supper would be delayed. Well here we are at 10:15, just paid our check. Server gave us a free brownie, but the manager came over and clearly could care less. Horrible experience, avoid at all cost. Not worth the $150 for 4 people
We booked the Hard Rock for our last night in D.C. and there are so many other places we could have gone to, who deserved our business and would have given us an enjoyable evening. We booked for 6:30pm and arrived a little early but they had our table ready. The girl on the door was uninterested and distracted - really not front-of-house material. We had our main but when we asked for the dessert menu at 7:10pm we were told the kitchen was closing early so we couldn't have dessert. At no point prior were we told this would be happening. Service was slow and disinterested. We wish we'd never booked, had to go elsewhere for a little more to eat, and I'm not sure if I'd go back to a Hard Rock after this. We've been to quite a few around the world but D.C. is clearly trading on the brand and they don't deserve the business. Also worth noting that there is a lot less memorabilia on display then in other Hard Rocks, just adding that as a point of interest as there is a lot less atmosphere.
We went on a Wednesday evening on our 25th wedding anniversary. They gave us a great table, a bottle of champagne and free cocktail glasses! They could not have done any more for us. Walter was our main man. Food was great, as expected and we got to choose some music. Loved it and thank you again.
Really good food and prompt service waiting staff extremely attentive ! Could do with some customer care training in the shop though !!
We try to visit Hard Rock when we travel if there is one near. This HR was very crowded obviously because it is DC and have tour groups like crazy. It is very hard to find parking. The restaurant was very messy because they can't stay ahead of the crowds vs. cleaning. Also the bathrooms were very dirty. Despite that it is a HR and ya just gotta go!!
My beau and I were looking for a sit down meal in the Capital that wouldn't cost a small fortune. We found a table at the Hard Rock Cafe, but that was really the only positive. The hostess seated us, and our waitress appeared quickly to take a drink order. We did not see her again for almost 30 minutes, at which time she apologized for the delay. There were many open tables and two large tour groups had just left, so it wasn't clear what held her up. We ordered a combo app platter amd a single entree to share. We were assured the apps would be ready shortly, however we waited another 25 minutes, at which time we were told our entree choice could not be prepared by the kitchen staff who were available. We had ordered the chicken mac-n-cheese, not something seasonal or reliant on a catch of the day. We told her we were ok with just the appetizer, as we had already decided we couldn't wait all night to finish a meal. When the bill came, our waitress had failed to remove the missing entree, and needed a manager to approve this. The wait for a manager took another 20 minutes. He was apologetic, explained they were short-staffed (must have been in the kitchen, because we counted 5 wait staff standing around the bar). We thanked him for correcting the bill, paid, and left. Two days later, my credit card was double charged for the meal. It took another two days to correct this with my credit card company. The atmosphere was not lively, the decor dated, and the staff overall not on top of customer service. I would not recommend.
My family and I have been to a few other Hard Rock Cafes and I have to say we enjoyed our visit to the Washington DC one over all the others! The service was great, our waiter was fantastic, very personable. The music was not overly loud like the others we have been to. We didn't have to tell at our waiter to give him our order. We could talk to each other at the table. The food was delicious. The best part of the whole visit..... the choice of music being played. Everyone in the restaurant seemed to really be enjoying it. I will admit all 4 of us were singing every song. There was a large school group in the main dining room and they sang several songs. It was great. As much as my family enjoys going to the Hard Rock at Yankee Stadium, the music there us too loud and not very good. Nobody sings. We are always disappointed with the music there. Washington DC was much more fun!!
We have been there several times, food is always good and the drinks are always great. The service is ok,,..,we actually got up and left last year because we never got waited on. Decided to try again this year and service was a lot better.
We were in town to see 'Into the Woods' at Ford Theater and decided to stop in Hard Rock Cafe for drinks. Inside was busy, so we sat outside, which was fine with us. The outside seating was quite pleasant. What was not was the price of cocktails. I am a margarita guy. I appreciate good tequila. But $16.50 for a margarita in a rocks glass was a major rip-off! And to add insult to injury, the drink was watered down. This was, quite easily, the most mediocre margarita I have ever had.
Very crowed, the waiting area had to many chairs. The price was to high for the quantity of food. It was just a short walk from our hotel.
I spent 2 weeks in USA and was the worst meal of the trip and the worst service I've ever had in my life! The chicken was raw and cold also the fries and pasta. The fork was dirty and the waiter was so impolite.

Really wasn't worth the voucher, the food and pricing was cheaper to buy it yourself, chefs choice of dessert was vanilla ice cream - very disappointed with it. Done this many times before and really enjoyed it but not this time

on arrival in the Hard Rock Washington which was my husbands birthday meal we were seated next to a group of 83 young people aged around 16 years of age. The noise from them was so loud that we could not speak to each other at all during the meal. The waitress was not at all understanding of our plight, so we did not leave a tip. Would think twice about going there again.

I don't know if they were short-staffed. Food was slow, and the attendant was slow to refill or take new orders. It could be better.
Restaurant located in a beautiful area, great service. Super quiet environment. Quick meal
Hard rock not very big but cute. The "worst" in the USA, not so much for the place but for the not exactly courteous staff. You eat well as in all hard rock cafes
Excellent food, great service. All excellent. Only my mom didn’t really like meat, but still for me everything was very very good
Good place, very friendly staff We went with young children and offer food for them, in terms of menu there are not many options outside of burgers Under the expectations
Standard menu and quality, therefore good compared to what you find elsewhere. Abundant quantity. Average prices. Professional staff. Compared to other Hard Rock Cafés, it lacks a bit of atmosphere and typical setup. I had a good time and have been there three times in a row.
