This trip was split into two parts. The first part was a tour of Washington DC. That tour guide had a very strong. Egyptian accent and we couldn’t understand him. There were others in the bus who asked him to slow down. He did not. The second half of the tour was going out to Mount Vernon. This tour guide drove in a very weird manner on the roads, missed three turnoffs, and I felt like we were being held hostage with his silly jokes. Some of his information was incorrect. It seemed that both of these gentlemen were promoting their own business and once they had our money, there was really nothing we could do. I don’t think this review will result in any changes. I would not recommend either one of them.

Great guide! Enjoyed the whole day.
Dr Z was very knowledgeable and took great care that our experience was special and that we were comfortable
It was a wonderful time, but the weather did not cooperate. We did not make it to see George Washington's house. They had to close early. The rest of the trip was wonderful and the driver went out of his way to accomodate drop off's due to weather.
Great way to get an overall view of what there is to see for a 1st time visit. Also easy access for someone not able to walk to sights.
Mount Vernon is under construction. Pretty disappointed with what we were actually able to see inside the home
The tour was great. We saw lots of different monuments and Ali was great at telling us information. The only downside was that the White House was having things done to it for the inauguration so we couldn’t get a great view. We then were taken to Mount Vernon for the afternoon which was a beautiful drive through Alexandria up to Mount vernon where Charles was an amazing tour guide.
got to see several national monuments without doing too much walking. We were dropped off about as close as possible and had just enough time to see them without dilly dallying.
Had Ali today and had a great time. He was very knowledgable about the city and was patient with all of his guests when they had questions
The tour guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. I the the tour should include a stop at the Vietnam memorial.
I had paid for a day trip of Washington DC plus Mount Vernon. Unfortunately Instead I was transferred to a trip to Mount Vernon and was to be given a tour in the evening. They apparently did this as I was the only one who had booked that particular day's itinerary. I only learned this late in the day when I complained I had not seen "the sites."- I must say that the tour of Mount Vernon was very good indeed but the lack of the tour was disappointing. I had never been to DC before and booked the tour as I thought it would be the best way to experience the highlights. As I was leaving early the next day for my flight home I was too tired to go on any evening tour, particularly as I was told it would not bring me back until after 10.30 and even then I would need an Uber to take me back to my hotel. I was contacted the next day (I presume because I didn't take the evening tour) and when I explained what had happened I was told I would be credited the cost of the tour but this has not been forthcoming. This is why I have decided to go ahead with this review. Further, the driver of the van who took us to/from Mount Vernon was not very pleasant and was certainly not customer oriented. He seemed to be more concerned with bad drivers than informing us of our surroundings. He gave the distinct impression that he would rather be anywhere other than driving us around. The van was new and nice and clean, it was just the driver that disappointed. Finally, I have to restate that I enjoyed Mount Vernon but there was a lot of walking and I was exhausted, but missed what I had hoped would be a nice sie seeing tour with a commentary.
The monuments portion of the tour was well done. We paid for the additional Mount Vernon tour…We did not realize this was an addition… We were pretty much dropped off at Mount Vernon later in the day in a separate vehicle. We would have preferred to do this first in the morning as the featured portion of the tour not as some work it in deal. The tour guides seemed as though this was an inconvenience to them and asked us three times if we could go on another day… So i didn’t think 300 plus dollars for two of us was worth it.. I’m recommendimg to friends and family that they do a hop on hop off monuments tour and taking a “real” tour to mount vernon or ubering themselves out there… This experience was not worth 300 plus dollars… When i bring additional family back later in the season we’re skipping Viator..
We had a great time seeing all the attractions in DC and Mount Vernon. It is a long day but well worth it.
The Lincoln Memorial, Korean & Vietnam Memorial area. The Martin Luther King Memorial & Franklin D Roosevelt Memorial. Understanding how certain people shaped our nation during certain situations in our country's history.
This tour was split in two. AM Washington DC Mall very informative. PM Robert was exceptional very knowledgeable easy to understand and build a great rapport! Mt Vernon is more than just a house it’s a history lesson.
The tour of Washington DC arrived late and the tour guide spoke with a thick accent so at times it was very difficult to understand what was being said.
The first part of our tour felt rushed and we didn't have enough time to really see and read all of the information we wanted too on the Mall. We will do a Hop on, Hop off tour our next trip so we can spend more time seeing exactly what we want too. The second part of the tour with Robert to Mt. Vernon and Alexandria was awesome! (other than the rain). We had plenty of lesurely time to wander, read and investigate the estate. We learned thta our guide Robert was originally from our home state of Wisconsin.
We had a great time touring with Bobby and Robert. They are very knowledgeable. It is the way to see DC. Loved Bobby’s “dad jokes”
Very nice tour. Alot. Packed into 8 hours. Our morning guide Charles was fantastic. Our afterrnoon guide, Robert was great and so knowledgeable. Only thing I would change is that Robert really used the horn. But, we did get around very fast.
A must do trip if you are visiting Washington DC. Partner this tour with a half day monument tour. You can't go wrong.
Tour was an excellent introduction to a great stay in Washington, DC for anyone interested in seeing all of the important sites.
Very Good Tour- it's in two parts with two different drivers. First part driver was excellent second part the driver drove crazy.
Good tour. It lasted longer than expected because we had to change tour busses before we went to Mount Vernon. That was supposed to be a 2 hr part but we ended up on a 4 hr tour.
I enjoyed touring near the White house, seeing capital hill, and getting to meet other people on the tour.
We had a great experience. The tour is actually 2 different tours on the same day. We missed our bus from the morning session but were able to get on a second. We were appreciative that the bus to Mount Vernon waited for us. You need to move quickly through the DC monuments, but it is enough to get a quick photo at them. The Mount Vernon tour was more leisurely and the let that I enjoyed the most. All tour guides were very knowledgeable.
Our tour was cancelled and rescheduled the afternoon before it was scheduled, which scrambled all the other events we had planned for our 3 day stay in Washington DC. VERY DISAPPOINTING!! It was rescheduled due to road closures in the 4th of July. I am pretty sure that information was available prior to the day before!?!?
I cannot remember the name of our 1st driver, but he is why I gave it a 4. He refused to use the microphone so no one could hear him at all. He was talking about the monuments, white house. Congressional buildings so info we wanted to know! Very frustrating. For Mount Vernon we had Robert and he was extraordinary! Extremely knowledgeable, used the microphone and even met me the next day so I could retrieve an item we left on the bus. If the 1st driver had been heard, this would be a 5 star.
Tour with Paul was amazing. He is very knowledgeable of American history and all of the Washington sites in addition to being very entertaining! Highly recommend this tour!
It was a great way to see and learn about the area. We loved the Mount Vernon portion! We didn't get to stop at many of the monuments in DC so we planned a trip the following day to visit the National Mall on our own. There's just so much to see!
Absolutely wonderful tour. Really worth doing Tour guide was extremely nice, knowledgeable and courteous. Definitely recommend.
Very educative trip. I am happy I could see many interesting places in such a short time. The guide was very nice and told us many interesting stories aboul all the buildings and places we have visited.
Very informational and fun! It was nice being able to see so many sites and not have to fight traffic and walk all day. Our tour guide was very kind and helpful. He ensured everyone was taken care of and safe. We are so glad we decided to take the all day tour. It is something we will always remember fondly.
Dr. Zohery is a Very knowledgeable guide! The route is well planned with enough time to step out and take great pictures. Great communication before, during and after the tour. It was an excellent way to get to know the city and its history. Fully recommend!
Take this tour, well worth your time. Guide is extremely knowledgeable about all the sights and monuments and also very attentive to details.
This was our first visit to Washington DC and chose tours according to what we wanted to see and the reviews written by other travelers. We chose Zohery Tours and was certainly pleased that we did. Ali made history come to life with his wealth of knowledge and the answered all our questions. He gave detailed information about every site and more. We had ample time to visit each stop and his bus was comfortable and clean. I wish we had time to take all of MR. ALI ZOHERY'S TOURS..Five stars is not enough, I'd give him 10.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We enjoyed our day very much. This tour was a great way to see D. C. In one day.
We had a great day (in the rain) touring the city and stopping at monuments. Ali (owner and our driver) knew all about the DC area, citing facts and pointing out landmarks almost the entire drive. My favorite part of the tour was not looking for parking or running through the rain to find our car. The bus stopped, we jumped out and saw all we wanted and the bus was waiting for us to hop back on. The city itself was disappointing. The White House is practically hidden from view and the chain link fencing everywhere made me sad. But it’s my Capitol City and I wanted to see it, good, bad and ugly. My Vernon in the rain was not ideal and we didn’t have near enough time on the grounds but saw what we could with a driver waiting for us. Ali took the tour with us, pointing out what he could. While in the house you cannot speak even with a mask on because of COVID protocols. We ate at the restaurant on site after our tour and it was so good!
I booked the tour only because it promised the mount vernon house tour from inside. I was not getting this on the actual site mountvernon.org as it was totally booked for that day april 3,2021. after a very messy day tour with it being switched with two different drivers and they taking us the few of the same places and wasting our time, not to mention the first lady kept forgetting dates and places. thesecond one had a very think accent and couldnt be understood over the mike, we managed to reach mount vernon by 3:30. At this point Mr zohary talks to the entry person and says to us the tickets are sold out because of todays rush and covid. which was totally not true. they were sold out for weeks in advance. we felt cheated and since we were verbally upset with him, he made us stand in line there for another half an hour to see if the people there will have pity on him and let us in. Not to mention all this time we hadn't had lunch because he had mentioned that lunch will be at mount vernon. after some discussion we decided not to keep standing in line and at 4 we decided to rush and see whatever estate we can since it closes at 5. we rushed back to the snack shop but it was already closed at 4:30. my kids were thirsty and not had any food since morning. thank god we though of putting some granola bars in the morning. this was an absolute waste of time. we felt totally cheated. Absolute sham. Same on Zohary tours
