Maribeth was outstanding! Wonderful tour that includes so many great stops, and she was knowledgeable about each one. Provided lots of additional information and presented everything in an engaging and interactive way. She was super friendly, open to answering questions, and just having conversations. Absolutely recommend this tour, as long as you don’t mind a bit of walking! Great way to see a lot of the key sights in Washington DC, as well as a beautiful view from the top of the Washington monument!
Maribeth was our tour guide for the DC monument tour and I cannot rave enough about how fantastic of a time we had. We learned so much, and saw so much, that really brought all the monuments to life. She pointed details I would’ve never know otherwise - and made sure to continue to do so ahead of time so when we went up the Monument we were able to fully enjoy everything. She is extremely well researched, presents amazing, and you can tell really has a passion for this subject. Would definitely recommend Maribeth as a tour guide for any tour you are taking - fantastic experience!
Way too hot for enjoying monument viewing.. schedulea month or more out for going up the Washington Monument... we could not get tickets 10 days out.... Big Bus tour was a bust after the air conditioning stopped halfway through and tour commentary was not much..... Bible Museum was great and also the Spy museum. City Cruise to Mount Vernon was also ill prepared for weather and "guided tour" over speakers on boat was worthless. Mount Vernon was great and the museum was impressive. Great American State Fair was fun, but the heat made it tough to enjoy fully and crowds in places slowed everything.
Great tour and great tour guide
Jim did a great job for us. Outstanding knowledge of what we saw
The tour was absolutely fantastic. Allen did a great job in informing us of the historical details as well as their significance. Totally enjoyable.
Annmarie was an excellent tour guide. We have done many tours, wish all were as good as this was. She made she interacted with everyone & knew our names. She shared so much information that was easy to understand.
Annemarie was excellent! She made us very comfortable touring us around the monuments. We learned a lot touring.
Maribeth was a great tour guide! Would recommend this activity to anyone going to DC and wanting to hit all the attractions and learn a bunch all in one go!!
Annemarie was great at explaining everything to my kids. We loved it
We enjoyed it so much. Jim really fit the tour to our interests. I would recommend!
Ryan was a fantastic tour guide! Very knowledgeable, patient, and professional So glad we did this tour with a guide to tell us things we wouldn’t have otherwise known
Rebecca was the bomb! The area we were supposed to meet at was closed for repairs, so while I was looking for her phone number to ask where to go, she was calling me! great service :-) Very knowledgeable and patient. Timed everything perfectly, would highly recommend Rebecca for this as well as any tour!
We did the DC Monuments Tour with our guide Anne Marie. She was energetic, pleasant and informative. She showed pertinent pictures on her IPad and had great knowledge of all that we saw, giving interesting tidbits along the way. She had time for all questions and gave us helpful hints for other sites.
Very knowledgeable, easy going, and great to spend a few hours with.
We had such a wonderful experience on this walking tour of the Washington DC monuments and memorials! Annemarie was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly informative—sharing not just the history, but also stories that brought the sites to life. The pace was perfect, never rushed, and she made sure everyone felt engaged and comfortable. What really stood out was how much she went above and beyond. She gave us great local tips and food recommendations for the rest of our stay, and even offered to take our picture—a thoughtful touch that made for a much better memory than our usual selfies. This tour was a great way to start our trip, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting DC!
We had Brenda as our tour guide for the DC National Mall tour, and she was excellent. What we enjoyed the most was the thoughtfulness and perspective she offered at each memorial and at the Washington Monument. Her depth of knowledge really showed and made the tour that much better. She also offered us some tips while in DC and they have already come in handy. Thank you Brenda!
Brenda gave us a super great morning in Washington. She was so friendly and had an incredible amount of knowledge, which she conveyed very clearly. We were very lucky that the three of us were alone with Brenda. We can recommend her 1000 percent and would like to thank her once again for the great tour. In the end we were able to climb the Washington Monument without any problems. Everything worked out wonderfully.
Informative and Friendly. Annemarie was a wealth of information and helpful with photos. Easily answered all our questions and brought a clear understanding to my grandsons questions. Highest recommendations.
Annemarie was such a great guide! She was easy to follow and really related with our teenagers. She was fun and took great pictures. We stayed right on time too!
Maureen did an amazing job leading our tour! She pointed out all the monuments along the Mall while giving interesting background and historical context. We all learned something new. Maureen was engaging and helpful. Going up in the Washington Monument at the end of the tour was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience!
We lucked out with a beautiful day and an amazing tour guide for the DC Mall and Washington Monument tour. Brenda was VERY informative, funny and always asked if we had questions. There was so much she told us that you would never know if you walked the mall and memorials yourself. I highly recommend this tour!!
Our tour guide, Brenda, was personable, responsive to our group's needs, and paced the tour well. She was also knowledgeable about both local and national history. I feel like this was a unique tour and a manageable amount of walking for tweens & teens. Given this experience, we would definitely book again with Babylon.
Maureen was personable, friendly, and informative as we walked around to the various monuments. We especially enjoyed the view from the top of the Washington Monument.
We had the best tour with Annemarie! Our tour was nice and small, only 7 of us and we not only stopped at the Lincoln memorial and war memorials but learned a lot about the design of the DC mall as well as lots of hidden secrets at each of the sites. She managed to even keep our kids engaged and learning, would absolutely do another tour with her!
Great place for any American citizen, took a bus tour, great museums, tour the national mall and all the memorials, my favorite, Lincoln memorial.!
There is so much to see and learn on this Mall walking tour. History at every turn. An expert guide like Ryan is a must! Thanks Babylon!
Meghan was very knowledgeable and thorough. We had a very nice tour . The tour was well organized and I didn’t feel rushed . Adequate time for each stop .
I’ve been looking forward to this tour for some time and Annemarie made it an even better experience than I had imagined. She covered so much in detail and provided a truly memorable day
Wonderful tour. Our guide was amazing. Thank you. Very informative with interesting facts. Highly recommend. It's a wonderful place to visit.
Amazing experience. Brenda was very interesting guide for the kids especially. Washington monument was so fast. Really great for those who want to see those monuments with stories behind.
Annemarie was amazing! My son is 9 and my oldest is 14, plus adults. She was able to keep the entire group interested. We learned so much. We were able cover so much in the national mall because of her understanding of the monuments and area. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
Our guide, Annemarie was professional and knowledgeable. She provided a wealth of interesting information. I would highly recommend this informative tour.
Maribeth was great, great for the adults and kids. It was well worth the money to have a personalized guide otherwise we would have missed many many details and facts that she pointed out.
We absolutely loved this small walking tour of the mall. Plus, it included the Washington monument. So convenient! We finished the tour at the monument and went right to the top. Brenda, our guide, was an amazing fountain of knowledge! Plus she knew where to take the best pictures and took them for us! We really enjoyed her and would sign up for another tour with her!
This was the perfect activity for my family while we were in the DC area for a wedding. Just being able to go up into the Washington Monument makes it worth it, seeing as those tickets apparently sell out like 6 months in advance. Amanda was our tour guide and she was absolutely perfect. We have a very talkative/inquisitive 13-year-old and Amanda was very patient, answering every. single. question. Honestly I have zero notes in terms of what could be improved. We learned a lot, it was a beautiful day, and we had an incredible time.
Wonderful! And the best part is that they include tickets to take you and anyone else in the group up the Washington monument which gets sold out super fast. It’s a first come first serve situation. So it’s wonderful knowing you’re guaranteed tickets up there with your purchase. Our guide Maribeth was so informative and went above and beyond! Can’t wait to do this in the future with my other kids.
Terrific tour. Annmarie was so friendly and was a mine of information and covered all the memorials as promised. Great.
Our guide - Annemarie Voss - was awesome; personable, smart, and very comfortable walking and presenting great detail about each site. She was an absolute pro and made our tour in a 100 degree summer day very memorable.
Richard was an excellent tour guide, he was well informed and made learning fun for my grandson we really enjoyed our tour
We had an enjoyable tour with Richard! We met promptly at Lafayette Square, saw the White House and other landmark buildings, while making our way around the National Mall. Richard included many nuggets along the way, including the dam system to keep the White House from being flooded, organizations that throw fun parties, historical stories, and more. I appreciated Richard pointing out the place where MLK Jr. delivered his "I Have a Dream" speech and the connection to Marian Anderson. The soldiers at the Korean War memorial were stunning, as well as the stories from veterans Richard had worked with. We likely covered at least 3 miles, so be prepared to walk. There are restrooms along the way. The memorials are also dog friendly, even the Lincoln Memorial, so if you have a well-behaved canine, bring along! Great tour to see many key monuments and can be adapted if group is small enough/enough time. Highly recommend!
Maribeth was very knowledgeable, personable and fun. A great walking experience. We started at Lafeyette Park and finished at the Korean War Memorial. There was plenty of time to take photos and explore. We were able to ask numerous questions along the way.
The day was wonderful with Richard: easy, informative and so personal. He made our day! I highly recommend.
Richard was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took us in an interesting and informative tour. It was like walking through the city with a brilliant friend. We highly recommend him!!!
Amanda was a fantastic tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable and so friendly. We had a great time.
Tony was an excellent guide! Very knowledgeable. We had a great time and learned a lot. Would highly recommend!
white house and memorials and Lincoln memorial walk around whole mall and washington monument great experience
Wonderful guided tour by Tony. Informative and kind. Definitely recommended. We were able to see all of the major memorials and Tony could tell us the history of the construction and why design choices were made. It was a great experience
Donna was a wonderful guide for our tour. She was incredibly knowledgable about the monuments, and so fun to be with! We wanted to join her on another tour just so we could be with her, but our schedule did not allow.
