Bottom Line: Jeff is an amazing human who happens to have an incredible amount of passion for and knowledge of our nations history. Grateful that my family was able to experience this masterclass in said history. We are all better for it. Details: Concierge is right! This was a fully personalized experience even before the tour. Due to some scheduling conflicts and weather considerations, Jeff coordinated with me directly to settle on a time that was most flexible for all of us. Jeff came prepared for all things we might need on the tour. He ensured everyone was comfortable and safe. I think the best part was how he got to know each one of us a little bit and was able to weave that knowledge into the tour plan and engage us all (elementary age kids, college-aged kids, crusty middle-aged parents) on a personal level. We had so much fun and learned a ton! Follow-up after the tour was immediate and again very personalized. Great experience and highly recommended!

Jeff is the Best of the Best! His wealth of knowledge of DC is absolutely incredible. From our pick up to drop off he didn’t miss a beat. We decided to meet Jeff on location as we were staying at the National Harbor outside of DC. He had our bikes and water ready! We got a quick intro and off we went. It was a beautiful day and hit just about everything on our ride. One thing Jeff forgets to mention is he becomes your personal photographer along the way which is a dream. He knows all the best places for photograph opportunities which only adds to the experience afterwards. The amount of info he gave to us through out of trip, I wish I was able to record him! 10/10. When we were ready for lunch he suggested going down to the warf for lunch as he knew we liked tacos and again another 10/10 experience. We traveled about 6.5 miles during our day and we probably could have kept going. It was such a fun trip and something we have never done before. We can’t stop talking about it!! This was a singular DC experience; there's no way we would have seen half of the sights or learned a tenth of what we did with Jeff's custom tours. If you really want to see and learn about the nation's capital, this is your best option.

We were so impressed by Jeff and his second Marianne. The quality of the bikes, complementary snacks, and water bottles all added to a wonderful day chasing our family member as she ran the Marine Corps marathon. Jeff’s knowledge of DC his ability to shift given road closures made this method of seeing a family member in a road race the best possible. A bonus, we didn’t know until he shared about 100 photos he took throughout the course of the morning,that he’s a phenomenal photographer and not only caught us in planned photos, but his candids told the story of the day that we would’ve never captured on our own.

The Ride of Our Lives September 2025 My husband, myself and our dog Bonnie recently completed the Great Allegheny Passage and C&O Canal Towpath with our guide, Jeff Miller of DC Cycling Concierge. The trip was an unforgettable adventure. Jeff was outstanding providing excellent insights into the history and landmarks along the way. Jeff was patient with us and traveling 350 miles by bicycle with our dog. The trip was well organized, meals well planned and the itinerary struck a nice balance between riding time, rest, and exploration.

My husband and I did the DC Wilderness Tour with Jeff and it was an amazing experience. We've lived in Dc for over 20 years but had never been to Anacostia Park. We saw so much wildlife - the ride was a nice combination of nature and city sights. Dc is such a green, bike friendly city and it was so nice having Jeff navigate the way. Besides being an incredibly kind and likable guy, Jeff has an encyclopedic knowledge of DC history and its many historical sights. Highly recommend their bike tours as a unique way to see the city while getting a nice dose of cardio!

Did this ride with my family which included 50 years old to 12 years old. It was a great cross between education, sightseeing, and exercise. Jeff was an amazing guide. He rode at our pace and customized the route to suite our interests and to spend time where we had not previously in our trip to DC. I highly recommend this activity!

I've lived in DC a long time and rather than just showing my family around myself, I enlisted Jeff for a special tour. He is so knowledgable! We were filled with history detials - like did you know how S, M, L sizing came to be the norm? Uniforms in the civil war! Jeff provided nice bikes, met us downtown, had ample snacks and joined us for lunch, too! A delightful day.

It is hard to come up with a new or different way to describe what an amazing Tour we had with Jeff. All the reviews are accurate but they can never describe just how great the experience is. We have done a number of bike tours in cities when we travel but nothing has come close to our Tour of Washington with Jeff. It wasn't just his in depth knowledge of Washington and safe cycling practices, but the fact that Jeff has biked around the world made for such fascinating conversation. He was fun and interesting. This is the tour you want if you are visiting DC! Jeff and DC Cycling Concierge completely customized our ride and gave my husband and I everything we could have imagined for the experience. We really wanted to explore DC and get the layout of the city so we could learn about cool areas and hear interesting facts about the town's development and secret spots. Jeff met us at our hotel with bikes, we rode to Georgetown, saw the University, past really cute neighborhoods, stopped by Julia Child's and Jackie Kennedy's former house, and took a little break at a cute coffee shop. We went along the water front of the Potomac River, to the Wharf, past the Nationals stadium, and to Navy Yard. Plus stops at the Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, WWII Memorial, Washington Monument, and the Capital. We had originally booked a 3 hr tour but were having such a good time we ended up extending our tour so we could see more and experience the monuments at night, they truly are so beautiful all lit up! Jeff was incredibly knowledgeable about the city, full of interesting, fun, and cool facts. I couldn't imagine seeing the city via any other method, than by bike. Jeff prioritizes safety and ensures you are comfortable and confident during the ride. He knows all the protected bike routes and lanes, so we could breeze past traffic and get up close to the best sites. He guided us so well, we felt confident renting bikes the next couple of days to revisit some of the sites he has shown us during the tour. (Highly recommend trying to catch the sunset from the rooftop bar at the Pendry on the wharf!) Thanks, Jeff and DC Cycling Concierge. Jeff was amazing. He took our family of 9 on DC biking tour of the mall. He is extremely knowledgable, super interesting and tells funny stories. He did an amazing job of keeping our children engaged. This was a great way to see all the sites and be moving at the same time. We highly recommend booking!

We were in town for business and wanted to end the week with a fun activity. Jeff came highly recommended. I’ve visited the DC sites before, but never with a tour guide. Jeff absolutely crushed it. Jeff was recommended to us from family friends who had taken his tour. Our family of 4 (me, hubby, two "kids" ages 18 and 20) had the most amazing ride. I am not great on a bike and let Jeff know prior to our visit. Jeff setup my bike the way I wanted, kept an eye on me during our ride and customized our ride to limit riding in traffic as much as possible. We had no idea how bike friendly DC is, partly due to Jeff's previous advocacy work. I was much more at ease seeing the barriers and bright/wide bike lanes throughout the city. We could not believe how many monuments/sights Jeff showed us during our ride, and he kept us totally engaged with historical facts (both textbook and anecdotal) peppered with lots of dad jokes! We would highly recommend this to get a great overview of DC because it would have been exhausting by foot yet much more personal than a bus tour. Jeff was prompt at our hotel with everything we needed, including water bottles which we got to keep and snacks to fuel our ride. He took multiple family photos for us during the ride which he airdropped when we were done. We would totally do this again on a future visit!

What an awesome experience with Charlie. We took a 50km loop around DC from our hotel. The parks, cycling infrastructure and sights were amazing. Arrangements prior to the tour was simple, fast, efficient and most of all, customizable! My wife is pretty new to cycling and she did the distance in good time and enjoyed in thoroughly! I had a gravel and wifey had a hybrid. Bikes were well maintained and we even got free bottles too!

Jeff worked with me to customize our surprise anniversary day ride. We had seen some of the key sights but not all before the ride. If we were near a “must see,” Jeff was happy to lead us right to the front! He took photos along the way so we didn’t have to worry about that. We rode about 20 miles and had plenty of water and snacks available. Very knowledgeable about the District and what a fun ride!! Highly recommended experience!

This custom tour was absolutely fantastic! From Bethesda, we took the Capital Cresent Trail into the city, paid our respects at the Martin Luther King Jr memorial, captured a group pic under the cherry blossoms, explored The Wharf in southwest DC, rode through the beautifully tranquil Anacostia Park, and took the Rock Creek Park bikeway home - all on off road trails or protected bike lanes. It truly was an amazing day of riding with friends. Many, many thanks to Jeff who not only created a route for multiple skill levels but also provided us with snipets of history (and snacks!) throughout the ride.

If there’s one thing you do while visiting DC with 11-year-old kids it’s Jeff tour. We spent the day with him and had truly the greatest time if we left the day after our trip to DC would be complete. He was patient knowledgeable, and wonderful company for the day. I can’t wait to book him again the next time we’re here.

I highly recommend biking with Jeff. I learned a lot about the layout of the Mall and monuments. Jeff explained what we were seeing in a thoughtful, engaging manner. Our group consisted of two teen girls and two Moms in town for a Mom/Daughter DC Spring break trip. All four of us girls and ladies felt safe 100% of the time doing the night bike ride. I called Jeff prior to booking. He gave us excellent suggestions about the timing of the ride. We enjoyed the sunset and saw the monuments at night which was memorable. He also patiently took many great pictures. The bikes and helmets were quality. Jeff was punctual and checked carefully to make sure the bikes and helmets fit us. This is a fun and safe experience for families or a group of women with a genuinely kind guide.

From the moment Jeff picked us up until the moment he dropped us off, our day with Jeff was spectacular and everything we possibly could have asked for. Among the 4 of us on the tour, two of us are life long Washingtonians and two of us live in Maine. Jeff was extraordinarily knowledgeable about every stop we made along the trip. Hands down the best thing I decided to book for our family DC trip. My kids aren’t the biggest fans of museums and sightseeing in general. Geoff was funny, kind and super knowledgeable. His bikes are comfortable and high performing. He is a great communicator which made planning with him easy as can be. He had all of us fully engaged for 3 full hours. He is also very flexible- picked us up from our hotel in Georgetown and dropped us off where we needed to be for our next tour. The kids were complaining the minute we got off the bikes. We would absolutely recommend DC Cycling to anyone (even if you don’t have kids) and would book him again in a heartbeat. We were able to cover so much ground on the bikes so it was very efficient as well.

Jeff is a great cycling guide. He knows the best areas, trails and sights in DC and neighboring Virginia and Maryland. I had a great ride on paved bike trails and some gravel trails in areas that I wanted to ride. I can enthusiastically recommend DC Cycling Concierge.

My brother was in town for the holiday. I've lived in DC for 20 years and so we had already toured the monuments, Rock Creek, Georgetown, the waterfront etc in previous visits. Jeff took us along the Anacostia River and all the way up to Hyattsville, MD. We saw plenty of wildlife and learned some interesting history about the area including an old dueling ground and an infamous War of 1812 battle. In the end we biked 16 miles on a beautiful crisp autumn afternoon - a perfect way to work up an appetite on the day before Thanksgiving. Thank you Jeff!

Jeff was a fabulous guide and he made it so simple for us, meeting at our hotel and providing everything, including gloves and jackets when it got cooler. He’s a wealth of knowledge and added a lot to each stop. He took some wonderful photos and knew all the best places. It also felt very safe. I was planning a surprise anniversary trip with my husband to the DC area and found Jeff's name in the Trail Guide for the GAP and C&O trails. I told him our situation and he had many suggestions for cycling routes even before I booked with him. We enjoyed a full day with him - first cycling from Great Falls right into DC with Jeff regaling us with stories, history and fun facts about the area. We met up with him again in the evening for the night tour of the beautifully lit up city and amazing details about the sites and monuments. The bike tour around DC was epic! We had the best time and Jeff is so passionate and knowledgeable about all the sites. It felt like we saw everything in three hours. My husband has been wanting to do a DC bike tour for ages, and this exceeded all of our expectations. We've lived in DC for years but wanted an opportunity to play tourist in our own city and really embrace the history. Within 10 minutes of the tour starting I knew that Jeff was going to knock it out of the park. We learned so much, laughed a ton, and it felt like we were cruising the town with a great friend. We had a wonderful 3 day family tour with DC Cycling Concierge to celebrate our daughter’s graduation in May. My wife came across Jeff by touring with him virtually on iFit. Jeff gathered information from us by phone to create a custom tour. He gathered everyone’s names, abilities and our general interests. The first day involved classic and lesser know DC sites. For the second day we ventured on back roads to explore the beautiful Great Falls National Park by bike and foot. For the final day, Jeff had arranged for his colleague Eric to lead a Maryland Chesapeake coast tour. Special touches included entertaining commentary, history lessons, snacks, ice cream and accommodating a last minute request for a generous lunch stop. Jeff was the BEST! My children are 13, 11, and 9. He was an awesome guide. He was kind, patient, helped us take the best pictures, made it educational and told some of the best stories as we were resting after we would cycle. He brought waters for us, and snacks. So generous. The tour was PERFECT! Loved the experience we had and would hands down recommend him 100% to anyone!

We had a wonderful experience! We've lived in DC for 7 years, and there were so many new things that we learned, not only about the history of DC, but about great bike routes to take that connect the city. And we got some good exercise finishing up at a 20 mile ride!! It was a chilly morning and Jeff had all the gear we needed to keep us warm so we didn't have to worry about the weather. I am not a typical review writer - but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to sing Jeff's praises. Our DC bike tour was BY FAR the highlight of our trip and 1000% worth every dollar spent. Jeff is super accommodating, extremely responsive and the tour surpassed all our expectations and then some. My 16 YO son (who is very hard to impress and keep interested) was engaged and intrigued by Jeff's vast knowledge of the sites, monuments and history. I've been to DC quite a few times and I learned more in the hours we spent with Jeff than any other trip! Jeff oozes passion, pride and excitement for his work AND providing the best experience for his guests! To be honest, 5 stars doesn't seem enough!
