We had a wonderful time on our Potomac River cruise. The food was good. We especially liked sitting on the top deck enjoying the scenery and visiting with old friends.
I booked for people with my job, and all five of them stated they enjoyed themselves. I recommend the lunch cruise.
The food looked and tasted like slop. Lukewarm and no salt available. Charged for a Diet Coke. Felt like I was intruding on an all black party, and more than 70% were morbidly obese. The views of land from the boat were unimpressive and not pretty. The staff was kind and happy, the only redeeming factor. Sailing the Potomac is a must-do. Just not with this outfit.

Never ever ever book this with TripAdvisor, call city cruises and book with them directly. It was our anniversary, 20 year anniversary no less. Showed up at the dock and the cruise had been cancelled the previous WEEK! No notification from TripAdvisor was ever received. They did give me a refund but also I was out $26 parking and a completely ruined anniversary. I talked with citycruises and they said it happens frequently with people booking through third party sites.
Great experience everyone seemed to have an amazing time!!! Great buffet , customer service was amazing! One recommendation: please have the staff serve the buffet…. It will minimize handling of the food especially since we are trying to avoid contamination. We so some adults and children mishandling the food. Thanks again for an amazing Brunch Cruise in DC.

It was the worst experience ever!! I arrived the location 4 mins after the scheduled departure of 11:30am because I entered so much traffic enroute to the location.. I was immediately told I can’t join the cruise then I called viator in an attempt to reschedule for the next day and the rep really tried but the local operator was rude and tried charging me an additional $300 for me and my husband.. no understanding nor nothing.. I lost my initial payment of $220 usd and didn’t get to do the tour!!!!
The boat was nice and clean. Staff was fun and friendly. Gave it a 4 out of 5 because of how long we were waiting in line to board and the food selection was not kid-friendly.

The boarding time was timely and everyone was friendly. My seating was up stairs and they announced my birthday my server was professional and friendly. We danced and did the line dancing the music was a nice.

Group had a great time inside and on deck. My only issue is with the instructions on your website. The site said to be there to board at 10:45. The ticket counter said 11:30 when we arrived. Left us waiting in 90 degree heat for 45 minutes. Update the website for tru boarding time.
The DJ was great. The atmosphere was super fun. The food was fantastic. It was a birthday trip for my sister and we had a blast.
From start to finish it was a very enjoyable experience. The staff were all wonderful with smiles and helpfulness the whole time. The ship was clean, the food was very delicious and the DJ kept everyone dancing.

The ambiance was pleasant and nice. The servers was great! The food was the worst, cold and horrible, over cooked, except the salmon. The rest you could really tell the sides but they were cold. Servers ladies was very kind. We experience a seating problem with a lady in our group who had MS. She was treated with low dignity, humiliation an made to sit uncomfortably at our table. I kinda lost my appetite which didn't matter because the food was cold and awful except the salmon. Not worth the money we spent. The music was nice, and the people was wonderful. Everyone seem generous and respectful. The trip was alright. We rode up an back in the water. Bring a sweater. If they had better food, then I would give at least 4 stars. I give 3 stars for the boat ride an servers was nice. Food tasted horrible and it got cold.
Fun cruise. Good food and service. You can't really see any Washington monuments from the river. They also told us to be at the dock at a certain time and they were running 30 min late. The posted time was conflicting so it was hard to tell what time they really start boarding. But, the staff and crew were great and we had a nice time.
The actual tour was great. The food was wonderful. It was a beautiful day and the views were great. I recommend the tour. Unfortunately, I am having my first negative experience with Viator. I am due a partial refund that they are refusing to process.
All the staffs work so hard!!!! Food selections were good, more than I expected. And they taste good also. The only complaint is the windows need to be clean

Family took me for my birthday on Friday July 18th and the trip started late, food was horrible if I could give 0 stars I would! The food was cold, dry tasting and looking and couldn’t tell what it was the presentation was not giving class it was giving trash for a boat lunch trip, the drinks were weak and watered down. My family nor I did not enjoy myself at all for it being me and my family first time. Other than that our server Javion was exceptionally amazing that was the only great thing about the trip. It was not worth my hard earned money…. If after a lunch boat trip you gotta stop and get something to eat that’s a red flag…
It’s is very organized as far as ushering people in and seating them at tables. Wait staff did not come around to us for drink orders. We had to remind them. Music was loud. Wished the cruise would have gone by more DC scenery like down toward Key Bridge.
We were told boarding begins at 10:45 and to arrive early…they don’t start boarding until 11:30. mass chaos, no organization for boarding, not many places to sit and wait, standing outside in the sun. Food was mediocre at best, especially for the price. DJ microphone and ship speakers very crackly and hard to understand. Expected more of a sightseeing informative tour of historic sights, not much was said.

We have never been treated so rudely in our lives. The entire cruise we were never served. We went to the bar to get our drinks otherwise we would have never had drinks. The kind bus boys brought us ice but that was if.
This buffet is slow with very few options. There is also slow service due to not enough employees. The cruise left thirty minutes late, as well.

Way too slow getting in had to stand out in the heat. They said they were available 45 minutes before and it was really 30 minutes before. they took forever to check people, and it was like herding. Cattle. Only monuments you saw were two that you can see anywhere in DC. And the music was way too loud. We could not even hear each other talk . Food was good, but that was about it.
Staff are super professional and kind - very welcoming! Outdoor spaces could be more comfortable. Check in process prior to boarding is pretty rough. Food was good overall. DJ played great tunes - could have been a tiny bit quieter for the first hour while eating before turning up the dance floor :)
It was not clear that there were differences in the ticket pricing and seats. Upon arrival we were refused window seats because we had not paid for it. I have done the same tour two years ago and I was more upscale. Seating was upstairs. Drinks were included but now event soft drinks were for a charge, seating was downstairs with no access to upper deck, the food was cold and under palatable and drinks were paid. Not worth it.
My experience was amazing. Me and my daughter really enjoy yourselves and it was my birthday so I had a wonderful time . I would recommend this cruises to anyone thanks you guys!!

The loading onto the boat was very unorganized. Music was to loud and not my kind of music. Some of the food was okay but half had no flavor at all. The chicken and desserts were good. The scenery was nice. Definitely not worth the price. I would not recommend it to anyone.

If you want to see some scenic places -it's wrong tour, the boat was going on the circles, about 10 miles in one direction and came back. The same views about 10 times. If you want to eat pretty good food and to have some fun on the dance floor-then you are in right place. The service was not too great but it was a buffet, so it was not big deal. I recommend to go as a big group.

Who would’ve thought that having a DJ and dancing on a lunch cruise would’ve been so much fun? Let me tell you, it was amazing! The food was delicious and the staff were all very polite and attentive!

Not a good place for scenery. However, the ride was smooth, the crew were welcoming and friendly, and the food quality was very good.
The boarding process was a mess. People everywhere and boarded at almost 1130 not 1045. We did not see anything scenic other than the river. Tour made it sound like we would see scenic DC views. The food was mediocre and all tasted the same. Highly disappointed for cost.
We paid too much for the worst experience ever! We arrived at the pier at 10:30 am. Although there were long lines and boarding was suppose to start at 11 am with an 11:30 am departure, they didn't start boarding until 11:20 am and we departed at 12 pm. We paid $233 (plus $30 for 2 glasses of wine) for a guaranteed window table. The windows were dirty and above shoulder level. Because of crowded tables, loud music, & pore acoustics, we couldn't carry on a conversation. Even our smart watches warned us about loud noise. The food was mediocre and the service was poor. We had to ask 4 times to pay for our wine. The boat traveled in circles and there was very little notable scenery (i.e., only Fells Point, distant Washington Monument, Anacostia Bridge). Save your money and avoid this tourist trap!
