Our tour guide was Ingeborg. She did was very interesting and shared some great information. She was able to adjust our schedule with the funerals and road closures. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Itinerary
We don't just show you the sites; we tell you the stories. Come along on this family-friendly tour of one of this nation's most sacred grounds.
Pay respect to the Kennedy's: President John F. Kennedy, Jackie Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, Ted Kennedy and their eldest brother, Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr.
Here the story of a real "Captain America," Medal of Honor Recipient Audie Murphy and discuss the nearby USS Maine, Space Shuttle Challenger, Space Shuttle Columbia and Iran Rescue Mission Memorials.
We will explain the history of the Changing of the Guards, what it takes to be a sentinel and make sure you get one of the best views of this time-honored tradition.
Honor those lost on the Space Shuttles Challenger, Columbia, and Iran Rescue Mission. "Remember the Maine," and learn where this rallying cry came from while looking at the original ship's mast.
Head to the top of the hill for a breathtaking view of Washington, DC. We will have time to visit the "Slave Houses" and the Museum briefly to understand how Robert E. Lee's home became Arlington National Cemetery
See the Air Force Memorial from a distance from the grounds of Arlington House and learn how Arlington Cemetery is expanding to surround this memorial.
We do not walk past Section 60 which often has families and loved ones visiting graves of those killed in action in recent years, but we talk about the enduring legacy of Arlington Cemetery today.
We provided a self guided audio tour and map for anyone who would like to take the additional 15 minute walk to visit Iwo Jima Marine Corps Memorial outside the cemetery. The guide will not join you for this stop. At Iwo Jima Marine Corps Memorial, you can either continue 10 minutes to Rosslyn Metro or walk back 15 minutes to Arlington Cemetery Visitor Center.
We end the tour outside the Military Women's Memorial and museum, where you can learn how women have contributed to the military might of America through the years.
The first President to be buried at Arlington Cemetery, President (and Supreme Court Chief Justice) Taft lies here with his wife, Nellie Taft. It is thanks to her efforts we have the famous Cherry Blossom trees.

Very touching. Colin did a great job. Bring water. More walking up and downhill than I expected. So much to know, experience
Lots of uphill walking. Lots of stairs going down. Bring a water bottle! Colin was great! Very knowledgeable, friendly, considerate.
Very informative tour, and incredible experience. There is some walking with this tour, but if you can handle the walk I highly recommend the walking tour as it's so much more detailed. Our guide was amazing!
Arlington Cemetery was the most solemn patriotic memorial heartfelt experience I’ve ever had walking through a cemetery
Idenborg was a great guide. She had lots of great info for us. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Highly recommend.
Colin our guide was very knowledgable and the tour was very moving. We enjoyed the entire tour very much.
Our guide Colin was excellent. Our family was 7 total group was 9. It is a speedy hilly walk. Definitely for those that walk fast. The history that Colin shared was great. 40 and under walkers 😃
Becca was knowledgeable and eager to answer questions. She provided a lot of information on the cemetary. It’s an enjoyable tour with a reasonable amount of walking- would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues and definitely not recommended on super hot and humid days.
Perfect pace, fact filled, very interesting all around. We were happy we booked this tour. It made the ANC come to life.
Becca was a fantastic guide. She knew the answers to our all of our questions. She’s also got an upbeat personality!
It was a beautiful and humbling experience seeing the many many headstones of the men and women who fought and died for our freedom! God bless America! The jet flyovers were a bonus!!! Although our guide could have been better. That is why the 3 stars.
Unfortunately in my tour we didn't go to all the places listed on the itinerary, I would recommend not paying for this and only hitting the spots you're intereted in. Alot of the facts given seemed googable so you could also just google things as you approach certain areas. My tour guide didn't seem experienced enough and it made the tour feel pointless, he left a lot of questions unanswered or lack of recalling certain things. On a positive note this is great for foreign tourists who are just looking to learn a little of American history and if you like company these are great. It also helps to take pictures with your group.
Excellent trip. In depth explanation. Such a peaceful place to visit. Such a great honor and respect for all those warriors who gave their lives for the country. And that was the day of "flower of remembrance" such a great privilege and honor to visit this place on that day. Our guide was awesome. Even though it was a few hours trip, the guide, Trevor became a very good friend. Very friendly yet very professional.
Despite the hills and stairs, the tour was worth it. The guide was very knowledgeable. Learned more on this tour than when I took the tram tour.
The tour was very interesting. Colin did a great job. He pointed out relevant items as we walked by and took us to the main tourist attractions as well. We had a great time and learned a lot about the cemetery and the civil war.
Kevin was guide and was fantastic. Took all of our questions in stride and if he didn’t know he would just let us know that. He found out they were laying a wreath and the Tomb of the Unknown Solider and he made sure we stayed.
We booked the 2.5 hour walking tour. It is not a difficult walk but you will want to make sure you are wearing good shoes for walking. This was the best tour we went on while in DC. Our tour guide, Trevor, was knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommended him as a tour guide. The tour was well organized and we were grateful for the opportunity to see the changing of the guard ceremony. We were given several opportunities throughout the tour to ask Trevor questions and developed a deeper understanding of the history and significance of Arlington Cemetery.
Definitely take the walking tour. Tyler our tour guide was very good and informative. You can see so much more than taking the tour bus
Tour guide Glen S. Very knowledgeable and personable. He positioned us to get the best views for the changing of the guard and wreath ceremonies.
This is the perfect way to see Arlington. Greg was our tour guide. He guided us so that we arrived in time to get a great seat for the changing of the guard. He recognized right away there would be a wreath ceremony so after the changing of the guard he guided us so we had a front row seat to watch the Sentinel give instructions to the group laying the wreath. He was so knowledgeable.
Inga our tour guide did an amazing job! She was very knowledgeable and shared some amazing stories during the tour. Arlington Cemetery, while hollowed ground, is rich in history and quite a mesmorizing experience. This tour is ~10K steps and 2-2.5 hours. Bring comfy walking shoes as you'll be walking up/down sloped roads and stairs.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our guide Greg sent us an email with his cell number in case we didn’t find him at the meeting point, which we did. He was there promptly and he was very professional and knowledgeable. He was friendly and respectful. The tour was long and we walked a lot at times a bit hard for folks like us who are simply a somewhat slow. No fault of the tour. However, ln the Viator website it should be noted that there are hills to climb a long path of steps to come down from Arlington House. We were privileged to see the changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier and the laying of two wreaths! Greg timed our arrival there at precisely the right time! We also saw a military burial with full honors which was very emotional. All in all a great experience.
Hannah was an exceptional guide knowledgeable, courteous, and able to respond to a wide variety of questions.
Alot of stairs. Our guide was very knowledgeable....................................................
Trevor was well versed in history of Arlington. He was patient and allowed us to ask questions or take photos. My family and I enjoyed the tour very much!
Very informative and fun guide! We really enjoyed our time during the tour! Gide took little walking breaks for group to catch breath and shared tidbits of information along the way!
Trevor was a wonderful knowledgeable tour guide. All of our group really enjoyed his tour. He was able to answer all the questions and we could hear him all through the tour.
Brooke did a phenomenal job explaining all of the intricacies of this National Treasure. Tour included Arlington House, General Lee’s home before the Civil War. Lots of history. Even found my uncle’s tomb
Great time walking through Arlington with our guide. He was very knowledgeable and kept a good pace but was not to fast for us. I would recommend this walking tour to anyone wanting to visit Arlington. He know were to go and knew about all of the areas we went. We got to see places because we were walking that a driven tour would not have seen, like where Lincoln's wife and 17 yr old son were buried. Also got to see where President Taft was in Arlington. Our guide also knew where to stand at the changing of the guards to see the inspection of the new guard and about the wreath presenting by students that happened right after the changing of the guards.
The guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He knew when and how to make the most of the experience. We are glad that we made the decision to use a service rather than try to do it on our own.
We took the 2 1/2 hour Arlington tour, our guide Ingeborg was a wealth of information. She shared many anecdotal stories that added more substance to the visit. We totally enjoyed listening to her, and we could tell that she enjoyed sharing her knowledge with us. We loved it. I’d give Ingeborg 5 stars!
We selected this tour based on its characterization as a leisurely experience. It is crucial that the tour description accurately reflects the physical demands, specifically indicating that it requires moderate to advanced mobility to maintain the pace of this brisk walking tour. The itinerary should explicitly state that it involves navigating hilly terrain and numerous steps/stairs. This tour may not be suitable for individuals over the age of 75 or those with mobility challenges. Our guide was targeting the Tomb/Guard Change for 11:00. We personally encountered difficulties at Arlington House due to the extensive number of stairs leading to the site. We waited behind for the tour to return. En route to The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier/Changing of the Guards, we experienced a delay due to a funeral ongoing funeral. Our guide did not wait, and we were directed to backtrack, only to encounter an elaborate ceremonial funeral featuring a horse-drawn carriage, military band, military honor guard, etc. and approximately 75 vehicles with the funeral. While we and others paused in respect, our guide continued with the group. We chose to stop and await for the procession's conclusion. Once the procession concluded, we rounded the corner to see our guide had cut through the grass (uneven ground) in middle of the cemetary section walking between headstones. Our guide was so far ahead we could not motion we were not following her. However, another person at the end of the group turned and we waved we were not cutting through. Being sacred ground, so disrespectful. By this time the first funeral was over and we made our way to the Tomb on our own. We were able to watch the 11:30 change, a special wreath ceremony and watch the noon change. The guide called during the ceremony and we did not answer in a quiet zone. She did not leave a message. My husband says he saw them come in a little late for the 11:30 change. We just left the cemetary after watching the ceremony's. We travel alot and book with Viator for most of our tours. This tour was a disappointment.
Very informative! A great tour!! The tour guide was very knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. He is highly recommended!
Excellent tour!! We learned so much from Colin our guide. He was very knowledgeable and had super interesting facts about the cemetery to point out. You do walk a lot but Colin took his time and kept the pace to our groups liking which was not too fast but a comfortable moderate pace which we older ones in the group appreciated. Wear comfortable shoes!! The cemetery was beautiful! More beautiful that I realized. And, we were so fortunate to not only witness the changing of the guard ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier but also a wreath presentation ceremony. This tour was probably the highlight of our week long DC trip or for sure in the top 3 things we did!! Thanks Colin! Great job!
We had a lovely tour with Inga(?) from DC on Foot tours. Communication, timeliness, knowledge and friendliness are important to us and this tour had it all! It’s a good walk, but Inga kept us entertained and in the shade as much as she could. We had a total of 9 ppl in our group. A perfect size. We would highly recommend this tour and this company!
Very nice and very knowledgeable guide, Trevor.
The tour guide Trevor was very thorough with explaining everything. It was not rushed and very enjoyable.
Colin was very pleasant, and really seemed to enjoy explaining everything. This was our first time to DC and the experience was amazing. We learned alot about the history from Colin, not just about Arlington but DC also.
Colin was outstanding and very knowledgeable about the cemetery. We enjoyed having him as our guide. Very accommodating of everyone’s needs and very engaging. Highly recommend.
Great background and relevant. She was very knowledgeable and pointed out great spots to see and take pictures
Great walking tour of the Arlington Cemetery. I'm in my 70's and loved our tour and guide. The guide assign to us was knowledgeable and engaging with us. The history of the guards and the protection of our national cemetery is something every American to see at least once in their life. Highly recommended.
This is a must!! Ingeborg was awesome and helped us understand the history at the cemetery. She stopped all the important graves and gave us the history. You need a tour guide and Ingeborg is the best.
I expected to have a small to medium group for our tour, but nope! It was just my friend and I and the tour guide, Kevin. He was amazing! He gave us a walking tour of Arlington National Cemetery. We were able to see the changing of the guard and TWO wreath laying ceremonies at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. As a military veteran, Taps ALWAYS gets me and this was no exception. I cried, UNASHAMEDLY mind you, at the first one. Keven took us up to Arlington House and was VERY knowledgeable about everything he talked about. The last stop is JFK’s grave site and that also was very moving. The whole place is very solemn. Kevin was a great tour guide and we really appreciated his diligence and attention to detail on everything.
It was amazing. Beautiful day and amazing tour with Trevor. Our family was glad to do this visit
Wesley was very knowledgeable about Arlington Cemetery. His directions to meet him were easy and straight forward. It was nice being in a small group of only 8 people. He was always welcoming any questions we had. He knew the best spot to view the Changing of the Guards for the Tomb if the Unknown Soldier. I would highly recommend this tour.
Good tour, hit the high points and provided history of the cemetery. Lots of walking and hills. If you are not active, you should pay for a tour via a cart. I’m sure we could have done this tour on our own, but it was nice to have a guide with us.
Trevor was an excellent guide. We thoroughly enjoyed the stories that he told and he shared many interesting facts.
Katherine was great. She was so knowledgeable, like she had been at Arlington since the Civil War. She was very funny and was so much fun. We had a great time and learned so much.
Our tour guide was very polite and personable. The walking tour itinerary was the main attraction for us and we were happy with its pacing. The problem we encountered was our guide’s military and historical knowledge regarding Arlington National Cemetery. It was vague and, at times, erroneous. Depth of knowledge in these areas is an obvious criteria for the job. Hopefully this tour company will do a better job of screening, training, or both. Until then, this guide needs to do some research and study to improve their knowledge. The families of those at rest in Arlington deserve the best effort of those representing snd honoring their sacrifice.
