Washington Plaza Hotel

Booked to stay for 3 nights and was a great choice. Rooms were spacious with huge comfy bed and great air con. All staff we spoke to and passed were extremely pleasant and chatty. Ice machine was a great touch, and we caught the last week or so of the pool being open which was a welcome break from the heat. The hotel is in a great location, 10mins walk if that to the metro station which serves the silver line to the airport, and other lines around the main sights in the city. There’s a CVS a few mins walk away, and felt extremely safe.

Spent 4 nights with the family. Kids loved the pool and I appreciated the fitness centre. Had just enough equipment to get in a good workout whilst on vacay. Service was excellent. Staff was always on hand to help and so friendly. The restaurant food was ok. And you had to pay to park at the hotel. Rooms were decent, not very modern but clean and comfortable. Overall it was a great stay.

Great hotel located in a fantastic part of the city. We were able to hit 14th St., walk to DuPont Circle, and access the Metro very easily. The pool was fabulous for spending the day tanning and having lunch at the hotel restaurant. I would recommend the Cobb salad. The gym was great and had various equipment available. I loved the hotel lobby, which was renovated and very spacious. The rooms were quiet and comfortable.

The staff are wonderful! You can get free bottled water called Nirvana & it’s a great brand! The location is great; a mile or less walk from almost all the major tourist spots, museums & great restaurants. The rooms are clean, but the queen balcony suite is a bit small. There were a few stains on the blankets, but the beds & pillows are comfy. The balcony view is awesome! However, I wish it was a little more secluded. The privacy wall doesn’t go all the way down to the ground, and can hear your neighbors quite easily on their balconies. Just a minor gripe. All around, it’s was very nice, and I would definitely stay here again.
