This was one of best hotel experiences I’ve had in DC. Staff was over the top helpful especially the desk staff and service team. Everyone jumped up to help whenever we had a question or just plain lost. Great location, easy access great lobby for just grabbing a drink. We had a busy weekend and no one seemed overwhelmed with the crowd. We will be back soon choose this Westin.

I stayed at this hotel as a solo traveler for my birthday. Overall, the hotel was easy to find, although the options for self-parking were not clearly marked. I chose to use the hotel’s valet service, but in hindsight, I would have parked at one of the nearby garages, as overnight parking was available for about half the price. The hotel lobby is very nice and features an impressive indoor atrium. I stayed on the fourth floor, and while the room itself was comfortable and well maintained, there was a noticeable lingering cigarette smell, as though someone had smoked in the room at some point in the past. That was somewhat off-putting. One recommendation: be sure to place the “Do Not Disturb” sign on your door if you do not want housekeeping knocking around 9:30 a.m. The hotel could also benefit from improved soundproofing, as I could clearly hear nearby room doors opening and closing throughout my stay. Aside from those issues, the room was nice and the location was convenient. Many of the major attractions along the National Mall are within a reasonable walking distance, which made exploring the area very easy.
I love the location and staff here! The staff were warm and friendly and the location of the hotel is top tier. In walking distance to restaurants, parks, coffee shops and attractions, museums and downtown DC! My complaint is with the room. There were spots that needed to be cleaned on the wall, tub had small black spots that looked like mold or chipped paint. Tub had a lot of hair from the previous guests. One of the wash clothes had small red dots entangled in the fabric. The detachable shower head could use some cleaning, hard water build up was present. The coffee station where the complimentary water was had so much dust that when I moved the water, dust flew everywhere. The sink area had chipped paint, and burn spots. The bed was soft and clean. The air conditioning was good! The lobby, was clean and smelled nice. The coffee spot in the lobby was cool. I will come back due to location and will ask for an upgraded room.
We stayed at The Westin Washington, D.C. City Center for two nights and had a great experience from start to finish. The service was top-notch, and the staff made the entire stay feel easy and welcoming. Our room was extremely spacious, clean, and comfortable, with thoughtful touches like chocolate and bottled water at check-in. The hotel also has great on-site food options, including Root & Vine Restaurant and Bar and the Market, which made grabbing a meal or drink incredibly convenient. The location is another major plus—central to everything and in a great area of D.C. Our room was cleaned daily, which was especially nice to come back to after a long day exploring the city. Overall, we had a smooth, frictionless stay, and a lot of the credit goes to the attentive and accommodating hotel staff.
Exceptional Service and a Perfect Room Rating: 4/5 Stars I recently spent a long weekend at the Westin Downtown DC, and it was an excellent experience overall. The absolute highlight of my stay was the front desk team. I was checked in by Ravi, who was incredibly professional and accommodating—he made the start of my trip seamless and welcoming. The Room: I was lucky enough to get a corner room, which I highly recommend. It offered a beautiful, serene view of the square and the nearby church. Despite being centrally located, it was a very quiet corner, which I truly appreciated for a restful night's sleep. Service & Housekeeping: The entire staff was professional, friendly, and went out of their way to help. After arriving exhausted and jet-lagged, I woke up at an odd hour and needed extra supplies. I ran into a member of the housekeeping team nearby; she was wonderful, quickly providing enough towels and toiletries to last the remainder of my three-day stay so I wouldn't be disturbed again. Amenities: The gym, while on the smaller side, was more than sufficient for a quick workout and was consistently kept very clean. Areas for Improvement: The only downside to my stay was a late-night visit to the bar. The service was just "so-so," and the food took quite a while to arrive. When it did, it was unfortunately lukewarm. Verdict: Despite the minor lapse in the bar service, the professionalism of the staff—especially Ravi—and the quality of the room made this a great stay. I would definitely return!
