Would not stay here again. First, I will acknowledge that the front desk staff was nice. The rooms are subpar and expensive simply because you're on the water. We got a suite and I was not impressed. The thermostat shuts on and off when you leave the room, at least that's what maintenance told me. That's not a big issue, except upon arrival our room was warm... because it's not winter, and when your thermostat shuts off continuously and cools at the lowest speed possible , it gets a little hot in the room. So we purchased two of our own fans, which made it better, but why am I DoorDashing fans to a hotel we paid good money for?! We didn't stay in our room the first night. We went to another hotel and only came back because we had a feeling we wouldn't be able to cancel our stay. Second, we had the strangest incident with the cleaning staff. Someone scanned into our room (without knocking) while we were still in bed in the morning. When we asked who was there, they proceeded to run down the hallway without apologizing or acknowledging that they should not have randomly entered our room. Lastly, we received our final bill... which again made no sense. We were charged for valet parking, and we did not have a car there, HA! We took rideshares our entire trip. We were also charged a fee to essentially get on a list to be potentially upgraded once we checked in. The issue with this is that we had already paid to be in a suite.

Outstanding hotel! My husband and I recently stayed here after we were stranded in DC (long story lol) after a July 4th celebration visit. We had no luggage or clothing packed, and it was 100 degree weather, so we were not feeling so great when we arrived. The concierge was so kind and helped us locate a place to buy some clean clothes nearby and offered us use of their "transfer room" until our rooms were ready. This was AMAZING! It was a place to get a shower, changed, and freshen up. It was so relieving and very much appreciated. The hotel overall was very clean and well designed. The food was fantastic, and the rooftop bar that overlooks the harbor a nice touch! I would highly recommend and will be back next time we stay in DC!
I echo Mariah Scott's previous review. The room condition remains exactly how she described during my stay on 7/28/2026. Everyone was friendly, but the stains, rusts, dusts, chipped paints, scratches, & other types of damages are everywhere throughout the room. I had to use my own sanitizing wipes to clean some of the stains on the chase, chair, and light switches. The stains do come off, which tells you that the cleaning staff just don't want/care to clean, and there are no standards and measures holding the cleaning & maintenance staff accountable. Definitely a three star hotel only when it comes to cleanliness. This is just how most Hilton hotels are like nowadays with the exception of Hilton Arlington Rosslyn The Key (now that hotel is immaculate). I only took one star off here, because the lobby area is nice and relaxing, the front desk people are friendly and professional, and the location is superb. Additionally, they also do offer free wine tasting in the restaurant bar area from 6-7 PM. Each guest gets two glasses, we are not supposed to switch from white to red, and vice versa. Personally, I don't like how their hand soap smelled. The body wash had water inside, again it just shows a lack of care and attention to details. There was a fly in the room... The flush was weak at least in my room, so I had to flush the toilet twice or three times... Special thanks to the front desk lady who was not on the clock but still took immediate action with our checkout today (7/29) instead of making us wait around for her colleague to finish with a small group of guests.
We stayed four nights over the July 4th weekend and had a corner room with two queen beds overlooking the Potomac River. The location is fantastic, and having a river view certainly made the stay more enjoyable. One of the more memorable parts of our trip was completely unexpected. We had gone to the National Mall for the 250th anniversary celebration but were evacuated due to severe weather. We returned to the hotel disappointed, only to end up watching the fireworks from our room overlooking the Potomac. Sometimes Plan B works out just fine. The service throughout our stay was pleasant, and the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. The shower was also very good, with excellent water pressure. The reason for the four-star rating is that the hotel and guest rooms are beginning to show their age. The air conditioning wasn't cooling the room properly—even with the thermostat set to 65 degrees, we were sweating at night. The towels were rough, the chaise lounge had noticeable stains, and the bed on one side felt worn. Even the bathroom amenities missed the mark, as both the body wash and hand soap were so diluted that they literally felt like water. Valet parking was definitely on the expensive side, although that's fairly standard for hotels in major cities these days. Overall, this is a hotel with a great location, friendly service, and beautiful river views. With some refreshing and a little more attention to the guest-room details, it could easily be a five-star experience.
Second time at this hotel. I really enjoy the location and overall the hotel is clean and well equipped. Unfortunately, the coffee maker in the room was not working. I did leave a note for them to check it. The restaurant in the hotel is unfortunately not up to par. One morning for breakfast, I joined my work colleague after she had ordered. Despite being at the table for at least a half hour, no one ever came by to take my order and I had to leave for my work meetings without eating. It is clear the restaurant is terribly understaffed.
