Excellent tour with an amazing guide. Marcin was very knowledgeable and always willing to answer any questions. The lunch stop on the way back was fantastic. We never felt rushed and really enjoyed our day!

I enjoyed a private tour with Marcin to Treblinka and he brought the experience to life. I learned a lot at this important moment and appreciated his knowledge of Poland overall. We finished with a great lunch and an easy drive back to my hotel. Marcin was timely and a great guide for me as a solo traveler.
Great driver/guide in Martin, he was very knowledgeable and friendly, making for a great experience. I would recommend.
Our private tour to Treblinka with Marcin was truly exceptional. He was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and deeply respectful, sharing the history with sensitivity and care. It was both an educational and moving experience, and Marcin’s guidance made it even more meaningful. I highly recommend this tour.
Today I had the most incredible private tour of Treblinka with Marcin. His knowledge of this particular subject ,along with his sensitivity ,made this more meaningful than I could have imagined .He was very easy and comfortable to talk to ,which was important since I was on this tour solo. The pick up was seamless at the hotel and the late lunch was delicious at a local restaurant .The pork schnitzel was a winner ! Thank you Marcin for an unforgettable day .I highly highly reccomend this tour and Marcin is a must !
My tour of Treblinka was very good and informative. As a Holocaust educator I was very impressed with my guide Marcin. His knowledge and compassion for the subject was excellent. I would highly recommend this tour and I would also recommend asking for Marcin as your guide.
What a day , we were collected at our hotel by Marcin, the drive was an education on history of Warsaw and we then we drove through dense woodland which we both knew camps were deeply hidden in. We arrived at Treblinka site , Marcin gave us so much information in a way we grasped the full scale of what had happened here, it was easily absorbed, the weather was very warm and tranquil we felt emotion for the loss of life here but we must never forget , we stopped for lunch for pierogi which was very good. We would most definitely recommend this trip with Marcin his passion and knowledge was outstanding. Huge thank you.
Great day out with Marcin, knowledgeable and friendly guide who could answer everything we were interested for the tour and more about polish history. Lovely lunch spot and good conversation. Would highly recommend.
Guide was very knowledgeable, on time pick up, very friendly, very sad place to visit but I would recommend going to bare witness to the atrocities. Price is worth it, approx 1½ hours from warsaw
A somber reminder of the need to embrace the dark history of humanity in order to move forward in love and compassion.
It is worth the time and effort to visit Treblinka, to pay respects to those who perished there. This trip was well organized, with a terrific guide, Marcin, who arrived on time and was a font of information on the ride to and from Treblinka, and during the tour of the site itself. Marcin is an historian by studies and can easily speak to a wide variety of subjects, connecting key pieces of information to the development, use and attempted destruction of the site. The day was very cold (13 degrees F), but the tour was not hurried, with ample time for individual space and reflection at the site. I would highly recommend this tour and this tour guide. Looking forward to having Marcin lead another tour for me in the future!
This was an amazing tour, and our tour guide, Marcin Hilgier, was superb. Marcin was extremely knowledgeable of Polish history and culture, not only answering our questions but engaging us in conversation on Polish life.He provided the historical context to Treblinka and shared his own reflections on the tragic narrative of this place. I did not know what to expect, and found the site very stark yet very moving - despite the German's effort to completely erase of the camp from history, it lives on. Marcin gave us ample opportunity to not only learn, but reflect on the importance of Treblinka not only to Poland, to to the world. I highly recommend both Treblinka and our tour guide, Marcin Hilgier.
Excellent experience, the guide was very good and had a lot of historical knowledge. The place is very moving and truly invites reflection on humanity.
This tour was incredibly meaningful. The tour guide, Marcin, was amazingly knowledgeable. He provided details about not only Treblinka but Poland more broadly. He also went above and beyond helping me search out specific areas of the camp and even visiting a local town where family members once lived. Highly recommend
Marcin was the most amazing tour guide. He’s a wealth of knowledge. On the drive up, he explained the history of Treblinka and what to expect. We asked a ton of questions. I would highly recommend this tour and if you are lucky enough to get Marcin, it’s an added bonus.
I feel a bit strange writing a review for visiting a place where hundreds of thousands of people lost their life. However, the visit to this sacred ground was made a whole lot more meaningful, thanks to my tour guide, Marcin. On the ride over he provided a ton of context not only about the camp, but about the surrounding area and the time. With which the events happened. At the camp he provided me an in-depth look through the objects in the museum and the grounds overall. He even went so far as to find one stone that I was looking for representing a community where my family lost people. After leaving the camp, Marcin, went above and beyond taking me out of the way to a small little town where my family was originally from. This enabled me to see where they're from and some of the monuments there to those who lost their lives. The whole experience was once in a lifetime and I'm so grateful to Marcin for being able to provide that for me
The tour was excellent, very well explained and accompanied. The guide's experience and seriousness in discussing complex topics were evident.
Our guide Marcin was great! He picked us up from our hotel and took us to the monument, providing us a detailed history of Operation Reinhart along the way. Once at the monument he showed us around the museum and prepared us for what we would be seeing. On our walk in he gave many interesting facts and details of what we were seeing, helping us to fully realize the scope of what had happened there. The cold weather and a large school group threw a couple challenges, but we were able to navigate all with his assistance. After the tour we enjoyed a delicious lunch in a small village and informative conversation on our trip back to Warsaw. I highly recommend this tour and experience!
Marcin was our tour guide and driver and he provided an excellent history on the way from Warsaw to Treblinka. He also accompanied us on the tour and provided extra details. Enjoyed talking to him about the history, his own family’s personal history, and modern day Polish life. Lunch was a hearty, authentic meal. Very clean restaurant. Worth the drive to Treblinka but be aware that it’s more of a memorial museum albeit still quite moving and informative.
Fantastic tour and knowledgable tour guide. Very patient and answered all our questions in detail. Would highly recommend booking.
We very much appreciated our private trip with Marcin. We were picked up on time from our hotel in a large SUV. He is very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions on the way there. When we arrived Marcin advised us to view the museum to get an idea of what the camp looked like and even arranged for us to see some films. He then walked with us to where the camp was and explained the layout before giving us some time to ourselves. We were the only ones there and the site of the camp is quite remote situated in a wooded clearing. He then took us to a local restaurant for lunch. I would definitely recommend this tour with Marcin.
It is trying at times but it is a magnificent effort the state is making to preserve the memories. Thank you.
This tour is an excellent way to see and understand Treblinka, while exploring the area outside of Warsaw. Martin was quite knowledgeable about the history of Treblinka, and personalized the tour for us. We also stopped at a restaurant on the way back and sampled traditional Polish food. It was a tasty way to end our tour. Thank you ,Martin for sharing the Warsaw area with us!
I heard of Treblinka about 60 years ago. For those interested in World War 2 it is well worth visiting the actual camp, though it was totally destroyed. It is also better to travel there with a guide than going alone. Marco is a great guide and we learnt a lot. He was a pleasure to be with and very patient with us. We were also very comfortable. I highly recommend this tour with no hesitation.
While there are no buildings left on the camp grounds of Treblinka, it is nevertheless a powerful symbolic reminder of the atrocities that took place there. We cannot recommend this tour enough. My daughter and I were lucky enough to be assigned Marcin as our guide and he made our experience very special and memorable. From the moment he picked us up, we knew we were going to be in the BEST hands. He is extremely kind and courteous and his intelligence and vast knowledge of the history of Treblinka and Poland in general was extremely impressive. We began the tour with a visit to the museum, where we watched a few short films giving us a first introduction to Treblinka’s history, and saw several artifacts that were excavated and preserved, such as victims’ belongings and actual tiles from the gas chambers, He then led us down the long cobblestone road to the actual grounds where an estimated 900,000 Jews were exterminated in just a year and a half. He gave us ample time to privately explore and reflect. It was a bittersweet emotional experience, but a very important one. On one hand, it felt eerie to be standing in what was once a death camp , but we also felt as though the victims could somehow feel our presence, love, and respect. Many butterflies randomly flew by, which we took ti be a sign that they knew we were there. After we left, Marcin treated us to a delicious lunch at a traditional Polish restaurant, where he taught us many things about the food and culture in Poland. We could not have asked for a better tour experience. This is definitely a must-do, and having Marcin lead us made it that much more special.
What a lovely day we had, despite the sad subject. We had a fantastic guide who gave us a lot of information and drove us from the meeting point (because our hotel wasn't in the pickup zone but this was a very easy way to solve it). A great experience where you get time to process everything at your own pace. Also a very nice lunch with a wonderfull view and an opportunity to taste local dishes. In short: we definitely recommand this! Thank you.
Really great tour. Marcin was a delightful guide and made the tour interesting and educational. Great trip overall that we would recommend highly.
This tour was personalized to what I was interested in and asked questions about. Marcin allowed me time to walk around the Treblinka site and think about what happened there. I would recommend this tour to anyone. Thank you!
The tour was amazing, so informative and good value. Included is entrance to the museum, viewing two monuments, lunch with drink and transport to and from hotel. Martin was exceptional, so knowledgeable about the camp and generally the history and politics of Poland. Highly reccommend - very impactful
This was an excellent tour. Martin was very knowledgeable and kind, we really appreciated his insight and thoroughness. We learned so much about this site and its terrible history, highly recommend to anyone seeking to know more about it.
We had a great tour with Marcin. He is extremely professional-personable and did a great job taking us and narrating the entire Treblina story. He was able to not only give us the story of the camp but share the history and background of what, why and how this happened. There were three of us on this tour and we all give Marcin high marks for explaining and showing us this very difficult moment in time.
Our trip from Warsaw was with Conrad who was very welcoming onto the tour, making the 80 minute journey fly by. He was very knowledgeable and took time to answer all our questions no matter how trivial. We were both glad we did the trip even though it showed a dark and sad time in Polands history. All in all an excellent trip with an excellent guide.highly recommended.
Conrad our excellent guide for the day gave us a fascinating insight into yet another dark corner of Polands history. Always engaging, answering all my questions and queries with his wealth of knowledge not only about Treblinka but the history of Poland in general. I’d highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Warsaw.
We had a great tour with Marcin. He was very professional and flexible, allowing us more time where needed. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions to a very high standard. Would recommend this tour!!
Excellent tour by Marcin! Very informative. Marcin gave the right amount of information, yet also gave us time to absorb what was said. Would highly recommend.
I went with family to this WWII memorial and we can confidently say that this is the best way to view this memorial. Konrad was a wonderful tour guide and really made the trip feel even more special.
My wife and I and our best friends just finished this tour with Marcin. We cannot offer a review that would truly be representative of how wonderful this tour was. We gave it a 5 star review, but would actually give it a 7 out of 5. Not only was Marcin extremely personable, making you immediately feel at ease, but his knowledge and perspective of history was without peer. Marcin has a worldview born of extensive historical study and travel. He not only was able to discuss the history of Poland, and his love for his country, but also the history of my own country that I would dare to suggest far surpasses the majority of my own fellow citizens. I could go on and on with superlatives regarding Marcin, but I will leave it with just this — if you are ever in Warsaw and are thinking of taking a tour, THIS is the one to take. Thank you Marcin for an unforgettable day!
Our tour of Treblinka with Marcin Hilgier was a highlight of our trip to Europe and something we won't soon forget. Marcin is a true pro - intelligent, thoughtful, courteous and extremely knowledgeable on all things Poland and Treblinka. Our family learned a lot from Marcin and appreciated our time with him especially as it relates to his perspective and understanding of the horrors and atrocities of Treblinka. We highly recommend this tour and Marcin. From the transportation and tour to the lunch on the way home and our conversations with Marcin, all aspects of this experience were top-notch.
Our guide Martin was extremely knowledgeable and good company! It was more than we expected in a good way!
An excellent tour with a very professional guide Marcin. Also all the small things that one might not notice when all goes well including on-time pick-up from the agreed place, good transportation, kind attitude and so on. We were given the chance to explore the Treblinka grounds also by ourselves in addition to good presentation and information from our guide. The tour included a lunch which was also a nice experience. Strong recommendation for this trip. Dziękuję Marcin.
Great trip with Marcin who was able to give us a private, informative tour of the sad history of Treblinka as well as provide some insight into Poland as a whole. Really good, leisurely tour.
Had a great time in a very somber place. Our guide was incredibly informative and was patient in terms of explanation. Lunch was great too.
Martin our guide was very knowledgeable and made our trip very interesting We were picked up promptly from our hotel Lunch was included and was in a very nice restaurant I would highly recommend this tour
Best Guide Ever! Marcin was my guide on the Treblinka trip. I learned so much on this trip, regarding information about the camp, Polish history in general and even some current events. The extent of his knowledge is amazing. Also he is just a nice person. I did not want the trip to end. I find myself viewing things with a different perspective. I wish I could take the trip over again but I have to go home. Thank you so much Marcin. The trip was unforgettable!
My husband and I so enjoyed our tour of Treblinka with our guide. Marcin Hilgier. He offered us a wealth of information regarding the history behind Treblinka, answered all our inquiries promptly and allowed us ample time to view all the structures. Went out of his way to stop and let us take some photos on the drive home and made excellent selections at the restaurant for lunch!
Marcin was an excellent tour guide. He was very professional and full of knowledge. We learnt so much on this tour thanks to Marcin.Highly recommended. This tour gave me and my family time to reflect and to be more educated on the horrors of the Treblinka death camp . 😢
Solemn day but well worth the trip to see and contemplate this site of such tragedy. Very knowledgeable and friendly guide.
This was a fascinating and informative trip. Marcin was not only a great source of information for the trip and Treblinka itself, but also a sharp, interesting and well-informed guy to talk with more generally about the Polish political and world context. We enjoyed his company and the trip immensely, albeit a tragic and heart-rending reminder of the inhumanities this country and its people faced.
Marcin was a great guide. He showed up on time and the trip went according to schedule. He took time to answer all our questions about Treblinka and Polish history. During lunch we also learned a lot about living in Poland and polish culture.
This was a powerful and moving experience for us. We have studied history, but to walk where thousands of human beings were senselessly murdered was surreal. Martin, our guide, was knowledgeable and answered our many questions. He was engaging and friendly. We enjoyed the drive, the tour of Treblinka and the authentic Polish lunch. He gave us great recommendations. The meeting point and drop off were easy to find.
