Could not rate more highly :) our guide Agata was phenomenal… gutted we had no cash to leave a tip, sorry! She completely personalised the tour around what we were hoping to see, communistic elements, as we did an old town tour yesterday. We saw things we would never have found on our own. The car was challenging but great fun to drive :) thank you again!
Agata was wonderful. So fun She makes the day incredibly fun. Loved the fiat
Jacob was a great guide, really friendly and great to chat with, it was amazing to drive to the old town and see so much. The history was really interesting and couldn’t have asked for a better tour!!!
Had such a fun and memorable experience with Fiat Self Drive in Warsaw! Driving through the city in a classic Fiat was already amazing, but what really made it stand out was our guide, Alec. He has a really original approach that makes the whole ride feel much more authentic and engaging. You can tell he genuinely cares about creating a unique experience rather than just a standard tour. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something different and enjoyable in Warsaw!
Fantastic experience. Perhaps the best one during my visit. Everything was great. The car, the driving experience and the places we visited in this amazing city. Jakub was fantastic. Very friendly, with a lot of knowledge and a very good way of explaining everything. Highly recommended
Our guide Jakub picked us up on time at the meeting point. It was only us but he still gave us the full tour. Even more than that because we got to see the old town of warsaw and Praga on the other side of the river. Now we know something about the medieval history of the city as well as the sowiet times. Driving the maluch was also not as scary as I had thought before, it was actually really fun and not complicated at all. It does not have power steering and you have to really push the break - you will know what you've been doing when you're done driving it. Everything is mechanical. While you're not driving you get a lot of useful and fascinating information about everything around you, also lots of information about architectural details. We learned very much today and it was a really unique experience.
Visiting my sister who's been living in Warsaw for 4+ years, and the fact we both were the only participants this day/event we agreed with our guide Yakub to visit the not so well known/visited/off the beaten track parts of Warsaw. Yakub proved to be very friendly, well spoken, and very informed and knowledgeable on Polish and Warsaw history and facts. Moreover, he is very caring about these topics, and well capable to express this involvement. Our experience with Yakub, learning about Poland, the Polish people and Warsaw was higly appreciated and most of the time an eye opener. But be aware, neither my sis or I are tall above average, so how appreciated this little monster was don't try it if you're over 180cm!
This experience was amazing!! Jakob was a great tour guide and showed us all the key spots in Warsaw. It was my first time driving a car like this but Jacob was there to direct the whole time. Would definitely recommend this experience!!
This was a fabulous tour! Our guide Jakub was excellent! Since we don't know how to drive a manual car, we requested that the guide be the driver, which worked very well for us - Jakub was a stellar driver and answered all of our many questions. The Toddler cars are incredibly cute! It was a bitterly cold February day in Warsaw on the morning of our tour, but we still had a wonderful time. We learned a lot about Polish history and culture and explored both the main tourist sites and sites off the beaten path on the other side of the river. At the end we had a taste of the cherry vodka. Would highly, highly recommend this unique way of seeing, experiencing, and learning about Warsaw!
We had a great morning driving around Warsaw with our tour guide Jurek. It was snowing and -11 degrees. Window down and rolling around.
It was such a nice experience, I highly recommend to everyone! Also self driving the car was super fun. I also learn so many things about Polish history even after visiting here for 2 times. Kuba and Jurek were such a friendly and nice guides as well. 😊
This tour had been a dream of my partners being able to drive a retro Fiat 126. From his dad owning one 30+ years ago when living in poland , its his favourite car and one that hold memories. So when finding this tour we knew we had to do it . The weather was not the best but with coats and a umbrella we took it like troops. It was just us on the tour with our lovely tour guide. Lovely , compassionate very chatty and helpful with information , sat in the car with us on the tour as it was only us taking part , made sure we were happy and comfortable all the way through, lots of information and sights we saw. Very very happy if I could rate higher than 5 stars I definitely would. Agata you were a brilliant tour guide of warsaw .
Very good guide, polite and informative, showed us a lot of interesting places, no rush or clock watching fun car to drive, fastest Fiat ever!
Booking was so easy, the team were very accommodating when we asked about changing time. We had 2 cars with 5 adults, our guide Jacob was amazing. Very knowledgeable, helped to take photos and so patient with us. Spole perfect english for us Irish men :-). Highly recommend him .
Awesome experience thanks to our knowledgeable guide Jacob. We had a blast driving the classic Fiat through Warsaw. I really recommend booking the morning slot because the traffic was perfect at 10am. There was also plenty of time outside of the car walking around the old city and visiting a beautiful park. Very pleasant 2,5 hours.
Awesome experience with our guide Jacob! The morning time slot was very pleasant, no traffic and plenty of time outside the car to listen to our experienced guide as we explored parts of Warsaw. It was a great time and we enjoyed every bit of it.
Very nice way for sightseeing, kind of time traveling. Karol was a very good guide! We warmly recommend the tour for people that like adventure!
It was such a fun tour. We were lucky to have Konrad as our guide because he is super knowledgeable and his English is perfect (for my Spanish boyfriend). And his black humour was very much appreciated by us aswell. We were able to decide what to see and it was amazing to have a mix of history, food culture, architecture, graffiti, and so much more in the mix. The weather was also great which was the cherry! Thanks so much, Konrad. If you can, ask for him!
The best tour i ever had in a foreign capital town. KONRAD was really polite and professional, he showed us many fascinating places in Warsaw and told us a lot about the socio-political reality of Warsaw in the communist times. Really the best tour guide I ever met. I already had a tour with him last year and this year I asked to have him as a guide again, but we explored a different part of town. There's always more to discover.
We returned to the Retro Fiat Self-Drive Tour in Warsaw for the second year in a row, and it was just as amazing! Our guide, once again, brought the city's rich history to life with incredible passion and knowledge. Truly an unforgettable experience—highly recommend for anyone visiting Warsaw!
My family and I visited Warsaw for the second time in 12 months and both times really enjoyed ourselves. So much to see and do. However, the highlight was driving a couple of retro Fiat cars around the city. When were booking and organising the tours Patrycja was so helpful, whilst Karol our guide was very knowledgeable and good company, not to mention an expert photographer! Also, actually being able to drive the iconic cars was such fun. The two and a half hour tour whizzed by yet we saw so much and learnt a lot about the history of the city. Definitely do another driving tour in the future.
It was my childhood dream to drive a Fiat 126p, so maybe my review not gonna be so objective 😄 Even though we were a bit late and stressed when we arrived, Karol helped us to calm down and showed us where can we store our bags. (In side the Palace of Culture and Science there is a Post office on the ground floor, right next to it you can find lockers.) Back to the tour: Karol showed both of us how to handle the car, and made sure that we can safely operate it in the traffic. He knows the little car well and could answer my super specific and freaky questions as well. Our guide was obviously really passionate about the city and its history, and didn’t felt like he just learned it from a textbook. The whole tour was more like a friendly conversation, where we got informations and background stories about what we were interested in. It was the highlight of our stay, I want to thank for the opportunity and the effort to preserve this iconic little cars, and especially for Karol that he made this tour unforgettable!
Karol was a great tour guide. First he made sure my husband can drive the Fiat properly. It's been awhile since he's driven a stick. And even then there are quirky things about the Fiat he is not familiar with. Then off we went. Good sites, historical backgrounds, safe routes and detailed information on buildings, parks and statues. This tour offers a unique perspective because you get to see Warsaw from a vehicle produced during Communist Warsaw. For most who could afford one, this was the car they drove. Thank you Karol.
We were greeted by a young polite man named Karol who let us drive through old parts of Warsaw and explained ditaily history of those places. He was also open for small talk and treated us well on the whole ride. The small Fiat 126p was in great condition and our tour guide explained well how to drive it. It's a nice way to see Warsaw and try a new thing for a good price. We would definitely do it again.
Had a blast driving around the city with Konrad as a guide, with a perfect mix of history and driving. He was also more than happy to adjust the tour to our needs.
Very nice experience. It was a lot of fun. Konrad the guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend it and a good way to see Warzaw.
Interesting tour through main landmarks of Warsaw behind the driving wheel of funny old Fiat Polski. Great host. Thanks Karol!
Karol was amazing. Great fun driving round the city. Even more so when you are 6ft 3! Would recommend to anyone visiting the city.
Just an excellent experience. The car was very fun to drive. Our guide Martin was patient, knowledgeable, and also had a great sense of humour. Got to see some very interests parts of the city that would be impossible on most tours. Would 100% do again if I was back in Warsaw.
Great experience. I’m a fairly big guy so was a bit worried getting in the car. Wasn’t sure I was getting in or putting it on. 😄 All was fine though. Our guide, Hannah was great. Very knowledgeable, personable and patient. Fun way to learn more about Warsaw. Great value for the cost.
Currently living in the states and visiting Poland on vacation. My parents used to have a Polish Fiat when they lived in Poland and it was an awesome experience being able to drive the same vehicle and also being able to take in some of the sites. Out tour guide was awesome, very informative and took into consideration things we were interest in. Would defintely take a tour with this group again!
AVOID!!! One car stalled in the middle of a busy intersection and wouldn't start. Had to go out in heavy traffic and push it to a side street. The guide tried for 10 minutes to get it to start again. Once he managed, we returned to the starting point of the tour and the guide promised us a refund. Once we got back his boss came, yelled and cursed at us telling us we couldn't drive them (the guide included). We didn't feel safe continuing and 1/3 of the tour time had already passed, so we wanted to cancel and get a refund. They changed their mind about the refund afterwards so no money returned. Besides that they initially changed the starting point of the tour without telling us, and required an additional 1000 PLN in deposit than what the confirmation mail says. Also, no seat belts.
First of all, big thumbs up to Patrycja from the WPT1313 office, who went out of her way to secure us a spot on the only day we were able to take the tour, although it was fully booked. Our guide, Marcin, was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. It genuinely felt like exploring the city with an old friend. Driving the tiny Fiat may seem a bit difficult at first, but once you get the hang of it you start wishing the tour were longer The shot of vodka at the end was a nice local touch. All in all, I can't recommend this highly enough as the most fun way to visit and learn things about Warsaw.
It was a unique and fun way to tour around Warsaw. I have been to Warsaw numerous times as my family is from here, but I brought my friend from the states, and it was an extraordinary way to kick off the trip in Warsaw and learn more about it and see some of the attractions/popular locations. Although I have already seen Warsaw, the experience of driving around in a little Fiat 126 was something cool/new to me that I really enjoyed, and I know my friend did as well. If you have a friend that is into cars and can drive manual, this would be perfect for a few hours around Warsaw. Marcin was a great guide and very easy going while also being very informative. Speaks great English!
What a great way to see Warsaw! Marcin was an amazing guide with interesting perspectives. He showed us the highlights AND some off the beaten path sights. The Fiat is tiny but fun. Be ready to drive a manual!
Marcin was our guide. He spoke great English and entertained us with facts and humour. Really recommend this experience.
Very good experience with great company, our guide (sadly forgot his name) was very talkative and very informative about the city. You could see how passionate he was in his work. We also had a trainee with us and she also did great, helping the guide wherever she could. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who loves exploring cities in Old cars!
We had a blast with Marcin, he knew everything there was about Warschau and it felt as if we saw every bit there was to see around the city! Highly recommended!
Had an awesome time exploring Warsaw on this tour! Great way to bop around the city, learn some history, and take in the views. The title is a bit misleading - these aren't really self-guided, more so private tours. For our booking we got a car and a guide who pointed us where to go as my wife drove us around. Note, the cars are old and a bit small - this means that you should ideally be comfortable driving manual, and not someone who describes yourself as "tall". I'm about 6'6" (1.98m) and I couldn't fit behind the steering wheel. If you can't fit or don't want to drive, I'm sure your guide would be willing to do so for your tour, but it's definitely fun to be able to drive as part of the experience.
My fiancé and I found this self-drive-tour on TripAdvisor about a month ago, and it is perfect for us. We'd never been to Warsaw, let alone Poland, so being able to drive through the city and through the traffic ourselves was absolutely perfect. We had a lovely, funny and a very engaging guide with us in the car. His name is Conrad/Konrad and he was very pleasant, and knew his way around the city - - and quite a history buff! He had some great jokes too! ;) We finished the tour with a shot of polish vodka (or was it vodka made in Poland) and smiles on our faces. We absolutely recommend both the tour and our guide!
An amazing experience. Our guide (Pawel?), was informative, funny, engaging. The cars are fun to drive. Learnt and saw so much of Warsaw I never would have had time to see on foot. Learnt so much about the history and culture. Great value for money and cannot recommend enough.
I want to thank Marcin for a tour that he gave me and my mom. Such a knowledgeable guide and just a nice person. I enjoyed the tour a lot and highly recommend you to book one for yourself. Also these vintage old fiats are just amazing.
Great experience with Mr. Marcin. Definitely worth the money :) Fascinating facts about Warsaw were given during the tour.
Fantastic experience! We've seen most of the old town so Martin took us off the beaten path in Praga. Great guide, lovely car, loads of interesting stories and laughs. Totally will be coming back this summer 💜
Would reccommend. We had this tour for only two people + guide. The guide was friendly, informative, professional. Driving the car is fun but may be a little harder if you’ve never driven an old car before :) Choose this activity if you’re spending only a few days in Warsaw because you will see the most popular objects and architecture.
Very friendly guide, cool guy who knew a lot about the city’s history. We had a very nice time, the tour is a must do if you visit Warsaw!
We booked this last minute after seeing the cars parked outside the Palace of Culture and Science. Adam, our guide was excellent. I don’t think there’s anything he doesn’t know about Warsaw. He was so enthusiastic, our tour even ran over by nearly 30 minutes! The only disappointment was that we were supposed to have some pictures sent to us but they didn’t take our email address. I think you do need to be a fairly confident driver as the cars are a bit different to modern cars. Definitely good value and a great laugh!
It was incredibly nice! We had so much fun with this car. Our guide was kind and calm even though we were almost half an hour late. In the beginning he showed us how the car works and after that I could take over and drive through the city. I can only recommend this trip.
Absolutely fantastic experience with a very knowledgeable guide (Pawel) who customised the route according to what we were interested in and wanted to see. The cars were a unique touch and highly recommend for this for those wanting to see Warsaw from a unique vantage point.
