We had a great time with Jakub. He gave us a very good tour, took his time, very detailed history, you definitely know he lived here whole his life. Good guy.

My guide Agata was friendly and chirpy. And she made riding in the Polish Fiat so fun and interesting She exhibited great knowledge of Warsaw’s sad, brutal and yet at times quirky Communist past, and highlighted many interesting details that a casual traveller would have absolutely missed Would highly recommend for anyone who has an interest in Cold War history
Excellent introduction to Warsaw and it’s not so distant history.
Jacob certainly knows his history. Took all the time needed to field questions and didn’t feel rushed. Made a complicated period of time easy to understand. The car got a lot of appreciative looks from the locals as well!
Fantastic. Car was awesome and Jacob was excellent. If you do this tour, you may want to ask for him. Very knowledgeable and interesting.
We had a fantastic experience with Marcin as our guide. The tour was the perfect mix of history, cultural insight, and just the right touch of intriguing stories and scandal that made everything come alive. He shared his knowledge in such an engaging and approachable way that we were hooked from start to finish. It never felt like a standard tour—it felt personal, thoughtful, and genuinely enjoyable. You can tell he is passionate about what he does, and it really makes a difference. We came away with a much deeper understanding. Highly recommended!
Anyone looking to see and hear more about the history of Warsaw will love this tour, hearing about how the Soviets ran Poland was very interesting and allowed us to learn about many other aspects of its history and architecture. Marcin was a chill hang and very happy to answer our questions. Would join one of his tours again any time!
Fun and informative! Our guide was an endless encyclopedia of knowledge about the times and the city!
Jacob our tour guide was excellent. Knowledgeable, friendly and answered a lot of questions. Highly recommended!
Agata was a wonderful tour guide, cheery, fun to be with, interesting and informative. She showed us the sites pertaining to the Communist era while explaining the history and context. It was a bit rainy so she had an umbrella and altered the tour to keep us all dry. Highly recommend.
Agata our tour guide was a delight, driving us around in the vintage fiat to the communist sites with good explanations along the way. Since it was a bit rainy, she had an umbrella and adjusted the tour to keep us dry.
Our guide spoke english fluently and had lots of knowledge to share. Plus for stories from his own family.
I would rate this 10 stars if I could! I booked the night prior and was confirmed in a timely manner. Agata showed up right on schedule and the tour was packed with incredible insight on architecture, monuments, and neighborhoods during communist era Warsaw. Agata also had so much insight as a local that I would have not received otherwise. It was an amazing way to spend the day and this tour has by far been my favorite experience while visiting Poland. Even if you are not interested in history, there was still so much to take in. I was short on time and this was the absolute best way to see everything!

Agata was a wonderful guide. Her knowledge of that era was in depth and relatable. She was very happy to take us to the sights we wanted to see instead of a pre-set itinerary. The Fiat ride was a blast from the past. Great fun. The tour was in English.
Alek has been a great guide, with a perfect command of English and an excellent level of knowledge about the city past and present. The experience of driving around the city in a Fiat 125p gives an immersive historic experience
Our guide Alek met us on time and was a great guide. Very passionate about the history of Poland and the politics that made it the country we see today. We learned much more than we would by just wandering through the town and had a laugh while doing so. Four adults in a 1980’s Fiat can be very cosy! Thanks Alek.
Fascinating tour of post-WWII Warsaw with a number of stops we would not have otherwise known about or had time to see. Max was extremely knowledgeable and answered our many questions with good humor. I might have preferred a more modern vehicle, but I get the retro car is part of the experience… highly recommend for anyone interested in the politics of the Soviet bloc and life under communism in Poland.
We had a very nice and knowledgeable guide, Jakub, who shared a lot of insights and made us aware of a lot of things we would have missed otherwise. A big thanks to him for taking us to places we would never have visited as simple tourists. Plus, riding in the old Polski Fiat was quite some experience. Good that Jakub is an experienced driver as well!
Durek was our guide for the day, he was always super gentle and friendly! And the most important part is that que was super informative and showed us everything we could possibly expect! Amazing guide would recommend him and the company 100%!
Learned a lot of history about Poland and WW2 including the social and political context of the last 70 years. Have been on many Europe private city tours and this ranks in my top 3.
I couldn’t rate this more. Jacob was an excellent guide and was very knowledgeable. 100% the best way to see Warsaw. The vodka at the end was also very tasty
Jurek was an outstanding guide! He gave us insightful and overall very helpful information on the city’s rich history!
Great experience, excellent service from Jurec! Really liked it! Really good knowledge and fun during the whole trip.
Very fun and interesting activity. Jurek was excellent at everything in providing information and being a great guide, very nice and pleasant tour.
Kuba was very insightful with the history of Warsaw. He took his time, and stopped by to get tea as it was very cold during our tour. He knew his cars limits and provided excellent guidance during our drive. Recommended highly!
A fabulous tour we learnt so much and was a great novelty being driven round in an old Fiat . Jacob was friendly, knowledgabke and very accommodating . Would definitely recommend this trip if you want to see and learn more about this fantastic city
An excellent tour Jacob was a brilliant tour guide. We visited most of the city he showed us the old the new the poor and the affluent areas . He explained the history of Poland and was able to answer all our questions. The tour is highly recommended and our tour guide was friendly and knowledgable . A great highlight in our visit xxx
Amazing experience! Everything was organised perfectly. Our tour guide Jurek was very knowledgeable and a great sense of humour. We’d definitely recommend this experience.
Very Informative and a bit of fun to be in a Polish made Fiat 125 " P". Also a good way to see different parts of the City
We had a great experience, would highly recommend. Jurek was very knowledgeable and friendly, told us so much about Warsaw history and driving in the retro car was awesome.
Our guide Alex was exceptionally knowledgeable about Poland’s communist past. He was passionate about the topic but also careful not to give a one sided view of Poland’s Soviet era. The various sites we visited were excellent examples of Soviet architecture. We loved our tour guide’s bright yellow 1970’s Fiat with armstrong steering. It captured the feel of the period we were examining. We were thoroughly pleased with our time with Alex. Four thumbs up! Ben and Sandra
Jacob was an amazing tour guide who not only answered all of my unorthodox questions but also went above and beyond by being flexible and adapting our tour to our specific interests! We also especially appreciated how he was willing to share with us his real thoughts about the historical decisions and the impact they still have today on the Warsaw citizens. Many tour guides try to maintain a status quo attitude and for a specialized tour like this, it is crucial that the guides themselves also have an opinion to share in order to facilitate meaningful discussion. We hope we didn't tire him out too much but seriously give my man a pay raise for how many tours he had to conduct on the same day, he was probably the most thorough I've had in all my travels throughout Europe yet!
The guide was excellent. Knowledgable and very kind, we learnt and saw even more than we had initially thought. Brilliant!
Great tour of Warsaw in a classic Fiat 125p! Mr. Kuba is a fantastic guide – he tells stories with great passion and in a very engaging way. Both we and our 6-year-old child, who accompanied us bravely, were delighted. Highly recommended!
This tour is extremely thorough and interesting. Our guide, Mark, was very knowledgeable and had superb English. He was very clear and was able to answer all our questions. That said, we didn’t need to ask many as he had a lot to tell us! Would recommend to anyone who has an interest in learning about the communist era and its architecture and even if this is not your bag, you will get to see a lot of Warsaw. The tour is a full 4 hours with some walking too. The trip was advertised as 3hours though on this site so be aware of this. Loved the vodka treat at the end.
Absolute MUST DO! This was one of the better tours I’ve ever taken. The idea is quite interesting, discussing the rise, ridiculousness, and fall of Communism with a number of places and things to reference and analog, against the backdrop of a thriving city. The comparison is striking. Maks made it come alive with his car, his knowledge, and what I suspect is some experience. His commentary and humor was instrumental in connecting the dots from place to place and time period to time period. Highly recommend!
Great trip in the Fiat! Had a very informative guide in Karol, who was not only knowledgeable of Warsaw's communist history, but also its general history and culture.
Our tour guide, Karol, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took us to see some lesser-known sites as well as showing us architectural samples of buildings representing the Communist era in Warsaw. Riding in the vintage Fiat was also fun. This tour was a great complement to a small Communist museum (not included in this tour, but highly recommended).
Konrad was extraordinarily knowledgeable about the subject. He had photos from the time period to enliven my understanding of Communist Warsaw. He took us around to new communist era neighborhoods and to Party HQ. Great lessons!
Max was great. He need to do a 6 hour tour. This was a ton of fun and educational. I would highly recommend if you are interested in the history
We had an amazing tour with Konrad. It was entertaining and enlightening. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about and appreciate historically the wonderful city they are visiting. We would repeat!
It was a wonderful afternoon with Maks, who gave us a history masterclass! Without a doubt, an activity highly recommended!
Great tour! Learned a lot about Poland. Tour guide was great! Saw a lot of different places. Thanks for the tour!
Loved this tour -- Marcin was an outstanding, knowledgeable, highly amusing guide who showed me a million aspects of Warsaw that were not obvious to my naked eye. I'm a history teacher / buff, and this fed my soul -- I've been home for a week, and this is the experience I keep coming back to as I share about what I saw/learned in Poland. Super fun to zip around in the vintage Fiat -- I recommend this tour heartily to anyone looking for a wise and witty lens into life under communism and a savvy take on contemporary politics and recent history. Loved it -- thank you, Marcin!!
This was an absolutely amazing tour! Marcin is knowledgeable, friendly and fun! The car is fantastic and learnt so much in a fun way! You’ve got to try this when in Warsaw!
Max was our Guide/Driver holds exceptional historical knowledge and has a strong command of the English language. Great tour.
Marcin our tour guide was awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The whole experience was great. Would definitely recommend!
Fun half day around the City. Konrad was quite knowledgeable on Cold War history! Saw several sights and learned new tid bits. Fiat was a fun vehicle for the tour.
My tour guide was Konrad, and he was amazing. I am very knowledgeable about Communism and post-Soviet countries, and Konrad and I could have a great detailed discussion about the topic. I really enjoyed my time and learning the Polish history. I absolutely recommend.
