This was a solid tour. The guide clearly knew the history and told it well, and he covered both the wartime story and what came after, which a lot of guides skip. The route was sensible, we saw essentially the whole ghetto area, stopped at some good murals, walked through the parks, and finished near the museum. Distance was reasonable, nothing felt padded. The one thing that kept it from five stars: he wouldn't answer questions when they were asked. The response was always "we'll come back to that later," and then a lot of it never got answered. I asked whether the ghetto was destroyed because of the ghetto uprising or the later Warsaw Uprising, and never got a straight answer. If something genuinely is coming up at the next stop, say that and then actually return to it. Otherwise just answer it in thirty seconds and move on. It got a little wordy near the end, but that's minor. Worth doing. Ask your questions twice if you have to.

There was very little to learn on this tour. The guide seemed nice and had a very wry sense of humor. Unfortunately there was little information. There are long walks between sites. If you walked next to him he would let you know about the area you were walking past. Since there was no microphone, and it was a large group, that was the only time to hear some facts. We actually learned more on a tour, half that time, about the jewish ghetto, and that tour was in the old town.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and presented the history in an interesting way. I’m glad I went with the tour because I doubt I would have been able to find any of the sites on my own.
This was an incredible tour, sobering but important and educational. Tomasz did an amazing job describing the Jewish life during and even after the War.
I think it was an advantage to have done the Walkative Tour of the Old City the day before and to have visited the Polin. Neither was a pre-requisite for this tour, but they helped my understanding of the situation of the Jewish people in Warsaw. Michael was an excellent guide, with just the right balance of historical context and the impact upon the Jewish people, without being overly emotional on such a sensitive subject. He showed us the photographic evidence of pre and post WW2, which in itself was powerful. Modern Warsaw is literally built on top of the remains of the original city, which has advantages for future planners. But walking within the Ghetto reminded us of what lay beneath the modern constructions. For me one of the "highlights" was standing where the tram bridge had been, that I'd seen so many times in documentaries.
I was very happy to be with Michal again for this activity. The same passion, up tears, very knowledgeable and very pleasant. It's a must do to gauge the monstruous history, since there's not much left to see.
Michal, with more than ten years of experience, is an exceptional guide. What becomes obvious is his depth of knowledge. Not just about the stops on the tour, but the history of Poland and how it all weaves together. When he spoke about the deportation of 200 children, you could feel his emotional response to the event. As if this was the first time he was delivering those words. I highly recommend the tour and, of course, Michal.
We attended the tour on July 10, 2026, and despite the challenging weather conditions (a downpour at the beginning of the tour followed by several periods of drizzle), Michael delivered a thoroughly engaging and informative tour of Warsaw's Jewish heritage. We had the opportunity to look at a functioning synagogue, hear several stories about the Warsaw Ghetto, as well as some historical life stories (those of Mordechaj Anielewicz and Marek Edelman). Michael also used historical photographs and maps, which helped participants gain a better understanding of the city's history. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and wish you many more satisfied participants in the future!
Michael was an excellent guide and incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Jewish Warsaw. He gave us a great deal of insight into a difficult part of our recent past and it was done with a great deal of respect.
Michael was fantastic! He was well prepared and shared compelling insights. He was mindful, considerate.
This is a really good tour provider. Michael was educational, like a friendly professor , and communicated the major touchstone facts while walking us through this important district. I'm doing educational travel tourism with WW2 focus, so getting into the heart and landscape of Warsaw Jewish ghetto is a very important component. I'm glad to see some of the things that previously I only saw in documentaries. Thanks Michael and this excellent tour group
Most informative and interesting tour of Warsaw’s Jewish town and its history. Our guide Jasec ensured that a very dark period in history was presented factually and with interest, without dwelling on garish details..
The huide was very professional, knowledgeable, attentive, interesting, his English was perfect . All in all. It was a great tour
Our guide, Michael, has an in depth knowledge of Jewish history in Warsaw. He shared so much information, in a clear and engaging manner, showing us sights we would have never seen had we not been on his tour. Walking through the old Jewish ghetto, listening to Michael as he took us through what life was like, tho harrowing, was incredible well presented. Highly recommend.
Amazing tour guide and experience. Learnt a lot about the city and its history.
I had the privilege of joining a Jewish Warsaw walking tour guided by Andrey, and I can confidently say it was one of the most meaningful and memorable travel experiences I have ever had. What immediately stood out about Andrey was the depth of his knowledge. He did not simply present historical facts — he brought the history of Jewish Warsaw to life with remarkable clarity, context, and humanity. Every street, monument, courtyard, and building carried a story, and Andrey connected them together in a way that made the city’s complex past feel deeply personal and unforgettable. His understanding of Jewish history, Polish history, World War II, the Warsaw Ghetto, and the cultural heritage of the Jewish community was truly exceptional. What made the experience even more special was the way he shared this knowledge. Andrey was incredibly kind, patient, and humble throughout the entire tour. Despite his expertise, he never spoke in a way that felt rehearsed or overly academic. Instead, he created an atmosphere where every question was welcome and every participant felt included. He had a rare ability to discuss difficult and emotional historical topics with both sensitivity and respect. You could immediately feel that Andrey genuinely cares about preserving and sharing the memory and history of Jewish Warsaw. His passion was authentic and deeply moving. Rather than rushing through locations, he gave each place the attention and reflection it deserved, allowing visitors to fully absorb the significance of what they were seeing. For future travelers visiting Warsaw, I cannot recommend Andrey highly enough. Whether you are deeply interested in history or simply curious to better understand the city and its past, this tour will leave a lasting impression on you. It is far more than a sightseeing experience — it is an educational, emotional, and profoundly human journey through one of the most important chapters of Warsaw’s history. If you have the opportunity to take a tour with Andrey, do not hesitate. His knowledge, humility, warmth, and storytelling ability make him an extraordinary guide and an unforgettable ambassador for Jewish Warsaw.
Excellent and informative. Our guide was also ebyrrogivrn the sobering subject matter of the tour.
We did the Jewish Warsaw Walking Tour and highly recommend it. Our guide, Jacek, was an absolute encyclopedia of knowledge — he knew the subject matter inside out and clearly has a real passion for the topic. The tour was incredibly informative, thoughtful, and engaging. Jacek brought the history to life with detailed explanations, personal insights, and a deep understanding of the historical events. This was one of the most meaningful experiences of our trip to Warsaw. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a deeper understanding of Jewish history in the city.
Our tour guide Olivia was punctual and knowledgeable. In fact we also did a walking tour of Warsaw old town through get your guide with her and it was a good experience. Though she can be a bit more pleasant and welcoming. That would make the tourists feel good and smile more . But overall a great experience with her on both the days .
Jack (his western name, as he stated!) has been an amazing tour guide! So energetic and full of info and fun facts that the almost 3 hours of tour flew in a blink of an eye! I highly recommend the tour and specifically the amazing tour guide!
The walking tour was an amazing experience, listening and trying to understand the history while we were passing by constructions, monuments and scenarios. I really recommend! It took 2h30, with no admission fee, with a group of 10-20 people. The tour guide is lovely!
Jack was enthusiastic, well paced , knowledgeable and had a great tour . He even ordered the sunshine 😜
I again went with the excellent Michal. He explained the history of the awful events of the Warsaw Ghetto with great insight, clarity and sensitivity. Thank you so much Michal.
I thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour. It went deep on the historical significance of different landmarks and handled the heavy topic with sensitivity and care. I like how this ended at the POLIN Jewish Museum so you could explore that afterwards.
Great guide today....able to ask lots of questions and get lots of interactions..good explanations of tough subjects...guide more than happy to run the full 2.5 h+ to show us everything and leave us at POLIN museum...perfect
Tour was led by a very informative guide with a very detailed knowledge of the history of the walk. He happily answered questions and was easy to listen to.
Knowledgeable guide who brought a sense of humor to the experience. It was a cold day but I stayed for every word.
Thank you for the guide. We visited the streets where the Ghetto of Warszawa was situated. These are very sad pages of history that we must always to remember.
Michael was a great tour guide! Was super informative, friendly and energetic, despite the -10°c temperatures. We ended up having a private tour due to the other people not showing up. This made the experience even more enjoyable and allowed us to truly get as much info out of Michael as we could! Would highly recommend
The guide spoke at length, but the tour lacked clarity and direction. It often felt unclear why we were in certain places or what we were meant to take from them. If much of the original site no longer exists, that should have been clearly explained, along with what once stood there. The focus was heavily on dry facts, with very little attention to the human suffering behind the history. Without that emotional context, the experience felt flat.
Great experience! Even tho it was Cold, we could really enjoy our tour! Jaczic (probably misspelled) was great and his passion guided us through the winter!
I did a walking tour with Michael of the Jewish ghetto. He was great. Highly knowledgeable and fluent in English I recommend him highly.
We enjoyed our tour with Michael. This very difficult history was presented with sensitivity. You won’t go wrong with this tour.
Excellent tour with great insights into both past & present Jewish life. Fun & engaging, it brought out things you’d not see on your own. Finished at the Jewish history museum which was excellent as well.
Excellent, friendly, funny guide (“Jack”) - a real wealth of knowledge! Tour was about 2.5 hours and finished at the POLIN Museum, which was a great way to round out the afternoon. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Excellent tour with an engaging, professional friendly guide. The ghetto was mostly destroyed but he was able to tells its story with respect and compassion
Although the guide shared historical information about the Warsaw ghetto he never explained why we were walking where we were walking and as such I was quite confused the entire time. If it’s the case that the entire ghetto burned down so there isn’t much left to see that’s understandable, but that should be stated and I would have appreciated if the guide shared what used to be in certain places. Also, the stories that were shared were very factual and seemed stripped of the hardship and humanity (or lack thereof) in that period. Humanizing what was being shared would have gone a long way.
Michal gave a lovely and informative tour of the Jewish ghetto in Warsaw. You get a comprehensive overview of the layout and life of the ghetto, and what now stands on those grounds. Definitely recommend.
Very informative tour delivered expertly by the guide. Tour ends at POLIN museum which is worth visiting as well. Definitely a must
We took the Warsaw Jewish tour with Michal. Was excellent. Strongly recommended. The free tour was well designed and Michal made it interesting
very informative, i really enjoyed the tour. I totally recommend the tour, especially for those who like to walk and discover a hidden history of Jewish Warsaw.
This tour is conducted very well: thoroughly and with care. Very informative stops on the tour, packed with so much history yet explained in an appropriate, digestible manner. Images on an iPad accompanied the tour to help visualise certain points of Warsaw. Questions welcomed by the tour guide, who spoke well and was friendly and approachable. This is a must-do in Warsaw.
We had a very good guide here (unfortunately forgotten his name). Taking us around the historical sites of Warsaw that related to the oppression of Polish Jews in the twentieth century, this tour offered fascinating insights and non-well-known facts and experiences of Jewish people during the Second World War. This was our introductory tour of Warsaw and I’d highly recommend as a good starting point to unravel the history of World War 2 in Warsaw.
Violetta gave us a fantastic tour in Spanish (her Spanish is perfect). She is very knowledgeable and professional. She is a Warsaw native and speaks very passionately about her city, She gave us a lot of good tips on where to eat as well. We highly recommend her.
Our tour guide, Olivia, was knowledgeable and informative. She spoke faultless English and answered all questions thoroughly. We learned so much about the Warsaw Ghetto on this tour. I highly recommend this tour.
Anya was an excellent guide. She was well informed and entertaining too. The tour was very interesting and the 2.5 hours and 3 miles walked went fast. Highly recommend this tour.
Olivia was an amazing guide! She really knew her history and answered so many questions. Could really tell she is passionate about the topic. I do wish we would have seen more sites/monuments.
Great background knowledge of the Jewish history in Warsaw. The guide was very knowledgeable and also had a wonderful dry sense of humor
Experienced guide Open to questions had a sense of humor I would recommend this company and their employees
Our guide Andrej (big guy, beard) was a great guide! Personally I loved his way of storytelling. The history he needs to deliver to the group is horrible, so one needs to cope with this, so Andrej tries to make the stories more digestible using a bit of sarcasm about the bad guys. Would definitely recommend!
