Gdansk is beautiful. It’s a must see in Poland. The tour turned out to be seamless with our efficient driver Jek. However, the experience that happened the night before our trip was the deal breaker. I received a call from the tour operator AB Poland the nighf before saying that we need to pay additional 44 euros per pax or 132 euros for 3 people despite the almost 1k USD already paid because our tour will be private as they did not get additional peple to join. We feel hostaged as we booked this months in advance and being asked to pay more 1 day prior is unprofessional. It is like being upgraded to business class but paying for the fare difference which was beyond our control. Despite our complaint to Viator, we were still made to pay for the difference. Very disappointing. Go to Gdansk but not with this operator.

The castle was huge and in great condition for touring! It will feel like you step back into medieval times. Gdansk was more beautiful than Copenhagen. So much history to learn about and wonderful stores and restaurants. It is a must see city in Poland. So beautiful. Our guide Wojtek made the trip so special. He is incredibly knowledgeable, and he answered all our questions and made our tour so much fun. He also has a Volvo S80 (for home village tours), S90 and a Mercedes V-class for touring. We did not do a home tour, but if you want him to research your heritage he goes above and beyond to learn about your family members who used to live in Poland- he even walks around the small towns your family member lived in, knocking on doors and talking to local townspeople to get more information about your loved ones.
A very long day. The castle was very worth the visit. The meeting point afterwards was confusing. Lunch at a milk bar was fun. Gdansk not worth the trip- very crowded, and no audio supplementation so unless I was walking right next to the guide I couldn’t hear anything. No real time for any sites. Didn’t even get a glimpse of the Baltic.
Castle was well done with audio tape but tiring. Gdansk is pretty city that sells a lot of amber. Driver was very good and answered all of our questions.
Wotjek was our guide for a 10 hour day, from Warsaw to Gdansk with a side trip to the fortress at Malbork. All of the trip was informative and entertaining. Wotjek was very knowledgeable, sociable, a great conversationalist and never in a hurry, allowing us enough time to see and learn all we wanted. The day went by very quickly as we were always engaged and talking. We were very fortunate to have him as a guide and I would strongly recommend him.
Our driver Sébastien was great getting us there and back safely. Malbork was interesting and lots of stairs to climb. Michael our tour guide in Gdansk was great and gave us a wonderful history of the city.
To be honest, I almost did not do this tour because of the cost. However *I am so glad I did* as it turned out to be one of the highlights of my 2-weeks in Poland! I signed up for a daytrip and got a master class in Polish history. As informative as Voitec was, he was also very friendly and easy to understand and talk to. Malbork Castle and Gdansk are must sees for any visit to Poland. The only downside, it is a very long drive from Warsaw to Gdansk and makes for a long day-- but it is definitely 100% worth it.
We had a great trip to the city of Gdańsk and nearby Malbork Castle, an amazing large brick structure full of history. It took a little over three hours driving each way, but the driver made the trip very pleasant, who took care of every details, from stops for coffee to tickets for castle. We are also grateful to the Gdańsk tour guide who’s very friendly and knowledgeable of the city, and the driver who accommodated our extra needs, such as a different pickup location and a suburban monument to visit. It’s highly recommended if you need a one-day tour of Gdańsk from Warsaw.
Great day trip from Warsaw. Thanks to Jesper from AB Poland Travel for setting everything up for us. Getting to see Malbork Castle (the largest castle in the world) was quite the sight! Following that with a traditional Polish lunch and tour of Gdansk was for sure a trip highlight. We hope to make it back to Gdansk one day to spend even more time.
The private tour was excellent. Jacek our drinker and guide for the day was very nice and made and accommodated our requests. Our guide in Gdansk, Mickey was fantastic. Ver knowledgeable and made sure we maximized our time. Marlbork is a must see. So much history.
Quick booking . Driver is on time. Can speak very good English very clear in communicating. It was great tour. Very interesting and guides are very knowledgeable. Happy to do it again.
I really enjoyed traveling through the Polish countryside and the Marlboro Castle was amazing - huge!
It was a very good trip for us, the driver pick us up on time and very friendly. On the way to Malbork there are beautiful scenery. Malbork is the best architectural treasures of historical.
It was a 14 hour day but one very well spent. Robert, our driver, picked us up on time and had a full size van for us since we were 4 adults. He was able to stop along the way for a break and got us to malbork castle. He got our headsets and explained how to use them then gave us plenty of time to explore. We met him back at the van and he took us for a very delicious and filling lunch. After that, we drove an hour to Gdańsk where we met Michael, our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the extensive history of the town and spent about 90 min with us. We met Robert back at the van and he was able to drop us off where we wanted back in Warsaw. Overall, we had a fantastic experience.
Gdansk beautiful Stay at Fahrenheit hotel which was a gem Wonderful city, romantic scenery , sopot also should be visited
Destinations were excellent, the driver/guide, Robert, was terrible. No flexibility, communication or local information. We wanted to drive by the Baltic Sea and the shipyards, however, because of Robert's inflexibility we were not allowed to do this. We paid for a private tour and ended up with a third person. The third person did not cause any problems, the negative issues were a result of Robert's attitude. We would like a full refund.
Malbork self guided audio tour, which I liked so we could tour at own pace. Gdansk was beautiful and Michael added many colorful details. Przemek was, our driver was very kind and thoughtful. Stopped whenever we needed a break. Always on time
We took the day trip which was long but worthwhile. This is definitely one of the best castles I have seen, and I have seen many, as it was very different from the others. Gdansk was much more interesting and prettier than I expected. Our tour guide lives on the main street and had a complete knowledge of the city and its history. He was terrific! I highly recommend this tour.
Our driver Robert was great. During our drive he provided insights about the culture of Poland and more. Malbork was state of art using headset/GPS to guide you without trying to listen within a group. Wonderful! Gdansk and our guide Joanna brought to life this seaport city. As I stood on the bridge my mind wondered to Venice as this city has many of the characteristics save the gondolas. Both of these locations are must visit when in Poland.
The city was interesting and the visit to Malbork Castle was excellent. The driver was excellent. The tour guide we had in Gdansk was knowledgeable and was able to provide considerable historic perspective, but his glaring prejudices against Jews and Turks and racism made the entire tour uncomfortable. Disappointed that we were not able to drive to shipyards where revolution began, but political parades on election day precluded it.
I Stood in Gdynia which is about 30 minutes away by train. So decided to hop on one and travel south. Stopping at Gdansk was a stop well worth it. Walking around and seeing many old buildings, shops and eateries, there was always something to do. Long Street had many restaurants to choose from. Gdsank is a must stop by city!
A great tour. The drive from Warsaw and back was long but worth it. The Malbork Castle was huge & all-brick. Our driver ROBERT was the best in bringing us there & back safely. Our tour guide in Gdansk was EVA and aside from that she is beautiful, she was also knowledgeable, understanding, considerate, & accomodating. She was perfect. We enjoyed it very much. Thanks a million!

This trip is not to be missed. It's a 4-hour drive from Warsaw but well worth it. Our driver, Pawel, was friendly and accomdating. Our guide in Gdansk was 92 year-old Stefan who regaled us with wonderful stories about this magical city.
