We really enjoyed having Marcin as our guide and wish we could always book him for all our trips in the future. His depth of knowledge and pleasant personality were greatly enjoyed by us. He went above and beyond what you would expect from your ideal guide.

This tour is a must for those who are making a pilgrimage to see Fryderyk Chopin's beloved Poland where he was born and baptized, the same church where his parents were wed. We had a private and intimate tour of the hollowed grounds with Marcin who was extremely knowledgeable and professional not only with Chopin's history but that of Poland. We left the tour more than thoroughly informed but more than that inspired.
We are a family of 3 and we were lucky to be able to join this tour on the third day of our visit in Warsaw! Kuba, our tour guide and driver, is very experienced about Chopin and is able to provide us with new insights and interesting facts about the pianist composer! He also recommended us many places where we could go in Warsaw to find out more about Chopin - we did follow his advice and got even better understanding of Chopin! I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in the composer and I trust there will be new things to be discovered during the tour!
We are a family of 3 taken care by Kuba, the wonderful driver and guide for the tour. He has excellent knowledge about Chopin and his life and I learnt many interesting new things during the tour. My family enjoyed the tour so much! I highly recommend this tour to people who are curious about Chopin!
OMG. This was one of the absolute top tours we have ever taken. Marcin was so knowledgeable and clear in his explanations. He pointed out so much detail as we drove. The Chopin tour was dear to my heart and he sensed that it was important to take the time to listen to the recital as well as taking us to the church of the Holy Cross to see where Chopin’s heart was entombed. Marcin was the most personable guide we have had and one day we would like to return to Warsaw to have him as a guide for the Wolf’s Lair and other significant WW2 sites. His command of English and knowledge of Americana details made the trip so memorable. ALWAYS ask for Marcin. He is the BEST!!!!
Excellent tour, Agata our guide is very knowledgeable and kind, she speaks very well English. We enjoyed and knew a lot of the Poland history
We had a great tour! Kuba was punctual, enthusiastic, pleasant and very knowledgeable about Chopin’s life, work and also Polish history in general. Highly recommended.
An essential visit for all Chopin lovers, and the guide, Marcin, was also very helpful in explaining many things about the area, and Poland in general. The shop contains rare books on Chopin, and some rare scores, unfortunately most books were in Polish, but I found a couple in English. The countryside was beautiful, covered in snow. The garden lovely and suggestive with its frozen river.
We did not receive the vodka toast but did not ask about it either. Our guide, Martin, was really personable and answered our many questions. The museum itself is not huge but we were able to enjoy a concert and view the countryside.
It was perfect. Marcin was quite possibly the best guide I've ever had. He is a wealth of knowledge not just about Chopin but about so much European history. His personality was ideal as well. We got along so well and it was a great day.
The Driver/Guide, Martin, was most informative about both Zelazowa wola and Brochow. He was extremely helpful. I really enjoyed the tour.
Spent 1/2 day with Karol touring Chopin’s birthplace and baptismal church. Would have loved to spend some time in the church but it was locked up. If you are a classical music lover highly recommend this tour.
We were picked up at our hotel by Marcin and went on the most incredible tour to Frédéric Chopin birthplace in Zelazowa-Wola. On our way he stopped at the bakery and bought us delicious polish donuts. Marcin was informative, funny and very knowledgeable about Chopin and history. At the house we were treated to a 20 minute outdoor performance by a young pianist. After viewing the house and garden, we drove to the church where Chopin was baptized. I strongly recommend this tour, it was amazing 🇵🇱👍.
Konrad was very knowledgeable about the history and was a great tour guide. He also gave great recommendations of things to do in Warsaw. Great tour!
This was an excellent experience. Marcin was a fantastic guide! He was really very knowledgeable in the history of Poland, which provided a great deal of context regarding Chopin’s life. This tour wasn’t just a glimpse into the great Polish composer’s life, but also a glimpse into Poland as a country. I truly enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend it. Thank you Marcin Hilgier and Viator!
Had a great time. Saw the country side and visited the birth place and church. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided great information.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip with Conrad. Having a local guide is a great way to learn about a city. Not not did we learn about Chopin, we learned about the the countryside on our way. We learned more about the challenges Poland has faced. He answered all our questions and told us about conflicting viewpoints regarding events in Chopin’s life.
Favorite part was talking with Marcin about the history of his country, Poland, and his knowledge about many countries in our world. Very engaging. He gave this tour for just the two of us, and we had lots of time to tour the grounds and house, then to see the church where Chopin was baptized.
I really enjoyed the tour and getting to talk with my guide about not only Chopin but also the country of Poland, and its history and language. My guide was very knowledgeable and informative and answered all of my questions. I felt safe and comfortable as a solo female traveller which is important to me and there was enough time to see everything and take it all in. I recommend this to other traveller's with an interest in Chopin and his beginnings, worth the money
The guide Hilgier was awesome. He knew a Lot of stuff and was very kind and helpful. He even got us tickets for a concert in the city. The only thing that could be improved was the fact, that it felt a bit rushed.
A memorable tour to Fryderyk Chopin's roots, on a sunny day in August. Our tour guide and driver was Martin, who did a great job all the way. He was also highly enjoyable company on the ride from and back to Warsaw, sharing many interesting details about Poland and its people. Arriving in Żelazowa Wola, after a comfortable 45-minute drive from Warsaw, we started off in the museum with a movie about Chopin’s life. Subsequently followed by a stroll through the beautiful surrounding park. We made a brief stop outside Chopin’s place of birth, the manor house, where a wonderful piano concert was taking place. Soon we were transported to the village of Brochów, to visit the church where Chopin was baptised. Coming back to the park, limited time was left for the manor house interior and its exhibited artifacts. All in all a great experience, though the available time to spend in the park and inside the manor house is too short. Perhaps the 30-minute movie in the museum could be optional. With that leaving more time for the park and manor house - and for that shot of Polish vodka that now fell in between ;-)
Martin was an excellent tour guide providing a rich and deep, and entertaining commentary. We did the Chopin gardens and museum and house. But the tour to the forest and the ethnographic village was a great contrast to the city. Serene, but also good to understand the disparity in circumstances between the regional and city lives. Martin was very open to exploring and matching the experience with our interests. And the lunch was wonderful in a tiny village restaurant with excellent local food.
Excellent guide Olga, knowledgable, but also great to talk to! From pick up to drop off she was very professional and she is also multilingual. She also pointed out some further places to visit. The tour was just as described. Warmly recommended!
Quite a nice tour, excellent driver/guide Rafal, nice, comfortable vehicle, wecarrived at the house before large groups. Visit to nearby church was also ery nice.
I thought this was just about the best tour I have ever been on! Martin did an amazing job of talking to us during the whole trip about many aspects of Poland beyond the Chopin story itself. I really appreciated the insight into Poland’s history and conflicts and people and life-style! I learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed the day.
we had a great experience on the private tour. our tour guide was very friendly, accommodating, and informative.. about Chopin and the city of Warsaw.
Super wycieczka! Z humorem, z ciekawostkami! Bardzo polecam Pan prowadzący Tomasz Bareja świetnie prowadzi wycieczkę, kierowca Tadeusz powozi bezpiecznie zabytkowym jelczem
Świetny pomysł na zwiedzanie Warszawy w kameralnym gronie (4 osoby, fiat 125 p). Super organizacja, przygotowanie i wiedza przewodnika (Pan Rafał). Polecamy każdemu!
Good trip, very pleasant guide and knowledgeable, beautiful new private car, in short a beautiful excursion with a beautiful ark around the birthplace of Chopin and in the annex a beautiful film and exhibition of busts of Chopin.
