Amazing experience from start to finish. The organizers are very efficient and nice, they offered a car ride since no trains were available. The driver was also very nice and offered excellent service, picked us up from our apartment and dropped us off (which was a 3hr journey each way) he also led us to our tour guide in Auschwitz which made everything seamless and very simple. Overall an excellent experience, our tour guide in Auschwitz was very well spoken, knowledgeable and easy to understand. Thank you for your service.

You will see the Main Market Square in Krakow, the biggest Medieval old town square in Europe. In the Old Town you can also find the Wawel Hill – with the Cathedral and the Royal Castle (until 1611 Wawel was the formal seat of Polish monarchy – it was the place of royal coronations ), Town Hall Tower, St. Mary’s Basilica, Krakow Barbican and Sukiennice (Cloth Hall), thousands of bars and delightful regional restaurants, many historic buildings and horse-driven cabs.
The concentration camp in Auschwitz was established by German Nazis on the outskirts of the town Oswiecim in 1940. After the war, the camp was turned into museum displaying evidence of the genocide. Block no. 11, known as the Death Block, was where people were murdered also at the “Wall of Death”. Outside the camp, there is a gas chamber, where 70,000 people were killed in 1940-1943. In 1941, 3 kilometres from Oswiecim, in the former village of Brzezinka, the German Nazis established a new camp called Auschwitz II Birkenau. In 1942-1945, approx. 1.5 million people lived and died here. Most of them (90%) were Jews, others were Poles, Gypsies, Russians and prisoners from 28 countries of Europe, people of all nationalities and political and religious persuasions. Since 1944, transports of prisoners from all over the continent entered directly through the “Gate of Death”. In 1979, Auschwitz – Birkenau Concentration Camp was listed a UNESCO World Culture and National Heritage Site.

It’s a long and very emotional day because of the very serious subject matter. But definitely worth the trip. Being there in person, walking the same path and seeing the rooms where the victims of the Holocaust were tortured and systematically murdered was a life changing experience. It is nothing like watching a movie. It changes you! The tour was exceptionally well organized and the staff was great, friendly and helpful.
Very well organised and the driver and guide were excellent. Even though our return train from Krakow to Warsaw was delayed for more than an hour our tour representative waited to collect us at the train station to return us to our hotel. Cannot thank the tour company and their people enough for a very good service. The tour of the camps was excellent.
This was a long day tour but it goes by fast. I learned a lot about this time in Poland history. The tour company made sure we were taken care of from start to finish.
Very helpful to have the pre bought entrance. Helpful, to have the guidance with the train transfer.
This tour is a must if you are spending time in Warsaw. Every aspect of the day was well-executed from the early morning pick-up to being met on the station platform on our return to Warsaw and transfered home. Our guide for Auschvitz and Birkenau was the best. She was extremely informative and did an excellent job in setting the context around these tragic sites. The tour operator kept us well-informed on all aspects of the tour including the opportunity to take later/earlier trains. Krakow is delightful and having some time to explore the old city before heading back to Warsaw was an added bonus.
This tour was great! As a solo traveller it was extremely well organized, I was comfortable the entire time. Communication was stellar. Pick ups and drop offs were seamless. I only had one day to sightsee around work, and am so glad that I chose this!
Extremely poor service standard and unacceptably rude. I booked the day tour via AB Everest travel and was initially hopeful of a great tour ahead. However I was extremely disappointed. I had booked, paid for and received confirmation for the Auschwitz tour via train from Warsaw. The tour was booked for the 23rd of September. On the 21st, I received an email and then a what’s app message from Ola (AB Everest travel) asking me if I could do the tour on the 22nd or 24th. I advised as I was only staying in Poland for one day that the 23rd was the only day I could complete the tour. This was responded with “OK thanks :)” Once on the flight, I received another message that the tour on the 23rd would not go ahead. More information would be available at 1530 on the 22nd. At 1530 I had not heard anything, so I called Ola and was told that there would be no tour, even though I had booked, paid for and received confirmation of the tour. From that point on there was no understanding of the customers circumstances, a very rude attitude and tone and complete lack of understanding regarding the service industry. I was advised that the Auschwitz tour would not go ahead as students / people from Israel had priority over “normal tourists” and that there was no more tickets available, even though it was booked, paid for and I had received confirmation. Ola was very rude throughout this process. Lacked any empathy or understanding of my circumstances. She didn’t seem to understand any aspect of the service industry. Ola begrudgingly offered another tour to Majdanek( after I complained) in place of the Auschwitz tour. I reluctantly agreed and Ola advised this would be arranged and she would send the details within 15 minutes. I waited and then I received an email from my bank stating that the original tour payment 388 USD had been refunded by AB Everest. I was hoping that this was a good will gesture and that the Majdanek tour would be free of charge due to the poor service regarding the original Auschwitz tour. I called Ola, as she had not made contact and asked her what was going on. She simply stated very rudely and impolitely that there were no more tickets available and hung up. Ola and AB Everest travel were extremely rude and have no understanding of the service industry. Ola was disrespectful, inconsiderate, vulgar and completely disagreeable. Absolutely disgraceful performance from Ola and AB Everest travel. Ola was particularly unpleasant throughout.
Auschwitz-Birkenau is absolutely worth visiting, but the transportation arrangements made this experience unnecessarily frustrating. We started our day at 5:00 AM and walked approximately 8–10 miles, yet our return train from Krakow was scheduled for 8:22 PM even though the tour ended around 6:00 PM. There was no guided tour in Krakow, and we were disappointed that the train tickets were not flexible for such a long day trip. When we asked to change to an earlier train, we were quoted an extremely high additional fare, so we had no choice but to purchase new tickets at $42 per person. We were also told by the local Viator operator that the original tickets were non-refundable. However, the Krakow Railway Station ticket office told us the tickets were refundable to the operator. We paid $82 for two new tickets and received no refund. The Auschwitz-Birkenau visit itself was worthwhile, but the poor transportation planning, lack of flexibility, and unclear refund information were very disappointing.
Such a moving and incredible experience. The tour guide was knowledgeable and very respectful. Dawid, our driver, was very friendly, polite, and patient. We highly recommend.
This was an excellent, well-organized tour. I was picked up at my hotel and taken to Warsaw Central Station for the train to Krakow. Clear written and verbal instructions ensured I understood the day’s itinerary. In Krakow, we began with the Birkenau camp museum, where our knowledgeable English-speaking guide explained the exhibits and shared insights from survivors she had interviewed during her studies. We then continued to Auschwitz, where she provided another thorough account of the atrocities committed there. Afterward, we returned to the station with ample time to explore Krakow before our train, allowing me to shop and photograph this beautiful city. Overall, it was a very worthwhile experience. My only constructive suggestion is to present all upgrade options at the time of booking. The day before the tour, I learned about premium high-speed train service and alternative travel schedules between Warsaw and Krakow. Although I appreciated these options and chose to upgrade, I would have preferred to make those arrangements in advance rather than while already traveling in Poland. Offering these choices from the outset would make the experience even more seamless. Aside from this, the tour was excellent, and I highly recommend it.
The tour was nothing less than outstanding. Which notable due to the logistics. We were staying in Warsaw and the tour provider picked us up in the morning, took us to the train station and walked us to the train to make sure we got on the right one. They provided an envelope with return tickets and instructions where to go to meet the tour bus in Krakow. Our guide for the tour was highly knowledgeable. They have a pool of guides they use at Auschwitz so you will not know who the guide is until you get there. But I suspect they are all just as good. Our return train tickets did not get us back until midnight. The tour provider met us as we got off the train and drove us to the hotel. A long day but an outstanding tour.
This is not an adventure, it is a journey to honor the humans that were treated so horribly. This experience has helped us realize the devastation to the human race. You should experience this. All of the details were taken care of exceptionally, never a doubt that we were in the correct place
The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and she was a trooper to walk, talk and smile in the mix of a horrible and humid day. The taxi driver they got last minute was great but he could not speak English, we were cramped in a sedan for the entire tour, lunch was missing and the people I share the Taxi from from Krakow to the concentration camp was different by 100 Euros, the driver was good but almost 4 hours in the back of a sedan was too much. The initial driver had an inconvenient event and I was waiting for 40 minute to get someone, I have to call twice and despite the fact I was 20 minutes early, nobody apologize. Highlight was the young guy picking me up from the hotel a 6:10m he walked with me to the Centralia Warsaw station and explained everything to me and ensured I was on the right train to Krakow, he was a sweetheart, he was also waiting for me when I arrived at 11:10 PM and drove me to my hotel. Also please ensure you check you Viator text messages as they start communication the afternoon before, but I did not get any email notification and I was answering late.
This was one of the best day trips we’ve ever taken and an experience we’ll never forget. Everything was well organized, transportation was comfortable, and the schedule was executed flawlessly. We began the day in Kraków, which is an absolutely beautiful city filled with history, stunning architecture, and vibrant culture. We had enough free time to walk through the Old Town, enjoy a delicious meal, and soak in the atmosphere. I only wish we had more time because Kraków is a destination that deserves a visit of its own. From there, we traveled to Auschwitz-Birkenau. It was an incredibly moving and sobering experience—one that everyone should witness at least once. Walking through the grounds and learning about the events that took place there is something that will stay with us forever. Our guide was outstanding: knowledgeable, respectful, and compassionate, presenting the history with the dignity it deserves. A huge thank you to our driver and tour guide for making such a long day comfortable, informative, and seamless. Their professionalism and organization were exceptional from start to finish. If you’re visiting Poland and only have time for one day trip, this is the one to book. It’s a long day, but every moment is worth it.
What a great experience! I think that everyone must come once in life just for a reminder of history! We are very lucky because our guide Alexander, he has very deep knowing about the place and he can give it to you easy.
Very well organised, really informative, a long day as others have said but well worth it. Highly recommend.
Great an Amazing experience from the start to finish. I even made a life time friend with Stanislaw B. - This is a Must do if you have a full day. You will learn lots about history and how the Jews and many other people got mistreated-imprisoned-tortured-killed-gassed killed. I highly recommend this tour and this company.
Great trip. Great value. Prepare for lots of travelling
Best tour , very informative. Truly recommend, very organized excellent communication provided all the info for the trip never left us alone one minute OD reassure himself we understood everything and went thru our packet info and walked us through it and helped us get to the train.Among arrival we were picked up by Matheo amazing driver excellent service very informative from pick up in Krakow to drop off . Recommend it 100 percent . Thank you making our experience real and amazing !! Till next time.
Great tour with a lot of information. The guide went into a good amount of detail in a respectful way.
This tour was exceptionally well organized and made it possible to visit two of Poland’s most important destinations in a single day without having to plan the complicated logistics myself. Every aspect of the journey—from the train tickets and transfers to the local transportation and timing—was handled seamlessly. The visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum was an incredibly moving and sobering experience. Walking through the preserved barracks, railway tracks, and memorials serves as a powerful reminder of one of history’s darkest chapters. Our guide presented the history with professionalism, respect, and compassion, helping visitors understand not only the historical facts but also the human stories behind them. It is an experience that every person should undertake at least once in their lifetime. Afterward, we continued to Kraków, one of Europe’s most beautiful and historically rich cities. Although our time there was limited, we were able to explore the magnificent Market Square, admire the city’s stunning medieval architecture, and experience the unique atmosphere that makes Kraków one of Poland’s most beloved destinations. Considering the distance from Warsaw, I was impressed by how smoothly the day unfolded. The schedule was ambitious but never felt chaotic, and the tour coordinators communicated clearly throughout the trip. This is a long day with a lot of travel, but if your time in Poland is limited and you want to experience both Auschwitz-Birkenau and Kraków, I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. It combines impeccable organization with an experience that is educational, deeply moving, and truly unforgettable.

What an amazing experience. No issues getting picked up at our hotel and getting to the train station. Once we were at the train station someone picked us up to take us to Auschwitz. They already had our tickets and the guide was waiting for us. The process was very smooth our guide Barbara was very informative and highly recommended!
Know that the experience may be difficult due to the nature of the subject matter. Since you visit sites that deserve respect, I would not recommend bringing children who would not understand the significance. On logistical notes, you will need to be able to find your correct meeting points, minor navigation is required. I recommend bringing an umbrella or rain poncho.
Tour included hotel pick up, train to Krakow, round trip to Auschwitz and Birkenau, then train back to Warsaw. Well worth the cost. Wear comfortable shoes, lots of walking but well worth it. Mia the English speaking tour guide was excellent. Dawid our driver was good, a little aggressive but got us there in time.
Transportation was efficient and timely. Our tour-guide was knowledgeable and had good English communication skills.
There was last minute changes to the tour we originally booked. The operator timely informed me of the change and found an alternative solution which worked better than the original plan. The driver was punctual, professional and very cordial.
The excursion starts with an early morning pick up to the train with the guide putting you on the right train. Upon exiting the train, you are met with a second guide that’s drives you to Auschwitz museum. A third guide gives the tour. Long day! The only problem with the tour is the train without guidance. You are set to guess when to get off the train as all the announcements are in Polish.
Good overall. Return- did not have guidance on train and got on wrong train otherwise great tour Would recommend
It was well organised. This tour requires a lot of walking and Eugene was good and informative presenter. I think toliet breaks could be longer than 10 minutes. No time to eat or have a snack so eat something before going on the mini bus. When in old town krakow you have to follow directions to train station by map they give you which can be tricky for some people who are not regular travellers.
This is a very full day. We opted to pay the extra 200 zloty each to get the express trains which do not stop between Warsaw and Krakow. We were picked up at 6 am and got into Warsaw from the 8pm train just before 11pm. We had time in Krakow to have something to eat after our train trip before the 90min drive to Auschwitz. The tour itself was extremely rushed. No time to read the signs and being a public holiday we had huge crowds there. Our guide spoke far too softly to hear and you spent half the time trying to see where your group was so you didn’t get lost. The tour of the camp is extensive with a lot of walking so don’t go if you’re not able to be on your feet for 90mins at a time. There are stairs and uneven surfaces. You get a 15min break after tour 1 so bring your lunch or a snack to have before the short transfer to Birkenau camp for tour 2. This is more of an outside tour and took about 1hr. You then go back to Krakow by car and have a couple of hours there to wander the old city and eat or have a drink. Our train back to Warsaw left at 8.05pm. I’d recommend having a phone to use the maps app so you can get to the pick up and departure points easily. The tour is excellent and Krakow a wonderful and picturesque city to visit. Loved it. You just need more time to read the signs at Auschwitz so it’s not so rushed.
Early start 04:45, hotel pick up transfer to the station all worked well, driver explained everything in detail. Coach transfer and pick up to and from Auschwitz also worked well, a very long day but worth the visit and trains clean and comfortable. Just a few niggles; the mini bus transfer was very small, not a lot of room so somebody really tall might struggle and one set of seats was in the recline position apparently broken so if the minibus was full this would not be very nice for somebody sitting there. Also, we bought this tour in good faith as 3 hrs in Auschwitz and 3 hrs in Krakow; but NO !! all we got in Krakow was 1hr 15 minutes as had to return to the train station to come back. Rather missold on timings so was a little disappointed. Apart from that, the day was brilliant and would definitely recommend.
After teaching a unit on the Holocaust for the last 30 years with my 8th grade students, I am glad that I finally made a trip to see Auschwitz and learn more about its history. It was both a harrowing and fascinating tour. We spent two hours being guided through the camp at Auschwitz I, and then another hour at Auschwitz II/Birkenau. Our guide (I am sorry I didn’t get her name) was exceptional. Her knowledge of the camps was second to none and she explained everything with a great deal of compassion and empathy. At times, her narration was so strong that she made us feel the pain of what people went through in the camps. I applaud her immensely. The driver who picked us up from where we were staying and delivering us to the Warsaw Central train station, and then picking us up at the end of the tour was also very friendly and prompt. The only drawback of the tour was the local driver who took us from the Krakow train station to Auschwitz and back. While asked more than twice by people in his bus to turn on the air conditioner as it was very hot inside the vehicle, he ignored those requests. Moreover, he adamantly refused to drive one couple back to their hotel, the same hotel from which he picked them up in the morning. He made them get out of the bus at Kraków’s Old Town and find their own way back to their hotel. I am certain that this couple did not receive all that they paid for. Despite that, it was an informative and worthwhile trip to a place that is so very much a part of our world history.
Experience is great start to finish. Very goo communication throughout? The entire experience was amazing.
This tour was worth the cost. A driver picked us up from the Airbnb and took us to the train station in Warsaw where we met with other people from the tour. The company put us on the correct train. The tour of Auschwitz took about 3 hours. A bag lunch was offered. I personally did not need to purchase it. We had 30 minutes to visit the museum restaurant before our tour started. I do not know if that was the case for other groups. After the Auschwitz tour, we had 4 hours to look around Krakow. Once we returned to Warsaw, someone from the tour company met us on the platform and took us outside to the parking lot. We were then assigned a driver to take us home. Everything was organized with easy instructions to follow.
I highly recommend this tour. Everything is exceptionally well organized—from the hotel pickup to the train departure, and even the thoughtfully prepared paper bag lunch. It’s a full-day excursion, but visiting the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum is a deeply moving and important experience that is absolutely worth it.
Instructions were clear. Travelled in March 2026 and had clear pickup from home, drop off and pickup from train station was easy. Tour was informative. Adam was a great driver. Susana was an excellent guide.
Absolutely a must see. Although visiting Auschwitz is very emotional, it is essential that people visit so that history will not repeat itself. Our guide picked us up on time at our hotel and then at the end of the day at the train station. We had a seamless experience and the guide was so helpful about helping us get a backpack back that was left in Krakow. Highly recommend this tour!
What should other travelers know: if they offer you the earlier more premium train back for 100 then please know it’s cash only! We did not know that until we were at the station in the morning. Another thing to note is that the operator sent messages to everyone but us offering a brown bag lunch for sale. Not offered to us, so we had nothing to eat for lunch. Next and this is not the operators fault but the day felt very rushed. The driver from Krakow to Auschwitz barely spoke and when he did it was very low and fast we had to ask him to slow down and repeat himself every time. The tour guide inside Auschwitz was new and not very experienced with the microphone so it was difficult to hear him most of the time - also this is not the operators fault but the operator I think could have requested a more experienced guide. The driver who took us to the Warsaw station in the morning and picked us up in the evening was very nice and punctual and gave us very thorough and detailed information about the train there and return trip. I was disappointed that there was t any commentary from the driver about what we passed on the drive from krakow to Auschwitz.
The trip to Auschwitz was OUTSTANDING! The company had all travel and tours coordinated perfectly. The tour guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and on top of all the details to ensure a great experience. The trip to Auschwitz makes for a long day but worth every minute. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 👊🇮🇩🇮🇱🇺🇸
This a very well organised trip. A very long day but faultless. Communication before the trip - amazing. Taxi to and from the initial train station- excellent. They waited til the train left and there to greet at the platform on the return! The minibus driver and tour of Autschwitz - excellent. Not lots of time in Krakow but enough to see a few sites and grab a meal. Highly recommend this trip.
So happy we took this tour. It is so sad but it should be seen. Travel to and from was very easy from Warsaw. And our guide was waiting for us at the assembly point. We really enjoyed our free time in Krakow.
Very on time your . Good organized, knowledgeable tour guide . I believe this is one place where everybody must visit.
What an amazing experience! Well planned and great communication throughout the whole experience. Highly recommend it. Kudos to the drivers and tour guides especially! Thank you
I booked this trip more than a month ago planning to see krakow and Auschwitz with my daughter coming from Texas. The night before our trip, I received a phone call from chase customer service trip that this company was trying to reach me. When I contacted them, they offered me a different trip and it is another concentration camp in Lublin. They mentioned it is more expensive but it is not what I booked for. Their reason being was there’s no ticket available for Auschwitz anymore when I have booked this trip a long time ago.
They should know how well organize and informative was.. The visit to Auschwitz was charged with emotions and was an eye opener
Very, very poor experience. Feeling like the quality of Victor tours is slipping, as it’s our 2nd in two weeks (two different countries) that were kess than adequate. We waited 20 minutes for 3 people who weren’t responsible enough to show up slightly early or for that matter ON TIME!! Too bad for adults that book and can’t make it on time. Why are 30 other people forced to wait for them - unacceptable! Then our driver drove out (apparently in the wrong direction) for a good 10-15 minutes in traffic, then got a phone call and proceeded to turn the bus and return in the same direction we had just come from that took another 10-15 minutes to get back on track. This of course made us late for the tour. It was extremely rushed and chaotic. Then to top it off, our guide (who was very knowledgeable) was having Mic 🎤 issues but annoyed at the group of us that couldn’t hear but every other word. He kept sending everyone for new headsets and was visibly irritated with those that spoke up. He then realized 20 minutes into the tour that it was HIS mic that was cutting out. We missed everything said those first 20 minutes and were so rushed that we couldn’t even stop to read the historic signs telling us about the camp because he kept forcing us ahead and to stay together because we were super on time. So disappointed. Many to all of your customers are probably in that country or location once in their life, and to have these tours not operate well is so upsetting!!!!
Kris, the one who picked us up early from the hotel was very pleasant and nice. He made sure we boarded the right train. When we arrived in Krakow, the meeting place to Auschwitz was easy to find. Our tour guide to Auschwitz-Birkenau, Milek (don't know the spelling of his name) was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Though, the line to enter the Auschwitz museum was quite long and they don't have an organized system. Our driver was quite busy with her phone the whole time and doesn't seem to interact with us. Overall, we enjoyed the tour.
Communication was great. Started several days before re: uncertainty in ability to get museum tickets (all worked out - did get tickets) to sharing train options, to reminders and clear details on return trip … made me much more at ease with going solo. Tour guide was fantastic - so knowledgeable. Be aware that it gets dark early in November so might finish the tour with limited light. I took the premium train there - standard on the way back. Not much of a difference.
