Ben Batalla Astounding Austin, Texas Pianist by Rose Di Grazia The Chopin & Jazz concert featuring the pianist Ben Batalla, was held at the Draylen Mason Music Studio. The studio is part of the KMFA classical music station of Austin, Texas. I was thrilled to attend the piano concert this past October. Having lived in the Big Apple myself, I was intrigued by Ben Batalla when I read he had the pleasure of playing at Carnegie Hall. Not only did he play there but he also played in Europe. It's no wonder either after hearing him play the way he does. When you think of Ben all you can say is Wow, and he's amazing!! It was as if Frederic Chopin had been reincarnated on this very Sunday afternoon. Chopin being one of my favorite composers is why I had to see Ben play. He is a classically trained pianist and has been playing since the time he was a child. I was in awe, listening to him play Improvisation No.1 Polonaise- Fantaise A-Flat Major, Op. 61 (1845-1846). Listening to him play one Chopin piece after another it took me back to my 25 years of ballet classes from childhood up into my college days. It was hard to listen and not want to get up and practice my demi-pliés and grand-pliés. His piano playing was simply astounding. It was hard to believe he might only be in his early 30's the way he played. If I closed my eyes I might envision a much older man playing due to his talent. Many of the pieces that he played were dedicated to some of his family members. I myself and the audience were in a trance. It was as if we all went back in time to the early 1800's. I can only hope and dream that maybe one day I might be able to play that well. But that is only a big dream for a woman of my age now. At least I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with a brilliant pianist named Ben. After the concert a lovely reception for all was laid out. We got to mingle with the pianist and some of his family members. What a heavenly concert and experience for one and all. I must say, I am looking forward to any upcoming performances he has in store for us all in the coming year. All I can say is bravo, bravo!

Beautiful music in an intimate venue. It is a very long room, so if you are seated in the back you don't see much of the player. I recommend arriving early to get a seat at the front (unlike us!) Also, the venue should consider having a minimum age to attend. There were a few young children who were disruptive at our show as well as one a friend attended a different night.
Piano skill was good! Very confusing to locate the place as there are several within 100 meters. Saw the tour guy led the group running late! Be early
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Evening with Chopin If you have the chance to attend a Chopin concert performed by Ewa Beata Ossowska, do not hesitate, just go. The setting was a charming boutique venue that felt tailor-made for this kind of experience. With only 15 to 20 guests in attendance, the intimacy was unlike anything you’d find in a traditional concert hall. There were no barriers between the audience and the music — just you, the piano, and an extraordinarily gifted artist. Ossowska’s playing is technically masterful, but what truly sets her apart is the emotional depth she brings to every piece. Chopin’s music can feel delicate in less capable hands, but she commands it with both precision and feeling, drawing you into each composition as if hearing it for the very first time. The combination of her artistry and the intimate atmosphere created something genuinely rare, a performance that felt personal. This is the kind of concert experience that reminds you why live music exists. I left feeling moved, grateful, and already hoping to return. Highly, highly recommended.
A sweet evening experience in Old Town!
We went to watch Maricio Silva perform Chopin. He is a fantastic pianist. Very professional! He clearly has a background of very good training coupled with his natural talent. Highly recommend this concert.
Very nice experience with our children. Impressive
An intimate concert with a skilled pianist. The music was inspirational. I would give it a five if it had been exactly as described. There were more than 10 in the audience. There were no drinks at intermission as promised and no chandeliers as described. Small details, but as a first time user of Viator it will leave me to question their reliability
Wonderful concert by a great pianist. Chopin is my favourite composer and the repertoire was varied with a few pieces I didn't know. Beautifully performed by Mauricio Silva.
The part of the concert we managed to make it to was fabulous. The setting, the pianist, the location (Old Town Warsaw) was excellent. However, and here's the 'But' . . . please add a highly visible note on the tour link that states a vehicle (Uber, taxi, etc.) cannot drop you at the church. They drop you outside the square and you have to walk about 10 minutes or more because the location is some kind of secret, I guess. Add to that, our Uber driver didn't speak a word of English, just kicked us out at the square, babbled something in Polish and left. We had to ask several people on the street to point us in the right direction. We did finally make it about 5 minutes late, but it was worth it.
The music evening was very nice. The pianist was talented and the venue was great. I highly recommend it
Tourist scam ! We went to see ewa beata ossowska and we were very disapointed. We felt like she wasn't mastering what she was playing ... Maybe due to the stress, but there were a lot of wrong notes (mistakes / changed deliberately), also the technique was not what you expect from a professionnal concert, everything was inacurate. We couldn't enjoy Chopin's music in these conditions. If you want to listen to well played Chopin's music I recommend you to go somewhere else.
Ewa Beata is a wonderful pianist, and her evocative and skillful playing was a delight. I strongly recommend this recital.
A very pleasant / restful experience and worth the money, especially if you DON’T have an idiot continually whispering to his girlfriend sitting behind you. Nothing stops such morons, but perhaps an announcement at the start might have shamed him into considerate behaviour. Also bear in mind that unless you’re sitting in the front two rows you’ll be hard-pressed to actually SEE the pianist playing.
I did know much about Chopin. So before the concert I spent a few hours I learning about him and his music at the Chopin Museum. This concert was amazing ending to that experience. The pianist made the pieces come alive. I even knew a few from listening to many pierces at the museum earlier in the day. What a wonderful experience in such an intimate setting.
My first piano experience was really good @Choplin Concerts.. The artist was quite skilled in her domain and took us through a good appropriately timed performance..
wonderful experience for a first timer or a classical music fan, the setting was very intimate and comfortable, and maria is an excellent emotive pianist. one hour with a short break was a Perfect length, all the staff were very friendly and maria even signed programmes at the end! very reasonably priced too, and very easy to find!
This was planned as the start of our last evening in Warsaw and the intimacy of the venue really made this concert outstanding and the evening one to remember. The soloist, performed Chopin with power and emotion. during an hour long performance with a 5 minute break half way through. I highly recommend these concerts.
nice experience, professional pianist. It wasn’t boring neither for kids, nor for parents. I recommend!
1ST TIMMERS Intimate setting with a great performance excellent value for money too almost a hour not to long not too short Mamiko Ueyama played so beautiful afterward she signed your program.
The concert was a delightful way to begin an evening in Warsaw. The piano was played with skill feeling and a passion for Chopin's music. The concert lasted for one hour in the centre of the Old Town
It was beautiful and very exciting to attend this wonderful concert, to be able to sign the program and take a picture was the icing on the cake
The concert was at the Chopin Museum, which is wonderful. Who played was a young pianist, very award-winning, very good. I recommend a visit to the Museum combined with the concert
The first time to travel to Warsaw, watch online reviews must listen to a concert in Warsaw, we randomly choose the nearest venue, the pianists play great, the choice of songs is also close to the crowd that do not understand classical music, very touching.
Concerto pianoforte. Pezzi di Chopin . Esecuzione bellissima ambiente accogliente e curato . Lo consiglio
Nice concert with a varied program. Applied interpreter though a bit brutal and expeditious. Very small room of about twenty people in a museum so quite intimate. Just the chairs squeak so a little annoying if you have neighbors groping.
Separate city where one is proud and one also treats his city properly. You won't find any garbage on the street or strange behavior. Hard work is being done to bring the city back to how it was before the occupation by Russians. With this rebuild they have a nice balance between old and new construction. Truly a city that is well worth a visit.
Piękny koncert, Chopin w Warszawie we wspaniałym wykonaniu. Słyszałem każdy dźwięk i jednocześnie byłem w środku utworu. Tegop nie ma w dużych salach koncertowych.
Tolles, intimes Konzert. Prima Programm, konnte sogar noch Fotos mit der Künstlern machen. Nur die Stühle knarzen, also vorsichtig sitzen😀
I wanted to attend a chopin concert in Warsaw and I had little time and it was perfect. There are no armchairs and the room is the museum of the archdiocese but it was exciting. 55 minutes of great music It's definitely worth the price of the ticket and you're right in the old town to eat something. nice experience that I would redo at an affordable price
