Chopin - Painted By Candlelights With Wine: Warsaw Concert

What a wonderful evening! The music was lovely, the setting intimate, and the glass of wine made it very special.

We attended the small Chopin concert at the Chopin Boutique Hotel in Warsaw. The setting was fine, rather intimate, but we were rather disappointed by the pianist. Despite his fine selection of masterworks (including 2 nocturnes, 2 scherzos, a polonaise and a Beethoven sonata), we couldn't help noticing that the pianist lacked technical precision as well as musical feeling. In particular the Nocturne in Cminor and the Beethoven Sonata were quite disappointing.

This is an intimate salon. The musician we saw, Stefan Walczyuiesie. Was spectacular! Our hostess was a writer and read from her book, recited her beautiful poetry to set a wonderful mood for Chopin and Stefan’s virtuoso performance. Highly recommended!

Staying in Warsaw for the first time visiting with my sister from the UK Staying at Chopin Boutique and this evening attended a luminous candlelit (with wine!) piano recital at the Chopin Salon located within the hotel where Vinayak Chaturvedi performed some of Chopin favourite works as well as one of his own compositions called River of Chopin, which we loved, so beautiful, moving and creative Staff really friendly and helpful (maps, advice, help with train booking) Highly recommend I’m going to come back with my husband next time

An absolutely wonderful and intimate place, far away from mass tourism. Peaceful, elegant and full of atmosphere. My parents and I spent a truly beautiful evening in the charming salon, listening to wonderful piano music by candlelight. It was such a special experience — peaceful, emotional and deeply moving. Katarzyna Hushta gave an outstanding performance. Her playing was full of sensitivity, passion and emotion, and she created a truly magical atmosphere. It was much more than simply listening to a concert — it was a beautiful cultural experience that my parents and I will remember for a long time. If you are looking for something authentic and special in Warsaw, away from the crowds and typical tourist attractions, we highly recommend Chopin Salon. A wonderful evening filled with beautiful music and unforgettable emotions. Highly recommended! ❤️🎶

Lech Liam Furdyna was so talented and warm hearted. The space was beautiful and welcoming. Dinner on the patio afterwards was delicious. We didn’t have much time in Warsaw and we are so grateful that we got to experience this treat!

What a wonderful experience! We were greeted by a lovely lady offering a glass of wine / soft drink. We had a choice of seats in a cosy room lit by candlelights. The atmosphere was magical. We listened to some of the best Chopin's pieces and had a very enjoyable evening. Highly recommended!

Wonderful evening with Lech Liam Furdyna. To see such exquisite talent in such a traditional venue is a memory I will treasure forever. Tears of pure joy were witnessed in the audience. Thank you. You can also get a good traditional.meal.downstairs after. Highly recommended.

A beautiful concert. Mr. Vinayak played wonderfully. I've been to various Chopin concerts before. This one takes place in an intimate atmosphere, by candlelight, with a glass of wine. You feel as if you're surrounded by music. I was most moved by Chopin's waltzes and Mr. Vinayak's own composition, which perfectly fit the atmosphere. This event is a must-see for Chopin enthusiasts, but not only. Those who enjoy piano music in general as well. Thank you❤️.

A brilliant evening of music in an intimate setting. The Salon is in the Chopin Boutique B&B Hotel (also wonderful). The pianist was world class. A glass of wine was served which was a nice treat. This was such a special, authentic experience. Go!

Lovely! Best way to describe this experience. The young pianist we had was an award winning international Chopin competition winner. The venue was just how Chopin loved to play-small and intimate. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5: not all of the seats are good - I was seated on the end and could see the pianist or the keyboard. And the sweet treat is one very small ( think a little bigger than a US quarter) cookie that you grabbed out of a basket. The music was and should be the focus and it was outstanding.

It was an incredible experience, the space, the music is incredible, it is an incredibly intimate and charming event.

Truly an absolute highlight of a trip through the five remaining countries in Northern Europe I had not visited - it is no wonder why the Warsaw Airport is named after Chopin. The female pianist brilliantly portrayed his inspiring and uplifting work and provided commentary to offer context in between - and the candlelight and glass of wine were much appreciated touches to enhance the experience. Highly recommend - there are obviously many providers of these types of concerts in Warsaw, but the fact that this was so intimate in the type of venue Chopin himself preferred made it very special. While Billy Joel played and sang "The Piano Man", Chopin is absolutely THE Piano Man!!

This is a must do experience whilst visiting Warsaw. It was an intimate atmosphere, just like Chopin would have performed. Yene from Japan performance was outstanding. 😍🎹🎼🎵

You can see Chopin concerts just about anywhere in the city... but we were looking for an intimate atmosphere with some ambiance to enjoy the music. We found this all here. We were warmly greeted with a drink and some cookies in the cosy, candle lit room. The seating is intimate rather than massive and there is not a bad seat in the room. The music was just as we hoped it would be, a very talented artist performing Chopin by candlelight. We questioned what to wear but dress varied from casual to dressy, whatever you choose. Ultimately we made the right decision to experience this musical experience with ambience and wine.

It was beautiful and peaceful. I enjoyed spending time listening a beautiful piano !

Brilliant repertoire and atmosphere in a lovely setting.

It was a lovely experience, love the salon atmosphere… and the friendly staff. They do offer a glass of wine with the experience, but you can buy another one at the intermission.

It was like going back in time when Chopin performed his music in a parlor or the “Salon” of a patron’s home. We enjoyed a glass of wine and the intimate setting. I do not know much about classical music, but it was a lovely experience. The pianist was marvelous.

A truly beautiful evening with Chopin’s music in Warsaw. The atmosphere was incredibly warm and intimate — a small salon thoughtfully arranged with tables, armchairs, and sofas, all softly illuminated by candlelight. It created a perfect setting for complete immersion in the music. The program was carefully curated, and the performance by Wojciech Świętoński was outstanding. His level of artistry is exceptionally high — he handled technically demanding pieces with both precision and deep sensitivity. The final piece, the famous Nocturne in E minor (Op. posth.), unpublished during Chopin’s lifetime, was performed so movingly that it brought tears to my eyes. The concert lasted about an hour and left a truly beautiful aftertaste of a perfectly spent evening. Chopin’s music feels like lace woven from notes!

What a world class performance by Anna Noydook Kykaukz. We stayed at the delightful hotel and had the privilege of experiencing this excellent life performance. The highlight is f our stay in Warsaw.

This concert was an unexpected delight at the Chopin Boutique Hotel. Wojciech Świętoński played beautifully, with interesting explanations between the pieces. The standard was far above anything you would expect from a hotel pianist. It felt as if the room just a flight of stairs up from the hotel reception had been turned into a top ranking concert hall with a free glass of wine included. I didnt take any pictures during the concert because I was so entranced. We stayed in the generously sized Paderewski suite named after the famous pianist and composer who became a spokesman for Polish independence. So all in all a very harmonious start to our short Polish trip.

After this concert, as you stroll through the streets of Warsaw, Chopin seems to play softly in the back of your mind, turning your city walk into something almost magical. An atmosphere that draws you in; peaceful, enchanting, and staying with you long after the night is over. That night, Vinayak Chaturvedi brought Chopin’s compositions to life with remarkable sensitivity, filling the air with magic. Without a doubt, one of the finest experiences you can have in Warsaw.

Great atmosphere, more intimate, different from other places in Warsaw. They Melissa played beautifully and I loved the introduction before sections. Strongly recommend.

I booked the event for birthday of my husband. We spent an amazing evening with great music played by great pianist. I really recommend it not only for tourists.

Don’t even like classical music, but this performance got me into looking into it now. Great pianist, performance, and her words were very inspiring.

I highly recommend this concert whenever you visit Warszaw. Fryderyk Chopin preferred to play for a small audience in a salon, and here you listen to his beautiful music in a similar setting as you, for a fleeting moment move back in time. A lovely intimate venue. A nice glass of wine as you arrive. Very professional passionate pianist. The venue was off the beaten track and not easy to find.

Our pianist (thuy melissa dao) was amazing, we especially liked that we were provided with some context, stories & poems in between each piece, the candles and light provided such a cosy experience !! A lovely evening all round !!! Would really recommend x

Up close I enjoyed an hour long presentation by Juliusz Goniarski. I liked the suite of different Chopin compositions played. I can see how much Juliusz loved playing for us. I highly recommend when you are in Warsaw. Very accessible with public transport although I was a hotel guest.

It was very cozy and very sweet: they really nailed that salon atmosphere and it was completely different experience from concert halls, where concerts like this usually take place; you could see the piano and the pianist from up close and it created a very personal, sweet atmosphere. And the music did not disappoint at all! In addition, you get a glass of white wine and a heart-shaped cookie.

We really enjoyed the Chopin concert in the beautiful, candlelit, salon setting. The pianist was excellent and included poetry and storytelling in her performance. À drink and treat were included which added to the enjoyment. We highly recommend this experience!
