My wife and I booked this as part of a European tour from Sydney. We had a terrific time. Our driver, Jack, picked us up promptly at 630am. We arrived for the 1030 guided tour in English, proceeded to a guided tour of the adjacent Birkenau camp, met Jack back at Auschwitz, had lunch at a nice restaurant then drove back to Warsaw. It was in total a 12 hour day. So having a cheerful driver who could add value to our experience was very useful. We found the trip to be excellent, with the caveat that Auschwitz is not a comfortable place to visit.

It was a smooth and easy ride to our tour. Jack was very knowledgeable!
Jack was great. Highly recommended.
My guide, Jaciek, was great - knowledgeable and funny! Communication with AB Poland was quick and efficient. Good experience
The tour was excellent due to the driver and main guide who demonstrated great skills and delivered a high-quality experience. However, my overall impression was undermined by the conduct of another individual who appeared to play a lead role—a young woman with a walking stick. Her behaviour though brief, was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional in her interactions with us. This conduct is unacceptable in any context, but particularly inappropriate for a tour regarding the significance of Auschwitz. It had a negative impact on the quality of our experience but there is a risk to the reputation of your company and deterring future customers. This was a premium tour, for which I paid accordingly, and I travelled all the way from New Zealand with the expectation of an insightful and professional service. I strongly urge you to review this matter and take appropriate action to ensure that future customers do not encounter similar treatment.
The tour was changed at the last minute & we were told to make our way to a meeting point which was a 30 minute walk. We had paid for hotel pick up. We wasted an evening trying to sort this out. Eventually it was sorted & a taxi was sent to our hotel. The tours were great but would have been enough but a Krakow tour was added on & we didn't get back to our hotel until 0030 as we were piked up @ 0615. Driver was great & the tour guides were fantastic.
We booked a day trip from Warsaw to Auschwitz with AB Poland Travel and everything went very smoothly. The company sent us all the details in advance by email, including our driver's contact, which was very helpful and gave us peace of mind. Our driver, Jakub, was excellent – very friendly, a careful and calm driver, and he even gave us some great tips about things to see and do in Warsaw. He made a long day much more pleasant and comfortable. We really appreciated his professionalism and attitude. Would definitely recommend AB Poland Travel to anyone looking for a well-organised, reliable, and friendly experience in Poland. (Sandra)
The driver picked us up and dropped us off promptly. He gave us little tidbits about Warsaw on both drives. He ensured we made it in to the museum and also to Birkenau. I would highly recommend this trip.
Great experience, good and cordial chauffeur Jacek, good lunch, nice guided tour, recommend for everyone, be prepared for lot of walking
An excellent adventure. Our great guide was a fountain of information and really helped us gain insight into Polish culture and history. The museum at Auswitch/Birkenau was very interesting and well organized. A worthy presentation of important history that must not be forgotten. It’s a long drive if you go from Warsaw, but worth it. Even more so if it is spent learning about the country and it’s people.
The best experience! Worth every penny! The driver Pawel was super friendly and a real professional. All the trip was perfectly made into the last detail. Absolutely recommend, you’ll never regret it!
I did the day long tour to Auschwitz from Warsaw. The driver, Pawel, was extremely good and took care of us the whole way. Despite it being a 4 Hour drive each way from Warsaw everything was handled extremely smoothly and professionally, which was welcome given the very serious nature of this particular trip.
It was a very great trip and the experience was very moving. Mr. Pawel was a great host. Very friendly and helpful .. it was a pleasure interacting with him. Kamesh and Vandana
Really nice driver, we had Sebastian. Efficient and polite. In my opinion everyone should visit Auschwitz and see the history behind this place.
Booked last minute, and so while this tour was full, they were able to upgrade me to add Krakow for free! Highly recommend as the drivers and guides we very knowledgeable. Only complaint was that my lunch was kinda overcooked (I got the pork chop).
The tour is pricey for what offers. We left the hotel at 5:35 am and took 4 hours to get to the camp. There we have to wait 1 more hour to start of our tour (the operator buy the tickets only once we are there, so we have to wait the next group available). Also, contrary from what I thought, the tour guide is not from the operator, instead from the museum. It is good because they are locals and well prepared, but you don’t need to pay more for it. Just buy the tour from the museum. And the group was not small at all, it was the standard museum group of 30 people. We ended up having the same tour of everyone else. After the visit, we had lunch, which it was a nice surprise. Good food from a local restaurant. And then, more 1 hour and a half to get to Krakow, where we stayed only 1 hour (without tour guide) before getting back to Warsaw. Overall, the operator was responsible for only the transfer, which being really honest, it would be better to have made it by train due to no traffic. My recommendation is to book directly on the museum website, since the tour guide is from the museum, and go by train. It would have taken 2:36h instead of 4h. It will be much cheaper and faster. Regrets of paid $800 for 2 people, since I could have paid around $250 (42 for train + 25 for the guided tour + 25 lunch). In the end of the day, you 550 more for a car ride that takes longer than the train and a small lunch. In my opinion, it is not worthy. Anyway, always learning.
It was really worth visiting, and definitely something worth sharing with friends & families after the visit. And the arrangement of all the transportation were done super smoothly and the staff very friendly!
There are many important lessons from history, and about humanity, that you will learn from making this trip from Warsaw. However, it is a long drive (but longer even by train) so be prepared to leave early in the morning from downtown Warsaw (5 or 6 am) which will get you there at the opening of the Auschwitz tour which are organized by language at specific times starting at 0900. My one criticism would be that you will not be guaranteed tickets by the travel agency when book thru TripAdvisor ... your reservation with the operator is confirmed but they still have to book tickets for you at the museum separately. We were told just the night before (after the cancellation period) that we did not have tickets reserved and that we might not get inside after driving 3 hours - you can imagine this led to some stress overnight. But we took the risk and drove for three hours at 0500 and they were 5 tickets available when we arrived at 0845 for the 0900 tour. Honestly, if we had not gotten those tickets, my review would have been 1 star at best but we did get the tickets and our driver, Peter, was very nice and helpful which is why this is a 5-star review.
Probably the most important tour to do when visiting Poland - so much to learn and see. Our driver (Mikoaj) was a safe driver and organised the meeting with our tour guide. The lunch was delicious.
First ,our driver was very friendly and on time,we talked like we knew each other a long time.He took us to the Auschwitz and was very helpful with every detail.Wiktor was able to find a place to eat and use the restroom, very nice young dude
Wektor was an amazing guide and driver. We learned alot on our way to and from Warsaw. I highly recommend 👌
Informative and moving day tour to Auschwitz from Warsaw. My driver Wiktor was fantastic. I highly recommend this tour
Very impressive day with our guide Mikolaj. Sadness at Auschwitz und impressed by the beauty of Krakai. Mikolaj is very friendly and a.perfect gentlemen.
The tour was amazing from the lunch, to the entire tour with a guide, and our driver Mikolaj was the absolute best!
Awesome trip. Our driver, Wiktor was very friendly, professional and well informed. He even took the time to show us around some more while we waited for our tour guide.
The tour was everything that we expected. Very informative! Visiting Auschwitz has been on my bucket list since I was a kid and was an experience that I will never forget. Our driver, Kevin, was very friendly and great to talk to on the long drive to and from Auschwitz! Our tour guide, who I unfortunately can’t remember her name, was wonderful as well. This tour is highly recommended by my wife and myself!
Kevin was super friendly and helpful. Good conversation and he drove great! Lunch was an added bonus.
FANTASTIC TOUR. Wictor was a great driver and stopped when we needed bathroom breaks. Vlvrry nice and friend. The tour guide in Krakow was so knowledgeable. Auschwitz/Birkenau was a somber experience but the guide there was excellent. Highly recommend this tour
Our driver Pawel was fantastic! Very friendly & accommodating on the long drive to & from Auschwitz from Warsaw. The Mercedes Van was perfect for the long drive for 6 of us. Our Tour guide for the 2 camps was amazing - really knowledgeable & informative. The lunch at the cafe was good quality polish food & the portions were good. All-in-all a great experience despite it being a long day overall.
Great tour. Driver was extremely friendly and drove great. Felt safe to be in his capable hands. The guides in both Auschwitz and Krakow were also top notch. Knowledgeable and professional.
Wiktor was so nice and a great driver. My only regret was my Auschwitz ticket was not handled ahead of time, so I had to wait in line for a ticket and then also wait another 45 minutes for a tour, so an hour wasted. This also caused me to miss the cafe after the tour for water and something to eat since it closed at 6. Thank goodness Wiktor was able to beg them for a water for me!!! This was not his fault, and he still went above and beyond. Speaking of water, I followed AB’s instructions and did not bring my backpack or water bottle to the tour and left it in the car. Everyone else had larger bags filled with water without any trouble through security. Maybe the rules have changed? Thank you for a wonderful day! I’ll be back!
The dialogue with the driver was the highlight. The guide was very good although it felt like we were rushing at times and we were interrupted by other groups which made it hard to hear
Had a wonderful time and both guides as well as our driver were amazing. Very much recommend using this company.
Hassle-free journey from Warsaw and it was great also the tour squeezed in a couple of free and easy hours in Krakow!
Excellent tour but the guide in Auschwitz’s tour was quite unfriendly. At one point was on the phone and 2 from my party were left behind. Not paying attention to the well-being of the members. When brought to her notice was quite rude and unkind. Not learnt much about kindness and empathy in this place which should have taught someone by now. 🙏🏽
Excellent trip We really enjoyed guide/driver Jasper. Woud highly recommend. Only one small negative. The tour promised perogies for lunch. We had pork chops instead. Good, but we were looking forward to the pierogies.
The driver’s commitment and the tour in Krakow were great. Beautiful churches. I recommend the day to Auschwitz + Krakow!
I originally booked the tour via train, but AB Poland reached out and offered riding in a passenger van with free lunch instead. I took the van. The tour itself was amazing, and the tour guide was knowledgeable and thorough. The driver, Wiktor, was also friendly and I learned so much that day. As a young student, the price made me a bit weary, but it is worth every penny (and then some!) Highly recommend, and next time I'm in Poland, I'll be sure to book a different tour with the same agency :)
Our drive was friendly and helpful. Tour good was informative. Overall highly recommend. This is a tour that everyone should take once.
I was able to book the tour the day before, very easily, and pay by card without any problem. The tour in itself was very good. The driver was very good at making a good atmosphere. It was very pleasant, discussing with him and with the other group members. The lunch was excellent, a traditional polish meal. At Auschwitz, the guide was excellent. I wanted to visite there for so long, I'm glad I got to do it in those ideal circumstances. I would use the company again.
Tour was excellent; guide was excellent and our driver made the tour even better. She was very knowledgeable about various places in Poland
We had a group of seven. Our guide (your employee from Viator) that pick us up from the hotel was over 20 minutes late. We even paid extra for her to pick us up at our hotel because we were a little bit further from the town center of Warsaw She was an extremely slow driver! I believe it was her first time ever driving a van! When parking a van she parked too close to the sidewalk and scrape the whole front end bumper of the van! She also missed several turns which added time. When making a U-turn we almost got hit by an oncoming car 🚗 We also missed The first 20 minutes of our tour. 😡 On the way back to our hotel we stopped at a gas station to grab a quick drink and use the restroom. We asked our tour guide if she needed gas and she said no. Looking at the gas gauge we knew she would not make it to our hotel without getting gas there at the gas station we stopped at. When we got towards our hotel. We were five minutes away and running very late. We had to go get a Covid test And told her we had an appointment before we left back towards our hotel and she needed to go get gas! It made us late for our Covid test at the airport as well. 😡.
The tour was amazing. The tour operator, Agnies, was on time at our pickup location and well organized, giving us time to take a break on the road for potty and snacks. The tour of Auschwitz was very instructive and moving. Suzanna has been a tour guide for 20 years and had a lot of inside info that I never had heard before. Agnies was a great driver and guide with lots of information about Poland's history. She is very professional and personable. After Auschwitz we were driven to Krakow for a 3 hour visit. It was a joy to share our day with her. We would definitively recommend this tour!
The tour operator is very available making the booking easy. The tour is well organized, leaving us time to take a break on the road and to share local lunch. The visit itself was both instructive and touching. Moreover, Piotr was a perfect driver and guide. He gave us information about Poland history and good advice for our stay. It was pleasant to share our day with him. We would definitively recommend this tour!
Excellent company that assisted us with travel and tours on three different occasions. Would use them again.
Everything was perfectly organized, our driver / guide spoke French which was a wonderful surprise to us. Tour was intense. Highly recommend to do it.
Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp, Poland. One needs to remember when visiting a German Concentration Camp that the majority (96%) of prisoners held there had not committed any crime and were being held illegally, they were victimised, robbed, brutalised and stripped of their freedom, dignity, labour, starved and when too sick to work murdered. The reason I mention this is because these two camps are visible proof that the holocaust occurred and what you have read about them is true. Auschwitz – Birkenau are two separate camps situated 1.5 miles apart. Auschwitz was originally a Polish Army barracks built to house about 800 men, during the Nazi Occupation it contained up to 8000, worth seeing is the museum and Barracks 11. A 2- hour visit is advised. After leaving Auschwitz you can catch a bus or taxi to the nearby Birkenau extermination camp, as it comes into view you might be overcome with emotion with what you see. 1.4 million prisoners came through those huge entrance gates, of whom 900 000 died. Well-hidden at the lower end of the camp are the remains of the four gas chambers that operated there, these had a staff of 880 men, all of whom were shot every 3-months and replaced in order to prevent them being witnesses to what they had seen. A leading criminal there was the camp doctor, another was a young blonde who had once worked as a milkmaid on farms milking cows, another was a man who carried out every order he was given without question, he was in charge of the gas chambers and thought it was an ordinary job and because he was an employee this absolved him from all responsibility for his criminal acts and actions. You can spend a full day in Birkenau, and not see it all. It is vast, scary, and the derelict site of one of the most horrid mass-murder crimes ever committed. Go there once and never return. The trip was amazing. Very well done as the tour guide was informative and sensitive. You get a real sense of what happened by seeing the location and artifacts.
Our tour guide of the camp was great, but crowds were disrespectful at Auschwitz. There should be more control and order of the crowds and fewer wandering. The trip organizer and driver were great!
Highly recommend this tour if you wish to save the hassle from finding your way to the site yourself, since the tour is arranged for you and the transport is so convenient. They were kind enough to accommodate my request for an early tour so I could return to the airport. Our driver Pawel was professional and helpful. Don't miss this powerful experience
