Regent Warsaw Hotel

I got this room on a last minute deal so given the very attractive price with breakfast included, this was a marvellous deal. Free pool, large fitness center, spacious rooms and helpful staff ready to grant your wishes (I wanted yoghurt as a late night snack upon arrival and got it). I haven't tried the sauna and I admit, the room decor and the TV are a bit aged, and the windows in the inner courtyard cannot be opened. May give some a claustrophobic feeling.

On the whole, an excellent hotel - great value for money. Clean, modern, spacious rooms. A little bit far from sightseeing spots, but the trams are frequent and literally just outside, so that´s easily resolved. Service is efficient. On the downside: being so near the tram-tracks and main road, our room was quite noisy, especially after opening the window to get some fresh air. I would also advise the hotel management to look into fixing the sliding door to the bathroom: it´s way too stiff. Plus, the shower floor - being very smooth marble - is a potential accident waiting to happen: very slippery.

We came from Sweden for an 8-night stay. It was the worst 5-star experience I’ve ever had. Internet was slow. The pillows was extremely uncomfortable—as thin as flatbread. Breakfast was the same every day. The cabinet under the washbasin in the room was broken and had been propped up with a bin. The staff were rude and not at all hospitable; if you stayed until the end of breakfast, they’d come and clear your plate away, telling you to get up and leave. The staff by the pool who is wearing an orange T-shirt, behaved in an extremely annoying and rude manner. It went down as our worst experience ever. Even three-star hotels do a better job.
