Hotel Bellotto

Very nice ornate hotel and room. Great shower and provided toiletries. Breakfast at the on site restaurant had a huge selection of buffet for 50zl, and a menu of more. The bathroom smelled like sewer for a while until we ran all the taps and left for dinner. The whole place feels like it tried so hard to be fancy, and got most of the way there but it still feels a little off. It also felt like a ghost town, barely saw 4 other people the whole time and the long marbled hallways echo the silence. But it's also just steps away from the start of the old city with plenty to eat and see.

I thought I was going to have a 5 star hotel experience, however just checking in at first was a non enjoyable experience. The staff was rather rude and did not come off as welcoming in any way. The room itself was nice but the bathroom is mediocre. While usuing the toilet scrubber it broke with normal usage. The rooms take a long time to be cleaned. I will say the location is really nice for being in old town but to me this hotel is not worth anyone’s money. The breakfast is 150 zł per person per day which is incredibly overpriced and I had a better breakfast for so much cheaper at other hotels in Warsaw that are also 5 stars. This hotel will not see me again and I hope they can find better, more welcoming staff.

Absolutely amazing room. If I hadn’t received that corner room with great view, I would have been quite disappointed with the hotel. You need to be prepared that, although the hotel has a great history and beautiful atmosphere, the corridors and entrance areas feel very old and could use renovation. I would definitely recommend booking one of the highest room categories. I would also like to thank Kristina at the reception, who did everything possible to make my stay and my day truly wonderful. ❤️🙏 And I highly recommend visiting the Focaccia restaurant downstairs and trying the tagliatelle with prawns — it was absolutely delicious. The only issue I had with the room was the bed. All the pillows was not comfortable and low quality. The king-size bed was made up of two separate mattresses, which created a gap in the middle. As a result, first night it felt like sleeping in a dip, which was quite uncomfortable. Oh….Also card was not working. I had to open door each time with the key 🔑😅

I had a very disappointing experience with Hotel Bellotto even before booking. Communication started, but then completely stopped for three days while I was trying to clarify important details for my stay. Initially, I received replies via WhatsApp, but then the communication suddenly disappeared, and I only received a response by email three days later. This was especially frustrating as I clearly explained that my stay was in just a few days and that it was for my birthday, asking the hotel to take this into consideration. The response itself was also unhelpful. The hotel refused to clarify basic details such as room size and view before payment. Considering that the room size varies significantly (from 27 to 42 m²), this lack of transparency is unacceptable. For a hotel positioning itself in the luxury segment, this level of communication and guest care is far below expectations. This is not the level of service one would expect from a luxury hotel. Unfortunately, this experience did not give me any confidence to proceed with the booking, and I would not consider staying here.
