The guide, Elizabeth was the best part. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and sooo funny! I would recommend her to anyone.

We were late, but called ahead that we were coming. Instructions were very clear just everything takes longer than you imagine.
We enjoyed the Step in Time guided tour of Colonial Williamsburg. Our guide Tom was excellent and conveyed a lot of interesting insights and information about the history of the city and its inhabitants. We were very happy that we booked this tour.
I am so glad that we did this walking tour with Elizabeth. She was so very knowledgeable about the history and personalities of colonial Williamsburg! Given that we only had one day to explore the area, this was an ideal way to see and learn as much as possible during a short amount of time. And as others have mentioned, we learned the origins of so many common sayings. Great stuff! Elizabeth rocks!
Guide was amazing. So many facts and stories. Almost felt like I was living in the period. So polite. Eager to share. Great experience
Lisa was excellent. So knowledgeable about colonial Williamsburg. Told us the history of many of the colonial shops. Stopped many times to sit. Wonderful tour. Well worth the money.
Elizabeth was wonderful and very well informed. It was a very nice tour and she explained a lot about the buildings we visited
You need to allow a full day for this. Our guide, Elizabeth, was very knowledgeable full of facts and dates and names! But if you go into the various houses there are people in costume who, if you engage with them, will tell you everything you need to know about their speciality. The only thing we were annoyed about is that we paid for Elizabeth to be our guide but we were unaware we had to pay to get into these houses which did add another £50 to our day.
Elizabeth was our tour guide and she was absolutely awesome! She carries a passion for the history and is one of the most friendliest people you'll ever meet! Would definitely recommend booking a tour with her. We went on a three hour tour and it was so much fun!!
This 3-hour walking tour was my first introduction to Colonial Williamsburg, and our guide, Elizabeth, did a wonderful job reminding me of much of the American Revolution I had forgotten and the importance of Williamsburg itself. I appreciated her extensive knowledge of this extremely important time period in our nation's birth. I highly recommend this walking tour.
Our guide Elizabeth was WONDERFUL
Elizabeth our guide was excellent & very knowledgeable. This is a great learning of history. A must see town.
Great tour! Learned an immense amount about the history of Williamsburg.
We really enjoyed our visit to Colonial Williamsburg. The history is fascinating. Our guide, Lisa, was awesome. We really enjoyed the entire experience.
Tom, our guide who has more than four decades of experience with colonial Williamsburg, was beyond amazing! He gave us so many interesting facts and trivia, and went way above what we expected. He made this fabulous colonial Williamsburg experience truly a superb trip for my daughter and myself and one that we will always remember. He was so good. It’s almost embarrassing with how little we paid for this tour. Needless to say it was well worth the money!
This tour was absolutely outstanding! Elizabeth, the tour guide, knew all sorts of relevant details about the buildings that we entered or passed. She has a great knowledge of the time period and the people who lived in Williamsburg at that time. I learned a lot about our nation's history!
Our guide Tom was great. The area is filled with history.. all of the actors were very knowledgeable. We saw things we did not see last time.
Step back in time sounds like a lot for 3 hours, but it is constantly in motion. We never felt tired as there was always a story to hear. We saw several buildings and demonstrations. The tour does vary based on what is open on that day, and the length of the line to get into individual places (ex. skip a long line to see two other places). Our guide Tom had so many bits of knowledge to share, and small details we never would have noticed that really enhanced the experience. He expertly guided us around to see the most for our time. Would highly recommend!
Tom was incredibly knowledgeable, A good listener and very kind and respectful. My husband and I really enjoyed his stories of how certain terms or phrases in the English language were determined. So fun! Tom has a very nice demeanor, which is perfect for working with the public.
We had a great tour guide in Tom. He was a walking encyclopedia of American history. Wish it could have lasted longer. Thanks for a great experience!
Very interesting. Lots of history and everyone was friendly and passionate about the preservation efforts.
Elizabeth is a very knowledgeable and very fun guide. We really enjoyed the tour and recommend to anyone visiting colonial Williamsburg. We learned a lot of things we didn’t know.
Lots of background and stories to help understand Colonial Williamsburg. Much better than just looking at buildings and reading signs.
Tom was a great guide. He was knowledgeable and shared anecdotes in order to make the experience more relatable. We thoroughly enjoyed all the Colonial period Colloquialisms he shared with us!
It was fantastic. Tom, our guide, was highly experienced, exceptionally knowledgeable and very entertaining.
Elizabeth was an amazing guide for the "Step in Time Inside Historic Buildings of Colonial Williamsburg" trip. Her deep understanding of history made everything come to life, and her welcoming attitude made it both fun and enlightening. She told us interesting stories about the origins of familiar sayings and vivid living history stories that really took us back to the time of the colonies. I definitely suggest this to everyone who likes history and real stories. It was a great experience.
Fantastic! Liz was wonderful, personable, educational, and customize our experience since a lot to see in a short amount of time. Highly recommend and well worth it!
