Ann, our guide for the Secret Lives of Colonial Women, was a wealth of knowledge and brought the early residents of Colonial Williamsburg to life! She was just so intriguing to listen to. I only have one suggestion and that is to have a more detailed description of what to expect during the tour. The meeting place was spot on, but didn't realize that the tour would last 2 hours and that most of that time would be standing outside in whatever weather was going on for that day. There was a brief respite while inside the church. Giving these details in the description of the tour would be helpful, especially if you're a senior.

Ann was awesome. We received a peek into life for women in the early days of this country, their rights (few), and responsibilities (many). Specific women in history were highlighted. The Bruton Parish Church, where we started, was fascinating with its history and impact on our founding fathers - and mothers. Wouldn’t have missed this tour and highly recommend it.
We had a brilliant tour with Anne. What she doesn’t know about the history of Colonial Williamsburg isn’t worth knowing! So much interesting information, really bringing history to life.
I had the joy of going along on one of Anne's 'Women's Place in History' Tours last week and found it utterly fascinating. Anne is a fount of all knowledge on all things Williamsburg, and treats history with such joy, respect and excitement. She truly sees the humanity in each of the historic figures she talks about- regardless of their fame or status- every story she tells is full of love and understanding. A remarkable insight into a truly remarkable place. Don't miss out!
While the guide was knowledgeable and interesting, her commentary didn't seem to go with the title, Secret Lives of Colonial Women.
