This tour was SO MUCH fun! The guide, Jeremy, was personable and funny and told a lot of interesting stories about the city. I feel like the tour went by so fast because it was so entertaining, but it was a good 2 hours of information with a break in the middle. We covered the entire city, and I had a great time!

Saw lots of notable Richmond sites and learned about them and other famous people! Guide was fabulous! So knowledgeable with a great sense of humor!!

I know we saw and learned more from this jaunt through the city than we could have discovered. We were even quizzed about the cities' history, and characters. The tour guide was informative and entertaining, she really made the tour fun and very enjoyable, she did an absolutely great job. Our driver was awesome, I barely knew that I was in fact being driven by the way she was handling the bus and getting us through the city, never worried about our moving around and it gave me that much more time to focus on what Alyssa was telling us. Bottom line, Lindsey and Alyssa were terrific, made our trip down from Maryland very worthwhile and I saw and came to appreciate sides to the city that I didn't know before. My kids loved this tour, too!

The off-beat historic bus tour was entertaining and informative! Alyssa, was a lovely tour guide who did an amazing job! The bus seats were comfortable. If you go in the summer, I would recommend not sitting in the back seat of the bus, as we couldn't feel the air conditioning!!

What a great way to learn about Richmond! This tour focused on fun and interesting facts that both visitors and locals might not yet know. Brian was an absolute hoot and clearly had a wealth of knowledge about the city's history. He made it easy for all passengers to remain engaged in the tour. Also, our driver did phenomenal job navigating the city on a busy Sunday afternoon!

We tried to cancel and get a refund and or a different time for a tour in the future because we tested positive for Covid The tour operator said that would not be possible because it was not in the 24 hour slotted time! How could I know that I would test positive?

What a great way to get to know Richmond! Alissa did a great job blending the history, legends, local lore and sightseeing into a great trip around the area. Our driver, Andrew, navigated the area expertly and pointed out some of the unique features of Richmond roads! Great for groups (we were a group 12 together) and Alissa tailors the tour to cover what each group wants to know! Only regret was we should have done the tour earlier in our trip so we could have had time to visit more of the cool sites and neighborhoods Alissa and Andrew took us to, highly recommend!!

Highlight of our trip to Richmond hands down and makes us want to stay longer!

This was a fun and interesting tour! Alissa left us wanting to come back to Richmond again and again. Andrew kept us safe and provided great beer recs. If you want a silly tour with a few drinks, this is the tour to do.

Our family of 4 really enjoyed this tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and funny. The bus takes you around to many of Richmond’s most interesting places. The tour was awesome with many interesting facts about things even a native Virginian would not know about Richmond. If you have a few hours free in Richmond, would recommend this tour!

We have traveled to Richmond many times. Each time we try to learn more about and see more of this city. This tour offered us the unique experience of seeing both familiar and unfamiliar areas of the city while hearing some interesting stories about each of the sites. The stories were definitely new and we learned so many things about the neighborhoods we visited. This tour would be fun for a whole family or an individual since the tour director and driver were so friendly and accommodating. There were opportunities to ask questions and even a bit of audience participation was encouraged!

An annual one night stand in Richmond. We decided to learn a bit about it. We were fortunate in that we had we had a Pleasant, funny, engaging guide . Fun facts and a good street tour of the central city. Long enough. Just right!

Very interesting and informative presentation of little known details of Richmond’s history. Guides were knowledgeable and personable, and obviously enjoyed in sharing the offbeat “other” stories from history. The accompanying video maps and pictures really helped bring the stories to life, kudos for using them and well done overall!!!

Our "Off Beat History Tour" was fantastic! The guide, Brian, did such a wonderful job of sharing interesting information in a clear, but also entertaining way. As locals, we definitely learned some new tidbits that further bolstered our pride in RVA. The relatively small size of the bus ensured we could easily hear (unlike many other tours we have been on in other cities), and the visuals displayed on the screen helped flesh out the stories to give us a clearer understanding. Kudos to Brian, and to our driver, Stephen, who safely maneuvered through city traffic while also being so courteous and helpful. Well done!

Are black cats really the tour guides at Edgar Allen Poe's home "that he never lived in." Did Poe's mom roll out of the graveyard six times. . . for real? Taylor ( our tour guide ) is born to get anyone laughing; she tickles every bone up your spine until you burst out with Man this is a Whole Different Virginia ! I wanted to wrap my arms around this new Virginia and Ms. Taylor. Five Stars all the way !

Brian was great! We really enjoyed the tour It's great for someone that hasn't been to Richmond and wants to "dip their toe" in the tourist traps. 😉

Brian was very personable and gave us a few chuckles along the route. Richmond itself is not a very “pretty” city IMO. Although we enjoyed it, seemed more like it should have been priced at $25 for this 90 minute tour.

The Offbeat History Tour was complementary to the Historic Trolley Tour that we also took. I thought there might be a lot of repetition but Offbeat delivered many facts and stories we were unaware of, my favorite being the horse, Lady Wonder. Our guide Brian was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and personable. Our driver Kyle was skillful in navigating the bus in city traffic. Although my hubby and I are very interested in history even someone with less interest would find this to be a fun activity.

Very friendly and knowledgeable narrator. Great sense of humor! Very well done on all fronts. Would definitely recommend!
