I absolutely loved my stay at the Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria. Even though I spent most of my days exploring the area and was only at the hotel for part of the day, it truly had a welcoming, homey atmosphere that made me feel comfortable and relaxed. From the moment I arrived, I felt at ease. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made everything go smoothly throughout my stay. The comfortable environment and great hospitality made this a place I would happily return to on my next visit to Alexandria.

Total turnoff. The parking is a challenge with smaller spaces and "double space" parking. If you dont pay attention you can get boxed in. The front desk would not give us a second room key. I was told I needed to download the app to get a mobile key! When we checked in there was a serving area with iced tea and water but no cups and it looked like the area had not been cleaned all day. The rooms are clean but somewhat dated but comfortable enough with a nice TV. The Starbucks had a competent barrister. I believe her name was Anna. Very pleasant. The breakfast was supposed to have been served until 10AM on Sunday morning. My wife and I arrived at 9:30AM. For lack of better word, the breakfast area was "disgusting"! The tables were filthy. With dirty plates and silverware and crumbs all over the breakfast area. It looked as though the table area had not been cleaned all morning. Because of that, there was no place for us to to sit even if food was available. The food buffet bowls were empty with no plans to replenish. In one buffet bowl there was what amounted to a single scramled egg but someone threw a half eaten piece of toast into the bowl. There was no silver ware and no napkins. We will not be going back! DISGUSTING!
I have stayed at the Sheraton Alexandria several times over the years because of its convenient location, but my most recent stay (June 19–20) was disappointing. We reserved a Club Level room with a balcony, but the balcony was unusable because an unidentified liquid or mist continuously sprayed or dripped onto it. We specifically paid for a room with this amenity and were unable to use it. I immediately reported the issue to the front desk and was told someone would come inspect it. No one ever came, no follow-up was provided, and the problem remained unresolved for the duration of our stay. After returning home, I sent hotel management a detailed email documenting the incident and requesting an explanation of the source of the liquid, whether it had been investigated, and why no one responded after it was reported. As of June 30, I have not received even the courtesy of an acknowledgment. Problems can happen at any hotel. What separates a good hotel from a poor one is how management responds. In this case, the lack of action during our stay and the complete absence of communication afterward were far more disappointing than the original issue itself. I hope management takes guest concerns more seriously in the future.
I stayed at the Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria last week and had a really great experience. The staff was friendly and attentive from start to finish, and the service throughout my stay was excellent. I especially enjoyed the restaurant and bar area. It had a nice atmosphere and was the perfect place to relax after a long day. The location was also convenient for exploring Old Town. Watch out for the scooter though!! Overall, a comfortable stay with great service, and I’d definitely stay here again.
The room I was in had a clogged shower and sink. The staff were very nice, though. It was great being able to store my bags and refrigerated items until my room became available. The room had a fridge, safe, coffeemaker. Minus the plumbing issues, it was a decent stay. They offer free airport shuttle which was a bonus. The Braddock Rd metro stop is about a 14 minute walk from the hotel. There is an old town free shuttle that has a stop right by the hotel.
