My wife and I booked a last-minute room at the Oakhurst, and we couldn't have been happier. Within minutes of arriving, our truck was valeted, we were shown our room, and I was brought a negroni as I sank into a luxurious chaise lounge overlooking a gorgeous private pool surrounded by fine stucco walls, plants, and trees. The speed at which my mind and body relaxed was remarkable, and the ornate, brass key fob in my pocket seemed to whisper, 'Things are only getting better.' The room—and indeed, all their decor—was tasteful: nothing over the top, but classy, comfortable, bespoke, and relaxed. Old, yet polished. Our room (#31) was incredible, rivaling many upscale apartments I've seen. We left feeling well-rested and thoroughly impressed by the sophisticated and cozy atmosphere. I'd bet most guests feel as I did and eagerly anticipate their next stay at the Oakhurst.

We went for a weekend getaway in Charlottesville, Virginia, and we found this in on booking.com with good reviews! We were very excited to stay here as the location was very well placed. However, for the cost of the room, we had higher expectations for both the certain amenities of the room and the services provided. When we arrived, we saw that there was only valet parking offered for a flat $15 per night. We did ask if there was another option for parking, and they said there was not another option. In addition, they only provided one complimentary drink ticket due to telling them our check-in time, though there were two of us under the reservation. It just felt odd that for the price of the room they could not give out two drink tickets as two guest checked in. Plus, there was no bartender at 4 PM (at the time we checked in) to serve us the one free drink. When we got to our queen bed suite, it was very clean and nice. However, we did notice that the TVs were the size of computer screens. Overall, the place was nice but honestly not for the price we paid per night. We will consider staying at other spot when we come back to Charlottesville.
Needed a place to stay for a wedding and found the rooms to be fine and nicely appointed but we were not informed the interior of the building we were staying in had just been painted. The off gassing was so strong we had to have the windows open 24/7 in our room. Nobody should have been booked in those rooms with how strong the smell was. Second, they need more people working the valet/front desk. Expect to wait 10 minutes to get your car since only one person seems to work the front desk and valet at a time. If we have to come to Charlottesville again we would probably choose to stay elsewhere.
Very cute hotel!!! Bed was SO comfortable. The bar was really cute and the bartender was really friendly (studying to become a mixologist so offered to craft our cocktails based on what we were craving). Parking is valet only and $15 per car. The pool area and main building were all very cute with a cozy polished aesthetic throughout. Only (very minor) down side was I was looking forward to a morning sauna session before checkout but it wasn’t on and would probably take all day to heat up. I would 100% stay here again!
Beautiful clean rooms very comfortable beds. Great heated pool. Excellent staff. The cafe is marvelous. I enjoyed my stay at Oakhurst Inn and will definitely stay again. Special thanks to the manager, Catherine assistant manager, Tyler, mixologist Tyler, and maintenance Cory. All the staff go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and you’re comfortable. Great location, within walking distance of UVA Medical Center.
