We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were extremely spacious, clean, and comfortable. We were also really impressed by how upscale the hotel was while still being very affordable for the high quality and experience. We also were able to check in 4 hours early with ease. We really appreciated how accommodating and flexible they were! We enjoyed dining at Tides, and we loved having such a beautiful view of the bay from our balcony. The beach on the bay and pool were both wonderful and made our stay even more relaxing. All of the staff were friendly, kind, and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again!

The elevator is fixed! They finally have the second elevator working again on the beach side of the hotel. It makes a world of difference. We stayed Sunday through Thursday in a King Waterfront Suite ($2K total for the four nights). The room was fantastic. We were on the 5th floor. Amazing view. We mostly took the stairs due to the elevator issues, but that has been fixed. Pros: beach is perfect for younger kids since there are no waves, the breakfast buffet at Tides is the best deal in VA Beach ($22 per person). The food is awesome and the staff is attentive. The gym is actually usable. We had no trouble parking in the garage. The crowd at the hotel is extremely diverse from all walks of life and it's all families so it's great. No issues with late night noise in the hallways or rowdy drunks at the pool. Cons: our room ran out of soap in the shower and I tried in vain to call the front desk. Nobody answered, so I had to go find a housekeeping cart to get soap. All in all, we were very happy with our stay.
We stayed at this beachfront hotel from Monday through Friday and had a great overall experience. The hotel was very clean, and the outdoor heated pool was beautiful. The private cabanas were a nice touch for anyone wanting a little extra comfort. One thing to keep in mind is that the pool gets very crowded from the time it opens until around 9:00 p.m., and it closes at 10:00 p.m. The beach access was excellent and incredibly convenient. Even on busy days, the beach never felt overcrowded. It's a very family-friendly location, and I recommend getting to the beach by around 10:00 a.m. if you want to claim a great spot close to the water. The only minor inconvenience was the elevators. They were often slow, and there were times when taking the stairs would have been faster—even from the sixth floor. My biggest disappointment was the daily parking fee. I wasn't expecting to pay an additional $150 just to park at the hotel during our vacation. That extra expense was frustrating and is something I wish had been made much clearer before our stay. Despite the parking cost, we had a wonderful Monday through Friday vacation and appreciated the clean accommodations, somewhat easy beach access, and family-friendly atmosphere.
My brother and family recently stayed here. I only visited them in the hotel. By far, it was the best Marriot hotel! Valet parking plus additional front parking. Darryl was the owner of the valet parking and he was so pleasant, funny and down to earth! Customer service was good from what I could see. My kids had a great time at the pool and enjoyed the food. This hotel offers more amenities than any other hotel I have ever seen. It's rightbon the beach and very close to a lot of activities. Other than a very serious incident that took place near the hotel upon our arrival, I was very pleased as a visitor and would recommend this hotel.
Stayed June 19–29, 2026 This property offers a quiet, peaceful stay with a prime bayfront location and uncrowded beach access. While pleasant, it feels more like a 3-star hotel than a 4-star. Pros Service: Friendly, polite check-in staff. Amenities: Outdoor pool and a restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating. Great sunset views. Cons Room Quality: Broken drapes upon arrival; poor-quality tiny soap. Had to ask for toilet paper, towels. Added Fees for everything. Breakfast is extra. Parking ($30 self/$35 valet), beach chairs ($20/day), beach cabana ($80/day). You can rent bicycles too. Parking: Outdoor spaces fill quickly; indoor garage is extremely tight for SUVs. Disruptions: Nearby road construction and constant, loud truck traffic on the beach due to neighboring property work hindered the experience. Overall, a comfortable stay, but don't expect a modern or upscale 4-star experience.
