The Evangelical Lutheran Church (Evangelikų Liuteronų Bažnyčia) in Vilnius is a historic place of worship that reflects the city’s diverse religious heritage. Dating back to the 16th century, it has long served the Lutheran community and played an important role in Lithuania’s cultural and spiritual life. Today, the church is admired for its elegant, understated architecture and peaceful atmosphere in the heart of Vilnius.
Vokiečių Street is one of the main historic streets in Vilnius Old Town, once home to the city’s German merchant community. Today it is lined with cafés, restaurants, and shops, offering a lively atmosphere. The street provides a great place to experience local life while exploring nearby landmarks.
Vilnius Town Hall Square has been the heart of the city’s civic and commercial life since the Middle Ages. Established in the 15th century, it served as a marketplace and a key gathering place for merchants, craftsmen, and townspeople. The Town Hall itself symbolized the city’s self-governance under Magdeburg rights and witnessed major political, cultural, and social events. Over centuries, the square evolved into an important cultural center, reflecting Vilnius’s rich urban and multicultural history.
Jewish Quarter of Old Vilnius The Jewish Quarter was once the spiritual and cultural center of Jewish life in Vilnius, known as the “Jerusalem of the North.” From the 16th century until World War II, it was home to synagogues, schools, and renowned scholars, including the Vilna Gaon. Though much was destroyed during the Holocaust and Soviet era, the area remains a powerful reminder of the city’s rich multicultural past.
St. Virgin Mary’s Church (Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Consolation) is a late Baroque Roman Catholic church in Vilnius’s Old Town, built 1746–1768 by the Augustinians and notable for its unique single‑tower design. After decades of inactivity, it has been restored and now serves as both a place of worship and venue for cultural events.
Pilies Street, Vilnius Pilies Street is one of the oldest and most historic streets in Vilnius, connecting the Lower Castle area with the Town Hall. For centuries, it served as the main route for rulers, merchants, and diplomats entering the city. Today, it reflects layers of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque history.
Prezidentūra (Presidential Palace), Vilnius The Presidential Palace has served as a seat of power since the 14th century, originally hosting Lithuanian grand dukes and later foreign rulers. Over time, it became a symbol of political authority under various regimes. Today, it stands as the official residence of the President of Lithuania, representing the nation’s sovereignty.
Cathedral Square (Katedros aikštė), Vilnius Cathedral Square is the historical and symbolic heart of Vilnius, shaped by centuries of political, religious, and cultural life. It developed beside Vilnius Cathedral and the former Lower Castle of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, once the center of state power. The square has witnessed coronations, state ceremonies, public gatherings, and key moments in Lithuania’s struggle for independence, making it one of the most important sites in the country’s history.

Wonderful tour! The guide was wonderful and the route included all the big sights.
This was an excellent tour and gave us an excellent overview of Vilnius, its history, and a glimpse of hidden spaces within the city. Our guide was insightful, knowledgeable, and fascinating to listen to as he shared this lovely city with those of us on this tour. Our time in Vilnius was too short, but this tour stoked in me a hope that I will be able to return for a longer visit soon!
We had an excellent guide for this tour. He was thoughtful and knowledgeable. The often confronting history was dealt with sensitively.
I was in Vilnius for a short time and thus needed something quick and easy, so glad I chose this tour! Don was amazing and knowledgeable, we started with a cup of coffee and headed to good couple small hidden gems of the city. Perfect for my liking, highly recommended if you are here for a short time.
Excellent trip that I would thoroughly recommend. The guide was really knowledgeable and friendly. Lovely few hours spent in the Old Town
Domas was knowledgeable and showed me all the main sights and some off- beat sights. I enjoyed the visit and felt well- informed.
Dom was a wonderful guide and was so knowledgeable about the history of Vilnius. He was very friendly and my daughter and I thought ithis coffee tour was the perfect way to start our trip.
Fantastic start to our visit to Vilnius, with a great overview... and a great coffee to begin the tour! Our guide Dominicus was excellent... explained things well and provided very interesting perspectives we wouldn't have got walking around by ourselves. Small group made it very easy to engage and hear. Highly recommend
a perfect small group morning tour of the city, great guide. Ideal orientation for our long weekend.
Great way to start the day! I loved this morning coffee tour! A tasty coffee to go and a guide who was super friendly, fun, and full of interesting stories. We didn’t just see the typical tourist spots – instead, we explored unique places with real character. A perfect mix of coffee, culture, and hidden gems. Highly recommended!
This ended up being almost 120 min. easy walk. Domas is a good guide and very informative. His focus is on religion and history.
A really unique touch having it start at a coffee shop, we did this in a really small and intimate group which allowed us to have lots of time during the tour to ask further questions and chat with the guide. We saw a LOT of things during the tour that we hadn't seen on any of the "lists of things to do" in the city, which I believe is purely down to the incredible knowledge of having a local guide who is so passionate about the city. There was a really good blend of covering the history of the city, and pointing out how this has shaped the city into what it is now. The guide was extremely informative and respectful when covering some of the more upsetting parts of the history and we found it extremely touching. Just a fantastic walking tour and a perfect way to start a trip to the city to find out some things that you otherwise wouldn't be able to see, find out, or read about online.
This walking tour was fabulous, so much history in and around this beautiful city. 'Domas' is a great tour leader with so much interesting local knowledge .. well done!
Fabulous tour for an introduction to Vilnius. The guide was amazing, so knowledgeable! Would highly recommend for people just arriving to the city!
Domas was our guide for the Morning Coffee Tour in Vilnius, he was body of knowledge, we learnt so much, Domas took us throughout the city explaining the different stages of history and what it entailed, we went off the beaten track which we would never have seen without our guide, we saw beautiful buildings, learnt some history, saw the beauty of a city that has been through so much and how it is now a very vibrant, educated, peaceful, mulitcultural, clean city. Not to be missed, we also had Domas for a tour of the KGB museum that same afternoon - again I would highly recommend. 5 Star from start to finish.
