The Lava Show in Vík was one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland. Seeing real, glowing, molten lava flowing right in front of our eyes was simply breathtaking and something we will remember for a lifetime. An incredible, unique experience that we would highly recommend to everyone! But what made this experience even more special was our wonderful Slovak guide, Peter. He was absolutely fantastic! His enthusiasm, passion, knowledge and friendly personality made the whole experience even more enjoyable. He explained everything in such an interesting and engaging way, and his genuine warmth made us feel very welcome.

The story that leads up to the show was very educational the lava is amazing Peter or host was fantastic
Very good show. Really good explanations by our presenter, Luis, very interesting and with good humor. Also very flexible, we had booking for 13:00 and he was happy to move us to 11:00, as we arrived earlier in Vik than we had expected.
Amazing experience, we only did this because our kids were hungry and we had a discount, anf it became a highlight of the trip. Luis, our Lava Master, was genuinely interested in Lava and Volcanoes, he was fun, charming and engaging. Not to mention my kids face when the real Lava appeared at 1100C! A+! 10/10!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a fantastic experience at the Lava Show in Iceland with Kings Leadership Academy, Warrington! Peter was brilliant, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He made the experience enjoyable and engaging for everyone, explaining everything clearly and making sure we all had a great time. Thank you, Peter, for making our visit so memorable. Your enthusiasm and excellent customer service really stood out. We would highly recommend the Lava Show to anyone visiting Iceland! Thank you from everyone at Kings Leadership Academy, Warrington!
Absolutely phenomenal experience! Luis, our host, made this experience excellent with his amazing expertise and welcoming approach.
Lava Master Peter taught us interesting facts about lava and Vík's evacuation plan amongst other things. Truly a unique experience not to be missed. Also grab a soup at the adjoint restaurant if you have time. Perfect combination.
It is a one-of-a-kind overall excellent experience. When do you get a chance to be this close to lava and learn so much about it, all in safe environment.
Learned a lot! Definitely worth it!
This was a last minute choice of something to do while in Vik,Iceland. There were six of our family that did the show and we all enjoyed it a great deal. Luis was a great host and shared so much knowledge. He has a great sense of humor and made the entire show fun. Highly recommend this show for anyone going out to Vik.
We all loved it, parents and kids. Definitely worth it. We learnt several things we didn’t and seeing the lava and how it “behaves” truly beautiful and interesting. Peter was knowledgeable while also funny, thanks for the great show!
Luis was a great facilitator and we learned a lot about lava and what makes Iceland so special. Was cool to see ann ice cave and lava in the same day! Surprised my family with this experience and they loved it.
Absolutely worth it! I wasn't sure I'd enjoy this show, but was trying impressed! Rico De Jong was EXCELLENT! Loved all the education and demonstrations! Been telling everyone about this!
40% of the show was watching a video. Not worth the money.
Fantastic experience, Niko was our show guide and he was incredible, very knowledgeable and funny! He really made the show the best it could be! Great team there too, shows are super organised and exactly what you book you get which is quite rare anymore. We definitely recommend to people passing through! The lava part is hot, which for some reason people were surprised about, but you never ever feel unsafe!
Andrew was a great presenter. He was informative, entertaining and seemed genuinely interested in lava and sharing that with the small group we were part of. Thank you!
A fun and educational experience by Luis! It was much more interesting than I expected, and it was a nice change of pace to have an indoor activity during our trip. It’s only about 50 minutes so worth fitting in.
If you need something to do inside that doesn't take a lot of your time, the Lava Show is the way to go. The guide was informative, you learn some interesting history, and the lava simulation is pretty cool.
It is quite well done and very interesting. We were going to visit the one In Reykjavík but were told that this one is better.
Loved aviator- was all that we expected it to be
This was a really good show. Of course, the best part was actually seeing and learning about lava and the way it behaves. Our presenter Luis was fantastic. He was highly knowledgeable and engaged the audience. Highly recommend.
Good experience and explanations of the show. Awesome performance 👍👍
Great experience. The live lava presentation is a unique experience and very educational. Very good presenter and heard about real life stories about the eruption.
A wonderfully unique experience! We went with our 3yr old and 8 yr old and both of them loved it. They shared a really interesting story about a survivor from the 1918 Katla eruption which happened to be the great grand father of one of the founders of the show. The rooms gets really hot, so keep that in mind if you are sensitive to heat.
Very good show and experience. Includes a brief history of Iceland’s volcanos. It can get hot inside the room as the melted lava comes down a ramp. Definitely recommend this one. Good job to our hostess.
It's amazing how they get the lava hot and play with it. It's just really cool. And you also learn about a volcanoes
We had a great time! Ann Sophie was a terrific narrator. Very informative and interesting. Highly recommended!
Interesting information for all ages. The entire family enjoyed the show. Small and intimate. It is amazing how hot the lava makes your skin.
We had a great time at the lava show! It was very entertaining and educational. So crazy to be in the presence of lava. Louis was a great show host, and was very kind. Definitely recommend getting tickets to the lava show!!
A must see if you’re in Iceland. The onsite as to how magma moves and hardens was eye opening. The heat is more than expected. Well executed show with lots of facts. Highly recommend
We really loved hearing the history behind the volcanos in Iceland and the learning that there is a chance Katla could go off again. Highly recommend this excursion before Katla ice cave. It really seemed to complement very well. We did the behind the scenes and it was fantastic to see the equipment necessary for the show. We also got one of the necklaces - just beautiful. Whole experience was awesome - great for kids - though we did not have any, but they seemed to be enjoying themselves a lot. We did like our event moderator - he loves the geology and stories - very compelling and enchanting!
The venue in Vik is the original one and is small so you get a great view. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable. The information was interesting and easily understandable. The show itself was very interesting. Our family all enjoyed it including our kids who were 14 and 11. The whole show was in English.
A truly unique experience. Where else can you see actual lava flowing in front of you. Our host was very informative and knowledgeable. The video explanation at the beginning was also excellent and gave us a good context for the Kala volcanic eruption in 1918. We even got to meet the guy who melts the lava. If you have time while visiting Vik, this is an experience you should not miss.
Great show! Ann Sophie was excellent and very informative . Loved seeing the lava it was really amazing .
This show delivered a clever snapshot of Icelandic volcanic history that will remain within a young child's imagination. The lava is the highlight of course, but it also serves as an effective medium for learning. I would highly recommend this show in the evening (there's something extra cool about emerging from the show at dusk) and also as early as possible in your trip, because it will help bring to life everything else that you see.
We also decided to check the lava show, I liked it very much! We had a day to enjoy Reykjavik and we decided to visit Perlan museum and lava show. It was great!
Annsophie presented our show and she did a wonderful job of showing us not just the lava, but the history of the area and even the science concerning lava. It was really interesting and it's done in a small group, so everyone can see. While we had seen lava in some cracks at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, we had never seen a larger quantity like this with it flowing. This is the closest most of us are ever to going to get to lava and it's pretty cool, so you should do it.

The young lady hosting the show was great. The video on the Volcanos in the vik area was quiet informative
It was a rainy day in Vik so we were looking for an indoor activity. The bad weather led to a great experience. The lava show with Luis was very educational and lots of fun. We may have missed it had the weather been nicer. My advice - Go, rain or shine.
This is the 2nd time we have seen the Lava Show. It is a great experience for young and old.
This was really really good. I didn't think it would be as informative and fun as it was. I learned a lot and it was really enjoyable.
Amazing experience!! Super fun for the entire family. Great for a chill day experience, but premium is not needed. A total memory maker!! Ian is a great guide, but everyone there is super friendly.
An experience not to be missed made even more memorable by Luis' humour and vast knowledge. Excellent birthday activity.
The show met my expectations. It was informative and exciting at the same time. What lifted the show even further above my expectations was the host Anne-Sofie. She truly was a great speaker, that managed to make us laugh while learning about the lava.
A very interesting show with a brilliant guide in Andrew. Great to hear more about the history of volcanoes on the island, and how they affect daily life. Seeing the lave up close is also fascinating, especially because he was explaining so much about it at the same time. Would definitely recommend.
This was such a cool and unique experience that can’t be recreated elsewhere. I was nervous that it was going to be overly touristy but it wasn’t. Quick fun facts about volcanoes and lava. Our host, Ann-Sophie, was phenomenal. She was energetic and funny and very very knowledgeable. Loved this experience!
Wow! So cool. From the start with our soup experience we knew it was going to be good. We got front row seats and we thoroughly enjoyed the stories of the surrounding area and to see the lava up close and feel the heat in the room was so cool.
Fun, informative and where else will you see Lava indoors??? Our guide Luis was knowledgeable and fun! We learned so much about Katla and the other Volcanoes here in Iceland. Would do it again!!
Simply excellent! Highly professional and informative, suitable for a wide range of ages. A must, if you are a tourist and wish to better understand what living in Iceland entails.
