The Viennese Waltz class was a highlight of our trip! Aga was an outstanding teacher, kind, professional, and encouraging. We really learned a lot and had a wonderful time.

We had an amazing time learning the Viennese waltz in a beautiful ballroom setting. The teacher Aga was so professional and complimentary to us even though we made lots of mistakes, for me that was perfect as it makes me want to continue learning. Dominic, the assistant teacher was such a perfect dancer & coach, his dancing was perfect and a great example for us. It was a really fun experience.
Simply extraordinary!!! I cannot say enough good about this lesson and would recommend it to anyone. Ag, our instructor, was so patient. While I am not the best dancer, I took away enough pointers that, with enough practice, I will be able to go onto the dance floor next time there is a Viennese waltz.. Thank you, Ag!!!
Awful experience. Would not recommend.
We are completely novice dancers so not very fit and not much experience. The studio where this is hosted is pretty warm so we were kinda sweaty and uncomfortable. The dance itself is only a few basic steps but there’s a lot more to it with your posture, your form, where to touch your partner, how far apart to be, etc. We were able to get a video at the end and I felt pretty accomplished — but it was a lot of work and not our favorite experience. The studio gives you access to videos and music for after your class.
A wonderful and personal experience - whether you’ve never danced as a couple or want to learn more about the waltz culture and work on your technique, it was perfect!
Aga and Alex were wonderfully supportive, patient and clear with our group of students. A wonderful experience for all.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Viennese waltz workshop led by Aga and her assistant Nico! Aga’s teaching philosophy and style makes learning Viennese waltz very accessible for anyone, regardless of one’s level of prior ballroom experience. Aga carefully guided us step by step (literally!) through the fundamentals and made sure that the learning process was fun and engaging for all. She continually provided encouragement and individualized attention to each couple throughout the workshop. We left the workshop eager to learn more and to stay connected through the “Waltz Club” online community, which anyone completing this workshop can join.
This is a unique introduction to Vienna's culture. My husband and I both have two left feet, and we've envied people who can dance gracefully. So I was sceptical when I signed up for this waltz lesson. It amazed us when we actually managed to dance to the iconic 'Blue Danube' at the end of the session, including performing some intimidating twirls. All the credit for this goes to Aga, who is a wonderful and patient teacher, breaking the routine down into simple steps which we could understand and follow. To then put that into action and dance was like going back in time and felt exhilarating. If you ever have the opportunity to try the Viennese waltz in its city of birth, go for it!
A great experience to learn the Viennese waltz in Vienna. Aga was a great teacher and the location made the whole experience even more special
Absolutely loved this. Very well organised and presented/taught in a lovely dance school/ballroom Hands on help, very well paced, wonderful music and a very good atmosphere. Felt like a very Viennese thing to do - excellent value and would highly recommend. It’s a warm work - layer dress if going in winter and T-shirt recommended!
Fantastic experience and a wonderful tutor. We very much enjoyed the session and gave us the buzz to want to explore the dance further.
While visiting Vienna, one must waltz! But not knowing how is a serious draw back. The dance school environment and patient instructor were perfect for getting us started, and dancing the Blue Danube.
My husband and I were super clumsy and the instructor was so kind to us. It was a wonderful beginner class.
Wonderful waltz lesson for beginners. My husband and I were very clumsy but the instructor didn’t make us feel awkward and uncoordinated. Great lessons!
This was a very enjoyable dance lesson. We danced with the people we came with. The teacher was precise in her instructions and at the end we were all dancing the authentic Viennese waltz in the clockwise direction.
Got a gift from our son that unfortunately bought a group lesson instead of private. They didn’t let us to make the lesson because not amateur. They didn’t accept to refund, they only proposed to use a credit for a private lesson that costed 3 times and when we were not in Vienna anymore. Unfare.
Nice studio. Needed to scout around a bit to find it. Good thing having Google Map. Was a group lesson having to start dancing the Vienna Walz starting with the right foot forward!! Not used to that starting with the left foot in the US dance studios. But we got used to the rather quickly.
We visited from New York and decided to take a basic Viennese Waltz dance workshop. Really superb, enjoyable and truly amazing. Aga, our dance instructor broke down the steps, easily to understand and follow. Aga is pbe in a million and we thank you a million for having us dancing half way o to the class.
Excellent instruction, suitable for beginners and those with little ballroom dance experience. Very friendly teacher, fluent in English and beautiful venue.
A really excellent experience. The lovely dance teacher took us novices through the basic steps and by the end we were all waltzing to the Blue Danube music of Strauss. There were 4 couples, I think it is a maximum of 5, so really personal.
It was great learning how to Waltz while in Vienna. The 50 minutes flew by. Aga made it seem very simple.
We highly recommend the Viennese Waltz Workshop. Aga is a fantastic teacher, expert, encouraging and very kind she made learning to waltz a magical experience in the lovely old Viennese dance studio.
An absolute must do if you have time in Vienna is the Viennese Waltz lesson with Aga. She takes you from zero to hero in a fun and easy learning environment in a traditional dance hall. There's no awkwardness even when you lose the timing or stand on your partner's feet.
Fun morning with my daughter. She came away being able to waltz around the room with easy. Very easy to follow instructions and friendly teacher.
Easy to find as had directions and photo via link from email. The teacher was excellent she broke the dance down into easy to learn steps and had the whole class (all ages and abilities) dancing the Viennese waltz by the end. A great way to spend an afternoon in Vienna for a fantastic price. Highly recommend.
Aga is a great insructor. We started one step at a time and by the end of the session we were dancing waltz. The dance floor is nicely polished and shiny, it makes feel like dancing.
Aga is a Magician!! She puts you at ease right away. And was able to make my husband and myself skim around the beautiful ballroom in less than an hour. Very relaxed atmosphere, and explained everything so well it has encouraged us to learn other dances. Thank you Aga for teaching us a new skill.
Aga was patient, friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, and graceful. She made the experience very pleasant and we ended up dancing the Waltz because with her help🥰
Aga was an amazing teacher. I loved the experience but my 2 left feet left my wife bruised …think we need another lesson, can we come back please?
Aga was an amazing waltz instructor. She was kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. We went from knowing nothing about waltzing to having a basic understanding of Viennese waltz within an hour. I’d be happy to take another class with Aga the next time I’m in Vienna to further develop our skill.
There were 4 couples who were definitely new to dancing and Aga guided us through the basic steps. By the end we were all capable of negotiating our way through a Viennese waltz. Aga was truly a professional instructor. The whole experience was extremely enjoyable and exhausting.
Professional and patient tutoring in a friendly and supportive environment. And yes it was fun. Be sure to check the address as Google sent us to the wrong side of the building.
We took a group of 90 choir students and family members to this waltz class. It was one of the highlights of our time in Vienna. Lots of laughter and smiles - everyone loved it. We'd highly recommend this class and school!
Aga is a clear, engaged, and talented instructor. She made us feel welcome and taught in such a way that we could follow easily. I felt a sense of accomplishment of having learned the basics of Waltz and want to continue learning. Overall, an excellent experience in Vienna that reminded me of series, Bridgeton with its own Waltz dancing!,
If this studio was closer, we'd be pros by now. Well, probably not, but still a fantastic teacher who explained it well for two fresh beginners. Great fun. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Has to be done such fun and Aga was really helpful and was very attentive to everyone. No age restrictions which is great
We had a fantastic hour learning to waltz. The ballroom was fabulous, it took me back to thinking about my grandparents and their evenings they must've enjoyed with friends. Ava, our instructor was excellent
This was a lovely fun experience. Was a bit nervous as absolute beginners but we were very quickly out at ease and had a great time. The hour flew by and the teaching was very clear. We were both amazed to find ourselves waltzing around the room by the end of it. Thoroughly recommend it!
Aga was great - made us feel very comfortable and gave great instruction. She really wanted us to succeed. Even went a little over time so we could experience a waltz at higher speed to test what we'd learned. Both my husband (who I didn't tell ahead of time what we were doing!) and I had a lot of fun. Highly recommend.
Amazing teacher! We had a great time - first timers to Waltz! The teacher made us feel very at ease and we would highly recommend!
We are an older couple that had dressed up very nicely for my birthday to do a dance - and the street the experience is on was packed full of tourists and could not be driven down. So we were about 5 min late and the door was locked. We called the number on the door, but the person could not contact Aga. Aga did text us back but refused to open the door. We could not rebook as my wife and I flew all the way from the USA and the next course was days our. We politely asked for a refund and we were refused. Aga refused to let us complain to her manager of give us her actual name. Therefore, this heartless woman ruined my birthday. While I understand that it is might would be nice to not interrupt the class, she could have easily opened the door in the time it took to text us rather than leave a couple in the cold and then treat them rudely.
Aga was a great and patient teacher who clearly is very passionate about her craft. She explained things beautifully and encouraged us. She made the whole class fun and inspirational.
Incredible dance lesson, very personalised and got 1-2-1 tips from the teacher. Able to waltz by the end and do so at the ball. Highly highly recommend!!!
A lovely venue, and an amazing teacher! My friend and I had never danced Waltz before, but picked up really quickly. It was a small group and the class was held in English, perfect for non-German speakers. It was an affordable price and very welcoming atmosphere. I definitely recommend to anyone living or stopping by in Vienna!
Good instructions on location. Walking distance from St Stepens. Great dance instructor and went over and beyond to help us understand how to Walz.
We all had a great time and learned to waltz!! Aga was very professional, cheerful and encouraging. I highly recommend this class.
An absolute must do for traveling to Vienna. The master instructor Aga was so skilled and fun. What an experience that could never be duplicated.
From non-dancers to dancing around the floor in 60minutes. It felt amazing and we will now take lessons at home in the UK to learn more and more ☺️
This was our favourite part of visiting Vienna! Aga was a lovely, inclusive teacher who really shared her passion for dance, and explained things very clearly - she told us about some of the traditions of the balls in Vienna, which was lovely and she's really made us want to continue learning this beautiful Waltz!
