With only a short time in Vienna it was great to spend an hour in this informative, fun experience. Led through different areas some with 3D/ 4D film, some animated portraits & statues and some narrated we learnt more about Vienna & Austria. From the Habsburg family, the plague, art, music, and wars all covered & translated into English with headphones we were given. A thoroughly good way to spend an hour. Only 4 stars for Guide as couldn’t get her to smile, we were 2nd to last group of the day, it may have been a long day.
So much fun. Really enjoyed the experience. Should have paid better attention to details about stairs and gone earlier when my knees didn’t already hurt. Wouldn’t miss no matter.
Interesting and different perspective on Vienna’s history. Could have had a smaller group as it seemed crowded as you moved from room to room but we enjoyed it and the way the history was presented.
Exceeded my expectations in every way. I learned so much. Highly recommmend. I will def visit it again next time I'm in Bienna. A lot of fun.
Absolutely marvellous!! Exceeded my expectations . Very informative & very enjoyable. Will definitely recommend. Lovely staff.
Excellent activity with lots of different rooms and fun way to learn about history - the VR glasses were a highlight
Great combination of walking tour, 4D, virtual reality and scène set-up to bring to life the most memorable évents of Vienna history. Famous members of the Habsbourg family, Mozart, Strauss and others present you their Times. The whole family loved it (including 6 and 9 years old). I recommendation, especially at the beginning of a trip to Vienna to get an overall picture!
A really great interactive experience. Would highly recommend if you’re looking to learn about the history about Vienna in a fun way.
5D cinema only 5 min compare to Barcelona ro show the history and date of each attraction build year in 5D the show was terrible and no good concept
My friends and I had a wonderful experience! Thankyou so much!
Great and interactive place for kids as a historical project.
What a great way to learn about the history of Vienna. Interactive and an all round fun experience. Had a great time and i would highly recommend A couple of blocks from St Stephens church
It is a different experience and take on history. It's fun and whimsical, and the trip leaves you still wanting more.
A great quick history lesson on Vienna and Austria. Great for kids, too. And the AC was welcome on a hot summer day. The staff was extremely kind and courteous. I highly recommend!
Good experience and fun way to hear about Vienna history. Can highly recommend and cool in heat of summer sun
Very bizarre attraction. Given everything Austria has to offer I can't understand why this rates so highly. We went purely on the basis of reviews here. You'd be better gping to some of the museums.
It was a good time with a variety of experiences however some ‘rooms’ felt rushed and we didn’t have time to read info placards. Good commentary on headset in own language synced well with exhibits. Raffael at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Combined ticket with Sisi’s amazing journey is a good idea.
Filled with fascinating information. Fun to watch. Highly recommended. Great for entire family. The time flies so fast, yet is a great experience.
Amazing, it's a must when in Vienna! It's fun for young and old, it's a different way of learning history. Just amazing.
This place needs an upgrade! The videos were cheesy. Not worth the money. Watch a YouTube on the royal family and that would suffice. I'm sorry for the rough review, but we all felt it was a waste of time and money.
Don’t have many complaints but I think a few films especially the first were to loud
Wonderful museum that takes you thru much of Vienna's history and making it fun! The 3D glasses/4D theatre truly brought things to life.
I was actually waiting for my city tour when I happened to discover this place. It was a great way to pass up time and how surprisingly enjoyable way it was to learn about Vienna! Just go! You’ll be amazed!
Very enjoyable and entertaining. Good way to spend an hour. Great use of different types of multimedia. Suitable for all ages
A great way to spend an hour. Very enjoyable and entertaining. Really good mix of multi media. Suitable for all ages.
Very interactive but first movie with 3d glasses I couldn’t follow as I had broken glasses and attendant wasn’t close, the show had begun when I noticed . I was told that manager wasn’t there so they didn’t do anything about it.
Having just finished a day visiting SchunBrunn palace in Vienna. I can safely say that if you intend to travel anywhere in Vienna by train or underground, you should be made aware of these facts first. 1. There are NO staff on the platforms anywhere. 2. When you buy a ticket for travel on the underground/railways in Vienna core the ticket is only valid for a total of 90 minutes. DO NOT validate a ticket in advance as you might as well throw it straight in the trash. 3. "Barrier Free" as Vienne Lien calls it means "We are trying to get there but have no idea what Barrier free actually means and do not care about disabled passengers at all, as we have not got a passenger assistance service of any kind". 4. Most trains have "Barrier free" access, which should be read as "If you are lucky a train with a wheelchair ramp will be along eventually". 5. Most (meaning the vast majority) of trains do not even have a guard/conductor on them. In one trains case, the driver had to out of the cab to come down to the rear of the train, to unlock the ramp for me to get onto and off the train. Me and my carer had to watch 5 trains pill out of "Vienne Mitt" (which by the way is their central hub in Vienna) which took over half an hour, before a train came along with the ability for me to get a mobility scooter on board. The lifts on to and from the platforms can support and fit most mobility chairs/scooters (excluding what UK calls class 3, or road legal). If there is a fault with a lift, then you had better hope that a. there is staff on duty at the ticket offices or b. that you can find someone who speaks your language and knows alternative routes. If you cannot find either of these, then good luck getting to where you need to go as SOS phones on the trains don't work and the SOS phones on the platforms are manned by German speaking people.
Located in the inner city centre which is very convenient to reach The event had some walking and sitting which was well Balanced the quality and visuals were excellent we would highly recommend
As this is our first time to Vienna we took the time travel to catch the entire history of this amazing city. Audio guides dub your language so you don't miss anything. Your live guide takes you from place to place and room to room. You first stand, door closes and you watch a screen, then plunge deep into the catacombs where you get immersed and guided through time. You are entertained all while learning from historical figures coming to life before your eyes via, video, audio, animatronics and VR with lots of motion. It was a great experience, we were a group of 4 adults and really enjoyed it. Enjoy!
I’ve had some really great experiences. This was okay. I probably wouldn’t recommend his to anyone who wanted a realistic experience.
This was a good experience to learn a little bit about the history of Austria. I enjoyed the different aspects of the event, like video, VR, hologram, wax figures and more. I would recommend for all ages.
I expected an educational experience, but the content was a series of gimmicks. I felt it’s a lost potential and they could do much better with the same resources. The tour is a series of eclectic episodes from the city history but not a comprehensive tour in the course of time as claimed to be.
The experience was fun and interactive. Only down side is that we were with a group of 6 kids that neither the parents or the guide could control . This caused issues when trying to listen to audio translations and ruined the immersion of the experience
One of the highlights of my Vienna city gateway. Some of the best 20 euros ever spent. Whoever invented this should give themselves a pat on the back!
About two weeks ago I brought three friends to this experience our first day in Vienna. Based on the description I was anticipating something similar to the Titanic experience in Belfast. Not even close. We were given headphones for English. My headphones would only kick in for the last 1/4 of each section. The tour leader was not able to do anything about it until the last section. I found it to be more of an experience for people wanting to do selfies, experience the multi media goggles and such. There was a lot of hype and wind blowing and flying around - but not really engaging content. Also there are a lot of stairs to traverse. There are so many people in each tour group that it’s a lot of standing and rather crowded. The concept is great, but the execution is lacking.
Did not really expect much but I was so surprised how wonderful the experience was. The multi-media presentations, history shared and humor made for a very fun time. Learned a bunch
It was a fun experience. The use of different media, video, 3D, goggles and everything made it real interesting. The history was good, content and presentations were fun. Much more than what expected.
I loved that they had the tour available in multiple languages and all the sound is activated in your headphones as soon as you walk into every room; my mom and I really enjoyed it and had a blast -- we loved the character journeys and we loved the immersive nature of it. It felt like an awesome summary of the history and culture of Vienna and a very unique way to experience it :)
One of the most fun experiences I have had! Interactive and very insightful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Vienna
Some parts were really interesting: the beginning is really promissing, all the walkable parts, WWII shelter as well. I felt discomfort with 5D experience. The idea was nice - to see and feel Vienna from rats or pigeons perspective. But moves, ups and downs were too speedy and very quickly I felt dizzy. Also the Vienna's history could be shown more linear and family tree of rulers was shown too quickly to follow.
One hour interactive trip through time using VR headsets and other technology. As a tourist who didn't know too much about Vienna's history it was a good overview and fun. Moved from one period to another smoothly. Under 10 School group went through at the same time. They were given the option of skipping some stages (Plague) some did most didn't. I guess it's down to the child (and gender it seemed) or also their imagination as it wasn't too graphic.
This is a multi media tour covering the history of Vienna with 3D cinema and VR headsets elements. It is situated in a side street in the centre of Vienna in a labyrinth of underground tunnels in the cellars. There is a WW2 air raid shelter experience too. If you have kids or teenagers they will likely love it as the kids in our group were very engaged... better than a walking tour for under 14s. Parts of it were very well done indeed and really interesting. Some of the wax work models were a bit basic, but lots of photo opportunities for those looking for Instagram moments.
Great experience and captivating for the whole family. Informative about the history of Vienna without being overwhelming.
We had a great experience, really enjoyed the mix of tehnology used to express the events, personalities and sensations.
This was a nice trip through history, informative and engaging. So many memories from it, but in particular - I'll never forget the rats :). No trouble getting tickets, either. I'd also recommend combining it with their Sisi's boat ride, which was just a lot of fun.
Surprisingly really good, well worth the money. Gave an insightful history of Vienna in different formats, always something to listen to or see.Great for all ages and entertaining. Staff on hand were friendly and helpful. Make use of the lockers in there as quite warm inside. Had a great time in there.
So it's day three in Austria for me and I decided to go see the time travel Vienna spot for fun; I was not disappointed AT ALL!! They have english translation with special headphones and a mini translation device they specifically give out for English and probably other languages too! I had fun here, as we were moving from place to place and finding new things to see whether through VR head gear or 5D glasses; I had such a blast!!
It’s an interesting immersive way to learn some of the history of Vienna. If you are photosensitive or claustrophobic I would avoid it though. There are flashing lights and lasers which can be quite irritating. It had a nice variation of animatronics, videos in a 4D cinema and music. There was an underground bunker you can go into to feel what it was like in an air raid which might not suit some. There was a lot to see. In particular I like the room with the royals - it was quite funny hearing them bickering among themselves. Overall - great fun!
2025- October I thought this was going to be just another fly-over Vienna 4D experience… boy, was I wrong! The whole experience took about an hour, and it was so much more than a simple show. You actually move through multiple themed rooms—each one offering a different sensory experience. It’s a fun and interactive way to learn about Vienna’s history! There’s also a gift shop, free-use lockers, clean restrooms, and even a green-screen photo area where you can dress up in costumes. The staff were all very polite and friendly. It was a lot of fun for both kids and adults. Highly recommended!
