The location was very convenient. St. Anne's church is beautiful and with great acoustics. The check in staff was very helpful especially in locating an available bathroom nearby. The performance by the quartet was very good but even though we were sitting close to the front, we could not see all of the performers. It would be helpful for them to be more elevated if possible. Overall it was very enjoyable and reasonably priced.

Itinerary
Dress to impress and make your way to the Annakirche (St. Anne's Church) in central Vienna by 8:00pm and take a seat inside one of the city's most beautiful baroque buildings. Depending on the evening, listen to an hourlong concert of selected works by Mozart, Beethoven, or Schubert. The music is played on period instruments, by renowned musicians studied at some of Europe's finest music academies. Take in the sounds of the live string quartet as they perform works by three masterful composers; each of whom lived and worked in Vienna during some point in their careers. At the end of the hour, make your way back from the church, having experienced something truly unique—chamber music played in the venue for which it was originally composed.

Of all the tours in Vienna, I picked this one due to the ease of selection and the shorter duration. After a full day of touring and cafe-hopping, I wanted to experience the music in a gorgeous setting but without too much fuss. The musicians were top notch and the setting was lovely. Although the pews have cushions, I recommend sitting in the chairs on the side as the wooden pews are not super comfortable.
We spent an hour touring the historic district number one of Vienna with a very knowledgeable and personal tour guide.
Great performance, one of the violinist was fantastic
Have not received an email for purchased tickets . Keith Horrocks khorrocks6@ gmail.com Interesting surroundings in the church. For my taste the music was played at a too fast tempo.
This is held in a very old and very pretty Catholic Church. The seats are pews so they aren’t the most comfortable, but there are additional seats available.
I was looking forward a concert in Vienna that played a variety of composers and this concert was fabulous! A quartet of 2 violins, cello, and viola played Mozart, Hayden, and Beethoven and even played an encore of Hayden!
Beautiful music in an amazing setting. A memorable experience. Really worth doing. The string quartet were fabulous Pews a bit uncomfortable. Side chairs better
Very lovely concert at St Anne’s Church. The players were excellent! Very good location as well. Highly recommend!
High-class musicians working together beautifully in dedication to the music. This was my second visit in three days -always a different quartet and programme. But consistently superb & thrilling
Get there early for seats up front. Church is small so not a bad seat in the church. Wonderful experience
Intimate setting in beautiful church Great acoustics, talented musicians Comfortable seating Loved the experience
Beautiful setting, lovely music in a small intimate baroque church. A little difficult to find, had to ask several directions, but worth it
This was a beautiful musical experience with really talented musicians. The little church was ornate and cozy and the acoustics were perfect. A great way to spend an evening!
It was a beautiful, peaceful hour and ten minutes. In an AI world, it was great to listen to classically trained musicians.
Higly skilled musicians.Incredible performance. Beautiful small church. Church seats uncomfortable.
Listening to this beautiful classical quartet in the setting of this amazing church was delightful. Such talented musicians!
Joyful and beautiful music from the quartet and a beautiful location for a concert playing Mozart and Schubert.
Absolutely beautiful setting and intimate concert of four amazing professional artists. The music was subservient from this wonderful string quartet.
The setting was lovely and the musicians were accomplished. We enjoyed an evening of wonderful music.
Haydn, Mozart & Mendelson. Did not recognize any of the selections, but musicians were quite good. Church setting was beautiful.
The organists left much to be desired. While their performance as a duo on Liszt's Les Preludes was commendable and nice, the rendition of Bach's Prelude and Fugue in a minor, BWV 543 by one of them left much to be desired. The prelude contains passages of rapid notes in succession, which he absolutely ruined trying to show virtuosity by playing with abnormally high speed (like a maniac). The notes were unintelligible, a bad tangle hard to listen to. He completely killed the music and took all the enjoyment and appreciation out of it. During the fugue, which was played with acceptable speed, there was a continuous change of keyboards and stop sets, which were a real distraction and made it difficult and unpleasant to follow the movements of the subject and countersubject along the piece. There was an alternance of soft and hard pitches, playing the electronic console in a rather wanton manner, which ended up turning the fugue into a collage, rather than a coherent, solid set, which this piece is. My highest expectation from the program was precisely BWV 543, and it was my biggest disappointment. A magnificent piece was actually reduced to a show of organ voices jumping around and a very poor performance overall. These organists are sorely mistaken if they think that this mode of playing is acceptable, appropriate or even enjoyable. The organ is not a toy, and should not be used in this manner If Bach himself had attended this performance, he would have run out of the church screaming at the top of his lungs. There were a few more pieces included in the program, but I did not stay to listen to them, I could expect anything better after having listened to the bad rendition of BWV 543.
Fantastic classical concert in beautiful St Anne’s Church! Performance was works from Mozart and Beethoven. Excellent musicians!
A wonderful intimate music experience in Vienna in the most beautiful surrounds. A short concert of 70 minutes left my non musical and interested husband wanting more and coming away agreeing it was well worth the time and money !
Front row was full more than 30 minutes before concert started. The music is great no matter where you sit; but prob won’t be able to the 4 musicians.
Very beautiful and relaxing experience!
The church is hardly visible as you walk along the street. But once inside, it is so beautiful! Gold accents abound, and the blue marble is stunning! The ceiling fresco dates back to the 1750s. The Æon Quartet played just three works--Haydn, Mozart, and Mendelsohn--and then an encore. The concert lasted 1.25 hours. The music was beautifully performed. And the church was a beautiful setting.
Beautiful church, intelligent selection of musical pieces. Talented musicians, very dedicated. Enjoyed very much.
A well played preformance by the quartet in the small and beautiful church of St. Anne :) Would recommend to others
My wife and I attended a concert in St. Anne’s Church during our trip to Vienna. The church is a sumptuous sanctuary and a wonderful setting for a classical concert. It was an enjoyable evening.
A very accessable incredibly beautiful ornate church which added to the atmosphere of the concert. The musicians played with passion which was wonderful to hear especially as they were pieces of music I was unfamiliar with.
A wonderful evening and one of the highlights of our visit to Vienna. The concert took place in the beautiful St. Anne’s Church, and the setting alone made the experience unforgettable. The church’s intimate atmosphere and stunning architecture provided the perfect backdrop for the performance. The string quartet was outstanding, performing a wonderful selection of works by Mozart, Vivaldi, and other great composers with exceptional skill and passion. The acoustics in the church were excellent, allowing every note to resonate beautifully. The tickets were also very reasonably priced, making this an incredible value for such a high-quality performance in such a spectacular venue. Whether you’re a classical music enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable evening in Vienna, I would highly recommend this concert.
Musicians were top notch. Music choices were lovely, relaxing intricate and most enjoyable. The venue was perfect! Well worth the $ and time.
Very hot and chairs were very uncomfortable but music was tremendous but seating was difficult and the church was beautiful.
Great experience! Wonderful musicians!
Excellent musicianship. The setting and the sound throughout makes no difference where you sit. It’s an easy and enjoyable moment away from your hotel.
Quartet was lovely. Very talented musicians and the church venue was intimate and gave the concert a different feel. Get there early if you want to sit in the front rows.
Fabulous venue. Excellent musicians playing some of history's greatest compositions. I can't think of 16 more characters.
Beautiful experience! Well worth it! The church was so pretty inside. The musicians were spectacular! Nice respite from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Musicians were very talented
Beautifully performed classical chamber music (string quartet). Wonderful acoustics in a church setting.
Wonderful experience but difficult to find the venue with Apple Maps
Wonderful string quartet concert of Mozart and Beethoven. Small venue setting in a beautiful and ornate church. Made it feel very personal. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to hear some classical music without paying a high price.
Excellent music i’m a fabulous setting
Concert and venue were terrific. Good value.
Music was amazing! Very seasoned orchestra. But the vision was poor. If you are in the back you can see the standing performers (if that). Otherwise, lovely and worth it simply because the orchestra is amazing and the sights from the church are beautiful! Also the staff is friendly and progressional. Maybe put the orchestra on a stand for better sight for those in the back.
Arrive early as there is unallocated seating if you want to be near the front. The quartet used 18th century instruments. Acoustics suited the music of Mozart, Haydon and Beethoven.
Get there early as it fills up. We got there at 7:20 for an 8:00 performance. Seating is first come first served
The musicians use historic instruments, which were explained by the leader. Very much enjoyed by a receptive audience.
Thoroughly enjoyable chamber music in a lovely setting. Good musicians, nice choice of material. Suggest they bring in a raised platform to play on so people further back can see.
