Vienna Walking Tour With Audioguide On Your Smartphone

I was too distracted by humans to focus much on the audio. having said that the audio and map were well-thought-out, the voice was terrific and clear, and the information was wonderful.

Our original tour was canceled so we booked this. We loved being able to take our time and check out the places we were interested in. I think we walked about 4 hours. Great tour and will do again!

Just like before, didn't regret choosing the audio guide from these guys. It went beyond city history and facts about famous composers, showing places in the city that you'd likely never know about. But the main vibe is still the same as you would expect from the beautiful Vienna.

Loved that we could accomplish this over 2 days and that everyone was able to move at the pace best for them. Got to cover so many sights!

Awesome way to see the city on your own time. You can stop and start whenever you want and walking directions were very clear. Make sure you follow the directions to download the tour for best results. Cons are that there is no ability to ask questions and get local tid bits of info like you can with a live guide

I wanted to enjoy Vienna at my own pace and be able to stop and start where I felt like. I found this tour very informative but didn't overload me with information. It took me about 2.5hrs to complete in total. It included a mixture of historical sites but also culturally significant ones.

Had to restart the app every stop as it didn’t know where we were. No directions included in the commentary. Gave up after 12 stops. Rubbish especially when compared to other apps I have used.

This was a great informative tour but a little too long in our opinion. It was nice to go at our own pace but cut out the last few stops due to aching legs.

Great concept. App navigation could be better (constantly having to re-orient the map) was a nuisance but I’d use it again in another city.

I purchased this tour as I didn’t want to be part of a large group walking around. It was a perfect way to orient ourselves around Vienna city. The instructions on how to download the map were easy to follow. The map provided and the little picture icons made it easy to get from one location to another. Excellent that you can take a pause at any time if you need to have a rest or a coffee break at any of the amazing coffee houses. The information and history at each of the points were interesting. The major points of interest were included. After reading other reviews about the 7 km circuit and because my husband’s knee was sore, we paused the tour at stop 20 and then continued the tour the next morning.

It’s easier to use than it may first seem to be. It included most of the famous sites in central Vienna.

Well narrated & interesting details. The digital updating map with red line & us as a blue dot were easier than expected to follow. And fun. We also appreciate the freedom to pause & look more or have a coffee. Next want to try the food tour.

This well-crafted tour hits most every highlight in the center of historic Vienna. It was relatively easy to follow (sometimes the signs weren't as clear at the site, or GPS was wonky). We split it into two different days. It was a very effective way to gain an overview of the city!

A brilliant way to walk around Vienna at your own pace ..able to stop and start when you wish. Very informative. And a terrific learning experience..very much recommend to anyone

Personally, I loved this walking tour audio guide because I was able to go at my own pace. I like to take a lot of pictures and sometimes I’ll see something along the tour that I will want to stop and spend more time at and this tour allowed me to do that perfectly! I also was able to stop at different cafés along the way instead of just passing along in front.

Really enjoyed the app. We usually just wander around cities and find places of interest on our own, this was much better. While we had points of interest planned for us, with an interesting audio guide, we were not forced to keep to any schedule or keeping with a group (like many guided walking groups we saw). It would be helpful if the app had a directional pointer instead of just a blue dot with your location, but it all worked out. I would say that we didn't follow the numeric sequence all the time, in fact we did reverse order due to our hotel location. Again, easy to work with after gaining familiarity with the app.

There is a lot to see. We were here for two days and didn't get through the whole tour. We did however stop along the way rest and to have snacks. Helpful tip, you don't have to do the tour in order. The only change that I would like to see is instead of a blue dot for your location have a directional arrow.

Probably the best way to enjoy Vienna. This tour will take you to some of the highlights in Vienna. There is so much to see and talk about that there are some buildings and structures that are not being mentioned. But this is because you can tell a story about any building in Vienna. History is around every corner and this well (self) guided tour takes you to the hotspots. Good story telling and the fact that you can stop, sit or shop in between makes it really convenient. It is a 6.1 km walk so make sure you have walking shoes on! Love it, like it and will recommend it to anyone that would like to see Vienna in a day!

This was really enjoyable. Because it’s an audio tour and there was no personal guide, my family and I really enjoyed the flexibility. The tour gave is us the overall view of places to visit and explore more thoroughly.

A very nice walk and good comments per location of around 2 minutes. Total time takes about 3+ hours doing all. Download and activation took some time though, around 10 minutes.

Save your money A hop on hop off bus gives you a free walking tour. This tour didn't work properly even though I'd downloaded it. Utterly useless. I gave up on it

First, you have to understand that you only get an audio guide when you buy the tour. Second, that you have to walk nearly 7km to complete it. I knew both these points, but was disappointed in the way that the last few locations were near the beginning point of the tour, which meant nearly 1km of extra walking. In my opinion, these should have been covered initially, and the tour could have ended at another spot. For example, start near Stephansplatz metro, like it does now, and end near Karlsplatz metro. The audio content itself is very good. However, some of the spots are difficult to identify since they are small or have poor signage. The included in the app is not very good, and you may need to use another map alongside to get to the correct locations.

The app was a bit tricky to understand at first when it came to finding each location on the map. But once we figured it out, the tour offered a great walking experience through the city of Vienna, complete with historical context and interesting facts. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in self-guided tours and exploring the city on foot. I even used it again in another city during our travels. Additionally if there is a group of you, you can see each other with the location function.

It’s was very intriguing and showed us all the hidden gems. Thoroughly enjoyed would have like some kind of map which will take us to the next place

We had never been to Vienna, and we were jet lagged when we started the tour. The narration app worked perfectly and included little interesting tidbits about the sights. When we got too tired, we picked up and finished the next day. For someone who wants comprehensive information, this might not be enough, but we enjoyed it.

Audio guides are very nice due to the fact that you can walk at your own pace, have a snack stop where you want, or even split the walk in two days, as we have done. The Vienna audio guide has shown us several places we would never have noticed on our own and told several hilarious stories in the meantime. I definitely recommend.

Useless , instructions not clear, more advertise not easy to use, not value for money. Please do not go for this

We really enjoyed this tour. It’s a great way to explore without bringing rushed , getting to stop when ever we felt like it. Y with teens who enjoyed this experience also. I think we are now self touring converts!

St. Stephen's Cathedral was a highlight. Excellent detail that told not only the history but the mystique of the building.

Easy to use the app. Narratives were detailed and map was easy to follow to all the points. Really take two days to do this one.

Far too complicated to set up on my iPhone. Instructions very unclear. Worked for 5 sites then stopped and could not reload or set up again. Can I have my 10€ back?

Well it was impossible to get the tour onto the app So had to buy it again in the tour app ………,,,,,,,,,,…………

I visited all 29 sites in the app and thought the tour excellent. The narration was good as were the directions. For $5 the tour was a cost effective and fun way to get introduced to the city.

Used this app for second time. Worked pretty fine for Vienna, because attractions here located in rather dispersed way, so you need to walk around and actually find some of them (like 5-6 km even in city center to cover stuff). In short, it was very helpful because of geographical reality. You need some guidance. Points texts are informative and comfortable to listen (annoying voices in AGs are my endless pain! this one is ok), I guess one can get more from live guide, but cmon 5 euro here, so value win any alive guy by x10! Only minor issue -- I wanted bit more info on some political and military topics, but its seems matter of taste. Audio guides rarely include it everywhere.

This is a great way to see the city, learn some history and see the sights!!! It is cheaper on touring bee app and much easier to use there. Difficult to transfer from trip advisor to touring bee!!

This was a great tour but you have to know that it takes a lot longer than couple of hours. It’s a good introduction to Vienna.

The content is good, but it follows a route that is not always the one you are following due to proximity to your starting point. And "freely walking" makes you stop for other distinct things.

Very difficult to start the tour, useless meeting point, we should be able to start at any number. The application does not follow our route, difficult to see if we are going in the right direction…

Overall good with great information, but the location function was very inaccurate and at times Google had to be used in parallel. Additionally, I initially had difficulties starting the tour / did not know which app was additionally needed for it...

The time is quite sporty. If you want to look on the side , please schedule half a day.

You can see a lot of places but there are still plenty missing. Very good visit but not complete.
