A fascinating and informative tour of Vienna taking us to spots we would never have seen on our own. Herbert was entertaining and engaging throughout. I would thoroughly recommend this walk to anyone interested in Vienna.

All guided tours in Vienna take you more or less to the same places and tell you more all less the same stories with the same boring style. We think we had enough this time!
We could not find the meeting point so easily, so we were delayed and had to catch up later on the way. The guide gave recommendations but in general he was talking about battles and other info that we would forget in a day, it was unnecessary. We prefer a more modern approach when visiting places.
This tour took us to several hidden gems but it was a bit too much for my taste. Can feel overloaded for a first time visitor. Think twice before you book.
My friend and I joined Herbert on this very informative and fun tour this afternoon. The tour started on time, and he was easy to find in a very busy location. He will point out buildings and streets and other landmarks that you would never have noticed without his knowledge. He definitely took us in back alleys and streets that we wouldn't have found ourselves. Herbert is the guy to give you ins and outs of Vienna. He knew so much and was also able to give us recommendations along the way for out-of-the-way dining experiences, coffee shops, and other lesser-known sites to visit. We learned so much, and Herbert has a great way of interacting with his guests. This was our second tour in two days with Herbert, and I wish we were staying longer to take his other ones. Adult groups and older teens will love this.
Hidden beauties, authentic stories and fun. History, architecture, life in the city, insights and insider tips. Real value.
Herbert is an excellent guide who did, indeed, show us many interesting secrets, backyards and mysterious locations. He corrected various pieces of false or incomplete information that we'd seen online, and pointed out a lot of items we never would have noticed or understood on our own. For instance, watch for concrete pillars at the corners of buildings—they served as bumpers to keep carriages from hitting the buildings. Herbert honored our tour reservation even though it was only the two of us, which we really appreciated. His tour was very enjoyable, and we learned a lot.
My son and I had a lovely time. Our guide was very friendly and informative. Would certainly recommend!
Herbert was super friendly and very knowledgeable. The tour covered a wide range of topics and time periods throughout Vienna's history. Was a lovely way to spend a few hours.
The guide was very informative and engaging. It was a great way to learn about Bienna. Certainly one of the highlights of our Vienna visit.
Really excellent tour. Guide is really knowledgeable. Pointed out stuff that we would have walked past without noticing. Avoided the crowded parts. Walk is suitable for most ages, but less interesting for younger children, not too many steps and not too long a walk. What we really appreciated was that although only two of us were on the tour, it didn't get cancelled.
Fredianio took myself & my cousin all around ‘back street Vienna’. He had a lot of knowledge of architectural styles and era’s. We got on famously as we had a shared interest. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience
Great tour of offbeat locations within walking distance of St Stephen’s offering great insights into Viennese culture and history. Our guide Herbert was excellent.
It's a great overview of Vienna. I recommend to anyone on their first visit to get a feel for the city. Great history lesson. The guide really knows the area. Restaurant and food recommendations were spot on for us. We went back the following days to all the things we wanted to see.
Would highly recommend this walking tour. Herbert was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable on the history of Vienna. Very enjoyable experience.
We truly enjoyed our 2-1/2 hour walking tour today with Herbert and his dry sense of humor. We had already been in Vienna for 3 days and he showed us spots we had walked by many times and missed! I really liked the historical photos and maps he showed us on his tablet.
The Guide was familiar withh so many details and his historical and local knowldege was excellent. We enjoyed very much
We met our guide Herbert in St. Stephen’s Square and from the first few moments we began to learn about the history of Vienna. He had many images that were really helpful in imagining how old Vienna looked. I won’t tell you about what we saw as that will ruin the tour. We did learn about several things that we had walked by several times and had no idea of the significance. We learned about history, traditional foods, Mozart and WWII. We had lots of questions and all were answered along the way. We also stopped for a minute to say hi to the President of Austria as he passed by. I would certainly recommend this tour to anyone interested in the less touristy spots in central Vienna.

We enjoyed this excursion and our guide pointed out little known areas and hidden treasures, making it memorable and a great addition to our time in Vienna. We had walked right past an underground treasurer in the metro stop near St. Peter's Church! I don't want to give too much away! If you are interested in seeing more than the traditional tourist stops, make sure to book this tour.

Herbert was a super guide who told and showed a lot of interesting things about Vienna and the spots. Highly recommended. Thank you so much!
We were lucky enough to be bad with the 2 of us in the tour. So basically a private guide. Vell fun facts about life in Vienna in early times. How people lived in this beautiful city back then. Despite the hustle and bustle of the many tourists, they soon walked into the back streets where many memories of Vienna's history can still be found. Everything is very clear to follow English. We were very satisfied.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unforgettable Vienna tour with Herbert – our best guide! We were very lucky to be able to experience Vienna with Herbert as our guide – and what can we say: Just fantastic! Herbert is not only incredibly professional, but also has an impressive knowledge of the history of Vienna, which he conveys with a lot of humor and enthusiasm. We especially loved the fact that he led us through Vienna on secret routes – off the beaten track. So we discovered places we would never have found on our own! He also gave us plenty of exciting tips and information for many other sights – perfect for getting to know Vienna even better. A huge thank you, dear Herbert! We can highly recommend this tour – for us the best guide you could wish for! 🙏👏
Super informative and exciting city tour, which offers valuable ideas for an authentic and successful stay with insider tips from the local Herbert. Definitely preferable to the large, commercial city tours!
Eine sehr interessante, informative Tour, die wir immer wieder machen würden ! Absolut empfehlenswert
We spontaneously booked the (English) tour via TripAdvisor and were very enthusiastic. It was very informative, you could follow well both in terms of content and in running and you could tell Herbert really knows.
Very interesting tour. Nice, humorous guide. The tour is worth every cent and highly recommended! Note: Bring time, we were traveling over 2h.:-)
Extremely informative and entertaining! As natives of Vienna, we have discovered many new facets of our hometown.
We were lucky enough to witness a guided city tour in Vienna with Mr Stojaspal. The guide was on time, openly responded to our wishes and taught us the secrets of the backyards and around Mozart. A tour of 3 hours, on foot - around St. Stephen's Cathedral. Mr. Stojaspal knew how to enchant us 7 participants with incredible knowledge and "Vienna vilification". We can recommend a tour with him at any time. Mr. Stojaspal, who is 71 years old but wanders the streets like a 50-year-old, we still wish many tours and too curious tourists like us. Keep it up!!
Es war eine tolle Führung mit Dorothea. Sie hat uns Orte und Dinge in Wien gezeigt, die wir alleine nie gefunden hätten. Die englische Führung war auch für nicht native Speaker sehr gut zu verstehen. Vielen Dank.
Very informative and humorous guided tour off the main routes. Very good underlay with photos on the tray. Very good and accentuated pronunciation and always perfectly understandable.
Anyone lucky enough to explore Vienna with Mr. Stojaspal not only learns something, but is picked up by the warm and slightly cunning nature of the guide. With a lot of wit and knowledge he made it a really recommendable experience for us. Thanks again at this point and Servus:)
Very informative in a humorous way and not only history but also information about Viennese culture
We really liked the tour. You see a lot of things that I'm sure you'd miss as you pass by. Gladly we recommend them without restriction!!! Greetings from Cologne. PS: The cathedral in Cologne is actually called “Hohe Domkirche Sankt Peter” :)
An expert guide who led us to places we couldn't have found on our own. He also passed on his knowledge in an entertaining way.
A very nice guided tour of Vienna, away from the tourist flows. With special insights into the backyards that you might otherwise pass.
...I would recommend. Herbert did a great job. Could pass on much to the city of Vienna and its extraordinary places. It was a lot of fun.
Informative and entertaining tour. Description of the tour also matches. Well done and highly recommended
Was a very interesting, versatile and personal tour. We are happy to recommend. PS: Free tip with Viennese fountain water what very welcome! MERCI
We had seen the tour in our City Pass and decided to do it for that reason. It was definitely the right decision. Although it was cold and rainy, the guide made a great tour and led us partly away from large tourist streams. We were in Vienna for the first time and for us everything was new, but even the Viennese who participated in the tour did not know much. Accordingly, a nice tour with valuable tips. The small downer was the fact that we had already come to a tour the Friday before and were rejected as it was too crowded. This was certainly true in itself, but a note on the Website that the tour is fully booked would have been desirable.
Quite a great tour - we have already undertaken a lot ourselves, but the corners, courtyards and churches we were not allowed to see as part of the tour were all not allowed to discover themselves. A great tip for those who want to experience Vienna "off the beaten track". Thank you for an exciting two hours!
Very good, concise, interesting and coherent short info about the undiscovered, secluded Platzerln in the city centre of Vienna, framed by very well and understandably presented historical contexts with significance for the present. Highly recommended and especially beautiful!
Super nice Vienna guide and much experienced and seen. Thank you again. Thanks for this super fun trip through Vienna.
Mr Stojaspal was booked for our company event (with 15 people) - the handling was totally uncomplicated and fast. The tour was very nice and interesting, there were no boring moments. From us there is a clear recommendation!!!
Yesterday we experienced anything but a boring city tour in the great spring weather in the Innstadt in Vienna. The two hours went by like in a flash. Mr. Stojaspal packs a lot of interesting facts into entertaining anecdotes and shows hidden places and backyards. We will definitely take the second lead as well and we are really looking forward to it. Thanks for the entertaining afternoon.
We had booked a guided tour "Vienna introduces itself to II backyards and mysterious places". There we had a very nice guide Mr. Stojaspal, he told us many interesting details about the city and drew our attention to special details that you would not normally notice. He led us through small alleys and backyards where you wouldn't normally go and gave us many tips about the city. We would recommend this tour to anyone interested in getting to know Vienna better!
It was very educational. Although I know Vienna very well, but I have never been to these places and would not have found these places without this tour. Very well explained and very informative. We will also book more tours with Mr Stojaspal and I am looking forward to it. Highly recommended !!!
