Step by step instructions are very clear, the adventure is very well organized and I learned a few things with the descriptions.

Itinerary
St Rupert’s Church is 13 centuries-old and is made from stone taken from an ancient Roman settlement. Home to the oldest stained-glass window and the oldest bells in Vienna, the church is dedicated to St. Rupert of Salzburg, the patron saint of the Danube's salt merchants. Though the church went through several renovations, one window, which depicts Christ on the cross with the Madonna and Child standing below, has been standing since the 13th century in the vaulted apse. The church houses a series of atmospheric concerts of ancient music in the summertime, with evening performances in July. Here you will have to look around to find the answer to a question to advance to the new location and learn the story of this cafe. It's fun. You will love it:)
The tavern Griechenbeisl is one iconic musical landmark, because Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert dined here at one point. You could check out the framed signatures of the famous persons who have been served in this place by visiting the Mark Twain room (celebrities also include Luciano Pavarotti and Johnny Cash). Situated near the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, the restaurant is one of the oldest in Vienna and got its name (‘Greek Inn’) from the Greek tradesmen and the Levant travelers who settled in that area. Here you will have to look around to find the answer to a question/challenge/puzzle to advance to the new location and learn the story of this place.
One peculiar and incredibly old mural to check out can be found on Bäckerstrasse, a street with charming interior courtyards. In the 15th century, many houses presented religious and historic portraiture, but some were decorated with humorous imagery. Found on the façade of the Hasenaus (“Hare House”), the mural shows a wolf and a cow that wears spectacles playing a game of backgammon. Some say the scene is actually part of a previous painting depicting medieval life, while others think that the mural is an allegory for the conflict between Protestants and Catholics.
The Bäckerstrasse has beautiful 17th and 18th century façades, such as No. 2, surmounted by a 17th-century tower, No. 8, Palace of Count Seilern (1722) and No. 16, At number 7 the "Schwanenfeld Haus", with a beautiful Renaissance courtyard, with its arcades and galleries.
You will get to this place by following a clue and solving a puzzle. Once there, you will get indications on how to continue the game, while also learning about the place you've discovered.
Probably extremely intriguing at first sight, the legendary Nails Tree Vienna (Stock im Eisen), located on the corner of Karntner Strasse, has once been thought to be the work of Satan. In reality, the hundreds of nails that have been stuck into the tree’s trunk over the course of generations pertain to a tradition: hammering nails into the tree was believed to bring good luck. The mid-section of this Medieval tree trunk stands on a 1.5-meter high pedestal and is surrounded by an iron ring with a lock dummy. You will get to this place by following a clue and solving a puzzle. Once here, you can spend as much time as you wish until starting to follow the next clue.
An iconic landmark of Vienna, St. Stephen’s Cathedral (Stephansdom) has been standing since the 12th century and it’s one of the most important Gothic buildings in Austria. The tower room, which offers a breathtaking view of Vienna, includes 13 bells. You’ll be amazed by the colourful roof, which is 38m high and is made of 230,000 glazed tiles that form various patterns. The mosaics showcase the image of a double-headed eagle, which was the symbol of the Austrian empire during Habsburgs’ rule. The other two eagles, on the north side of the roof, each carry coats of arms that represent the City of Vienna and the Republic of Austria. Here you will have to look around to find the answer to a question/challenge/puzzle to advance to the new location and learn the story of this place.
A stop at Café Frauenhuber on Rauhensteingasse will give you a taste of the Viennese coffeehouse culture. Besides being the oldest coffeehouse in Vienna (dating back to 1746), this welcoming and unpretentious place is also known for having had W.A. Mozart and L. van Beethoven play table music for the dining guests several times between 1782–1791. With a past reputation of one of the most peaceful coffeehouses in Vienna, Frauenhuber still preserves the atmosphere of a traditional Viennese coffee shop.
With over 50,000 drawings and over 1 million master prints on a rotational display, the Albertina Museum has been part of the history and culture of Vienna since 1805. Situated in the largest Habsburg residential palace, Hofburg Palace, the Albertina displays four collections, dedicated to modern art, graphic art, architecture, and photography. Notable works of art include paintings and sculptures from different artistic currents: Impressionism, Fauvism, German Expressionism and Russian avant-garde. Visiting one of Austria’s most popular museums allows you to see Monet’s The Water Lily Pond, and to experience the luxury of the imperial Habsburgs as well. Here you will have to look around to find the answer to a question/challenge/puzzle to advance to the new location and learn the story of this place.
The current home and workplace of the President of Austria, the Hofburg Palace has been the heart of power in Vienna since the 13th century. As a former residence and seat of government of the Habsburg emperors until 1918, the palace still reflects the Imperial past through its richly decorated Imperial apartments (a total of 24 rooms), the Sisi Museum (dedicated to Empress Elizabeth), and the lavish silver collections. The National Library can also be found in the Hofburg Palace. Built in the 19th century, the Hall of Ceremonies continues to be used nowadays for Viennese balls. Here you will have to look around to find the answer to a question/challenge/puzzle to advance to the new location and learn the story of this place. This is where the city game ends and you can continue exploring the city at your own pace.

Storyline was clever way to wander and see parts of the city not on other tours. And time to dig deeper into locations as self paced. Tour reminded me to look up when in these old cities to see details and things hidden in plain site.
It was a fun way of wandering around the city and getting a snippet of its history. Doing something interactive was fun too
My wife and our teenage daughter did the quest together. It was a lot of fun and we saw areas of the city we might not have visited otherwise. What was especially fun was getting distracted and finding new things to visit along the way.
Was a great way to explore and sightsee the city while getting some good steps in! I have been to Vienna many times but first time doing a quest so it was good fun with a friend who has never been!
Great way to see the city and see hidden gems I would have never known about! Me and my friend did it and it was a great afternoon activity
Warning: require connectivity to work even though it has the download option. Otherwise, the path is around historical points in Vienna and great for all.
Lots of fun. Although we could never find the guy with the raised cup of beer. Also if you want to stop and have coffee at the coffee shop where Mozart drank, you need a reservation.
Clues are not visible because of many factors like Christmas market, don't exist anymore... It's not enjoyable during the rainy day... Some things are on German so you have to translate them to understand what's required...
We really enjoyed wandering around, following clues to discover medieval artifacts that we would not see otherwise on a regular tour. We travelled through back streets that we would not have discovered on our own. It was fun.
A good way to see the city sights but I was hoping for more history facts and information. I should have read the description better, I don't think I would have booked.
I loved the concept but in reality it just didn’t work. At a check point the hint wasn’t there. It was just a bit naff so gave up half way
Me and my friend have been visiting Vienna several times. However, thanks to this outdoor escape room, we were able to discover beatiful sposts we have never seen! Tha game is really well done, funny,a perfect way to wander through a city. Me and my friends really liked it, we will be doing other escape rooms for sure. Also, my friend had a problem with the payment, and the customer service was super fast and solved everything in two minutes. Really recommended!
Nice way to see an interesting part of the city. There are Interesting historical facts weaved into the story. The maps were helpful as well.
It was a great Trip through the City without too many tourists along the way. My wife, who lived in Vienna for several years, saw some spots she never knew before.
A fun way to see the city! We liked this because we were not beholden to a group or tour guide, as we had our toddler with us whose moods can be unpredictable. Really fun way to see some areas we might have otherwise overlooked.
We really enjoyed the story and the quest. It is a great setup that told us an interesting story. The game is easy to use and lots of fun
Great way to see the city and learn the history of the streets you’re walking! Absolutely recommend this for all ages!
Try this engaging and informative way to see the city! It's a good opportunity to see sights in the form of a game.
What a fun way of getting to know a new city! We will definitely be trying to find quests every time we travel to some place new
Really enjoyable, a great way to find out about a city in your own time. Very interesting clues with a great storyline. Probably better to do it in the daylight as it can be difficult to see statue inscriptions after dusk.
Super affordable and a very fun and unique way to tour the city. You can go at your own pace, which is great when you have kids in tow, and you don’t have to go inside anywhere if you don’t want to and have Covid concerns.
A great game, a nice story. I thought, I knew Vienna, but we checked out some places I've never been before...
had a fun time walking around vienna like i've never done before. although i live here, i have seen a few places i#ve never been before.
It was such an interesting experience, great combination of history and adventure. Adds a fun dimension to exploring the city and definitely going to be how I discover cities.
Great adventure :) Had much fun and many interesting facts. Nice handling and no problems. Thank you :)
It was nice. But way too expensive!! The game was too easy But the places seen were nice. Maybe its more for children, but this should be stated in the description.
We saw so many things we would never have looked for! Along the way we were able to see so many of the places that were on our list in a fun, surprising and sometimes magical way! I love history so finding all these gems was amazing and very memorable. It made me feel less like a tourist and more like an adventurer. Go on this tour. It might be the best part of your trip! Easy to use and great for actual kids, not just big kids like me!
A fantastic experience! an amazing way to discover the city! I made it with one of my friend that was living in Vienna, she did not know all these places! I went in January 2020 (the date was not available on the drop down menu)
This was a great way to explore Vienna. An interesting story taught us about the history, we went to places we otherwise wouldn’t have visited and we had a lot of fun finding the answers to the questions.
Nice activity, we spent an amazing afternoon with kids exploring the city in a different way and witha different perspective
We thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour of medieval Vienna. As a small group, this activity was the perfect mix of historical places, local tidbits, fun details, and navigation challenge. I admit to consulting google maps more than once as some of the hints were not clear to us immediately. Would recommend to others and do it again.
I did the Quest in the centre of Vienna - and it was fun. Also for me, as a born Viennese. Some things I knew, others were new. But all in all an entertaining time and worth the money. I will certainly try a Quset again.
This was a great way to see Vienna! I have been to Vienna so many times before, but we were looking for something cheap to do, instead of just walking around the same streets as usual. We found new places, hidden passages and learnt a lot about Vienna in the middle ages! It was a great story about Augustin, even my Austrian boyfriend learnt a lot about the city and its past too! Highly recommend! Tip: invite other players before you reach the first location, as the internet connection isn’t so great there!
Very interessant way to discover the city. Not too complicate and you'll see things you never thought without a guide.
Very good tour where we went by places we never would have found on our own. A perfect way to se some of the city in your own pace. I am definitely doing this again in a different city next time I travel.
We pass a quite nice morning doing a tour following the activity tracks. We saw something different out of Sisi and expensive coffe. Congratulations we had a lot of fun.
I highly recommend this tour. You are independent, but not lost, the instructions are very clear and you get the chance to discover some nice places. I would suggest starting it in the first part of the day; the story leads you to charming Vienna corners and landmarks. You will need some time to wander the streets, take photos, stop for a coffee or lunch and visit some nearby attractions. At the end of the day, you will want more and you will start browsing the app for other destinations and adventures. Looking forward to using it in other cities! :)
we did this last week and enjoyed it hugely. It's a great way to see and learn about the city. Very well made, I will use questo in other city breaks for sure
A different and funny way to visit Vienna. The tour it's like a peddy paper. The app gives you clues so you can find iconic places in vienna and tells you the story or curiosity of that place. It mentions some important streets, paintings, sentences, people and tarvens/restaurants in the history of Vienna. I will definitely try the app in the next city I'll visit.
This was a wonderful experience, we saw historical place we would never have known about. The stories were interesting and the children loved solving the clues. We want to do all the quests in the cities we visit.
We were visiting Vienna as part of a Viking river cruise. We had done the Viking shore excursion tour of the city to catch the major tourist attractions, but wanted to spend the rest of our day seeing Vienna through a different lens. Questo provided that opportunity and we thoroughly enjoyed our quest!
This was a very nice tour with interesting riddles. We had a lot of fun and learned something more about Vienna, even as Viennese. ;-) We can really recommend this tour as it also worked very well on the smart-phone.
Visiting Vienna with a group of friends, we didn't feel like hopping on one of these tourist hop-on hop-off buses. Instead, we downloaded Questo and played the game on medieval Vienna. It was a nice and special way to get more information about the city, and it's hidden past, and it took us to places we would have never visited on a regular tour. I'd definitely recommend it to everyone who wants to see the city in a playful way and in a different light
a beautiful course in the heart of the old town with well-constructed puzzles and a fun history
A tour of the city centre and the opportunity to discover hidden things. There were four of us and ed was fun. The tour is also for people who already know Vienna (somewhat).
Discover Vienna on other paths. Small pieces of jewellery off the beaten track with a learning effect.
Nice games to discover the city but which remains very simple in terms of puzzles. About 4K covered The story is ok...not fantastic with teenagers
