I booked this experience for my parents. Yue was quick to answer my questions and my parents had a tour that they loved. I can highly recommend.

Our experience with our tour guide was exceptional from start to finish. She was warm, friendly, and deeply professional throughout the entire tour. What stood out most was her impressive flexibility and willingness to accommodate us. Halfway through our whirlwind European tour, we found ourselves in the oasis of Vienna, and, for 2.5 hours, in the very pleasant company of Yue. Well-versed in all things Vienna, Yue's familiarity with the city was augmented by her deep understanding of broader European history and the pivotal role Austria has played. Quick with a smile and a laugh, Yue was just as equally blessed with an eye for a unique photo or two, highlighting clever angles, and volunteering to take group photos of our little party as we toured the city. It's a rare thing in the hustle and bustle of touristing, to find such a relaxing opportunity to experience history and to absorb beauty. Yue made that possible.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Vienna Highlight tour with Yue. She is a seasoned guide who knows exactly how to pace the narrative of the city and it's highlights during the two-hour walking tour. She's witty, funny, and she even gives away prizes for those who actively listen and respond to pop quiz questions correctly. Don't worry, she allows multiple attempts to receive some local goodies. Aside from the heat in Wien today, the tour was exceptional. Yue also had good suggestions for us following the tour using her itinerary posted on her tour group's site. We enjoyed all recommendations, including local fare for lunch, dessert and afternoon coffee. Would highly recommend.

A highlight on my last trip to Vienna was a visit to the old Vienna University of Economics and Business (Alte WU Wien) Augasse 2-6 1090 Alsergrund. Next tot he subway station Spittelau. Here is the European biggest mosaic from this century, created by Helmut Leherb. The good thing is you can visit this university for free. Its open to the public. Here you can admire 6 continents displayed of 6 walls each reaching 8 x 8 meters. This piece should be in a museum but I guess most museums don’t have the place for this. I think it’s a hidden treasure for people that visit Vienna and want to do something out of the ordinary.

Yue did a great job showing us round the historic centre of Vienna. She had lots of amusing stories and the time flew by.

Our tour guide, Yue, was amazing. She was punctual, joyful, and very knowledgeable. We learned a lot of history in detail throughout the tour. She explained how the sites we visited were related to one another, so we understand the big picture of how and why things happened. We enjoyed it so much that we booked another tour (Schonbrunn Palace tour) with her! She also provided us with recommended places to check out and restaurant to try at the end of the tour. In our Schonbrunn Palace tour, Yue provided excellent description of what was going on in every room that we went through during the tour. She described the names, personalities, situations of each room in detail including the relationships among the palace residence, and happily explain any questions we had. We were so glad to have her as our tour guide.

Yue was very friendly (and funny) as a host.. her stories and descriptions were amazing, and would likely remain with us forever.. we were also able to cover key historical elements in a short while..

Vienna Highlight Tour met our expectations. Our tour guide, Yu, was very good, not outstanding. She did take us to the major city tourist highlights with some historical notes. We especially enjoyed the Habsburg stories, viewing the winter palace, and seeing at a distance the Lipizzan Horses.

Yue gave us a great tour. We had been here a week and walked past many sites not knowing significance, but Yue’s knowledge was both informative and entertaining! We would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to know the in’s and outs of Vienna. What an enjoyable tour we had with Yue, she is so full of energy and packed with wonderful information and her laughter alone made could have made our day!! There were just four of us on the tour so it was pretty much a private tour and despite the bad weather we had a wonderful time experiencing Vienna's Highlights with this delightful woman. I could not believe how much we saw and learned in our two hours. While there are other tours that are less expensive this is WELL worth the few extra dollars you will spend to get the attention and experience from this amazing woman!

She can speak three languages: English,German,Chinese . She had been working in tourism business for a very long time not only in Vienna but also in China and USA. This tour was very informative and provided an excellent overview of Vienna’s major highlights. The guide Yue Mayr was very knowledgeable.

My plans changed, so I scheduled this tour at the last minute. When I realized I was the only one booked this particular morning, I tried to back out, thinking the guide probably had better things to do than walk around for 2 hours, telling one person about Vienna. But she assured me it was fine and that she was happy to give me her tour. I'm so glad she did! Yue (Joy) was excellent. She explained the history of the city, and how it was reflected in the architecture and artwork. She never got bogged down in "textbook-like facts," though--her delightful sense of humor was light and entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed our time together.

If you want to really understand a city, why a building looks a certain way, why one is next to the other, why that open space is where it is and who put it there as well as to the historical and political events that shaped the world we live in today, walking tours are the best way to do it. This one is no different, a fantastic afternoon had in great company with Yue! Knowledgeable and accomodating throughout, a bespoke tailor-made experience that we won't forget. Highly recommend!

My husband and I had such a wonderful time! Yue’s husband had joined to take photos, and we were lucky enough to be the only persons in the group (as hospitality has not yet fully reopened in Austria yet) so it ultimately felt like being shown around the city by good friends, and very knowledgeable friends at that! Where to start?? The tour was informative and fun, full of lots of tips to make the most out of a stay in Vienna. I loved the architectural details and my husband loved the politics, we both loved the stories! It really helped to tie together and place in time the famous names associated with this beautiful city. Yue has great enthusiasm for the history and culture of Vienna and clearly loves this city. Having only recently moved here ourselves during lockdown, we feel like our eyes have been reopened and we are excited all over again to discover more. It was by far the best day we have spent in Vienna so far! I should also say, I’m 6 months pregnant and it was a hot sunny day, Yue made sure I was always comfortable and that we took seated breaks when necessary. It was very manageable for me and I would heartily recommend this tour to anyone. (Covid note - Yue provided test results beforehand and we took a printout of ours from the day before so we were all comfortable)

We participated in Yay Walk and did not expect anything in particular - were just looking forward to a regular walking tour - and boy, we were pleasantly surprised! The tour was amazing - full of history, beautiful architecture and most of all a tour guide who was really happy, funny, excited and, most importantly, made us laugh even in the rain. Even on a sunny day with clear skies, we have never experienced such an exciting, happy, motivating, and inspiring tour! It was raining for half of the time, but we actually didn't feel the bad weather at all because our guide was like sunshine to us and was shining all along the way! At some point, she actually involved part of our group in a role play with historical characters, we were in the main courtyard of the Hofburg and acting as royals - it was hilarious! I don't know what our stay in Vienna would have been like without the Yay Walk - probably just sitting in a coffeehouse and waiting for the rain to stop. It's even worth while traveling to Vienna just to experience this tour - it is that amazing! Lifting up our heart and spirits! It would be wonderful if there were such Yay Walks in other cities, as well. Sightseeing would then be not just interesting, but also really entertaining!
