Vienna Guided Food Tour With 7 Food Tastings & A Secret Dish

We had a fantastic time on this tour. Our guide, Elisaveta, was charming and upbeat and very informative. She obviously loves Vienna and its food and is happy to share her enthusiasm. We had the perfect amount of food at every stop (we were full by the end but not disgustingly bloated) and they were even able to accommodate my pescatarian wife. Elisaveta was also fluent in English so communication was no issue for our group which was mostly from the US. This was a great way to experience Vienna and some of its culinary history and traditions.

Elisabeth was an excellent tour guide and showed a ton of enthusiasm! Her picks were great, giving all of us a well rounded view of Austrian food. Would highly recommend this tour.

I originally booked the food tour for 2pm. Was charged, and then notified that the time I had selected was not an available tour and that I would be refunded. Ok, not the worst thing. So I rebooked for 2:30, for which i was charged again. All seemed fine. I received my ticket and information for meeting point and activities. Only after walking around and trying to find the meeting spot, arriving on time, and searching for my tour provider and group, was I messaged that the tour at 2:30 had ALSO been cancelled. I was only able to be in Vienna for a day. This was a huge inconvenience and waste of time and money. I’ve been charged 2x now and am waiting for my refunds. Not good.

We had a great time with Elisaveta as our tour guide. She was full of knowledge and great company, and even though our group was small, she kept the conversation going and the atmosphere positive. The food was good and the locations were nice, but they were all close together, so we saw very little of the city. Walking a bit further between stops, with more stories about Vienna's history along the way, would have made the tour even better. One thing to be aware of is that at most stops we shared dishes, eating from the same plate or splitting the same cake, which isn’t for everybody, but we came together as a group of four so it was okay for us. The portions were also a bit small for our preferences and we weren’t full after the tour, which was frustrating given the price.

I highly recommend this food tour! My favorite were the Viennese open-faced sandwiches on rye bread, but everything was delicious. Elizaveta took care of my food preferences and ordered me a special dessert since I don’t eat chocolate! I really enjoyed learning about Vienna from her. So much better than the historian we had on our city tour!

We loved our food tour. We had such a great experience exploring the foods in Vienna. Our guide, Elena, was incredible. She was very knowledgeable about the city and the foods we were trying and her sense of humor kept us all entertained. By the time we were done, we had fully hearts and full bellies. We did this food tour in October. It was a small group of us two guests and our guide Elfi and it was excellent! We had the full package with drinks which I also recommend. The meeting point was convenient in stephensplatz and the tour was 2.5-3.5 hours. The highlights include the schnitzel, the goulash, and the sausage. It was a good way to see some of the key inner city locations without walking too far. Overall a excellent tour thanks to our lovely guide!
