Only half an hour or so to see Sisi’s story, good use of audio headset in own language for first half. VR headset for second half ride was heavy but effective. Glad we did it but value for money? Not sure…

Pushing my mid 60’s, I have never used a virtual reality device before and being techno phobic was rather apprehensive however I found this attraction very enjoyable. I did not think it too expensive for what it was and found the experience of “sitting” with Sisi in the boat quite charming
It's worth it if you're a fan of Sisi, or if you appreciate her story. The virtual tour part is very well done. The boat trip is quite realistic... I recommend.
During our first visit to Vienna, we tried several attractions, but I truly recommend this wonderful experience with the VR headset and virtual reality. We were visiting as a family and we really enjoyed this great experience, especially the children. I would like to especially thank Linda for her warm welcome and kindness. We will definitely come back next time !
This was our first time to Vienna and learning about the beloved "Sisi". We had taken the Travel through Time Vienna Ride, just across the street where she was first introduced via an animatronic. If you do the combo ticket this comes second (recommended). Watch a movie with headphones dubbed in your language then board a small boat and be guided by none other than "Sisi" herself through VR. We were a group of 4 adults and thoroughly enjoyed it . Enjoy!
I generally never felt as involved as in this VR journey! I liked the effects and the immersion I felt in Sisi's story!!1000/10!!! Recommend it if you have ADHD and if you are a parent!
We went to Sisi's Amazing Journey right after the Time Travel. We didn't expect to see a story so depressing and hopeless. They say Sisi was loved by the people; we thought the attraction would tell us why; but no – we were told instead how unhappy she was for the while life, after she married Franz Joseph. She longed for freedom and never got it. First the movie tells this story, and then the VR boat trip solidifies this feeling of imprisonment, unhappiness and lost hope. The VR part is technically impressive, I can't deny that, but we all got motion sick because of too many sudden moves. I do not recommend visiting this part (although Time Travel itself is amazing is highly recommended).
The cinema bit was very quick, content was ok, but as we had a person with us with mobility issues it was annoying to get him down the stairs to watch a 5 minute film to then have to climb the stairs again. We then had to get him into a small "boat" which was not dissimilar to climbing into an actual boat for the drop down which he struggled with. The VR was ok but as you went on water, into a palace and flew it didn't make sense that you were sat in a actual boat shape the whole time and maybe a time capsule would have been best and then would have been more accessible for less mobile people.
We got a combination ticket for both this and Time Travel Vienna, and we enjoyed the time travel part better. It gave a good overview of Vienna and its history, where this one was focused more on Sisi and not much else. We'd recommended going to see the Time Travel exhibit, but unless you really want to spend more time with Sisi, you could skip this one.
A personal visit with Sissi. Very entertaining and informative. Good graphics and sound. Well recommended Don't miss it.
Interesting and informative and fun for all the family. Through this tour you learn about the history of Vienna and also the important places there.
The film was really informative and gave us a good understanding of Sisi. The boat journey was great fun and altogether an excellent attraction that we felt was better than Vienna time travel across the road.
Loved this. Using the virtual reality goggles you travel through viennas underground canals, with Sisi. Then into the ball rooms. Look everywhere and you see everything to furniture, people, etc
It was amazing! My parents were speechless. It is a really nice introduction to the life of Sissi. The animations were done professionally and the staff was really friendly. I would defined to again therr
Unexpectedly amazing. It was honestly a lot of fun and genuinely interesting. I would absolutely reccomend it. The VR was a lot of fun
It was a very frustrating and quite lame experience. Horrible entry experience. An overcrowded lobby right with people trying to take off and store rain gear in tight space. The name of the place, written in English, gives the impression it caters to English speakers. We enter a mini theatre for a short documentary film. About 3 minutes into the German speaking film, I got up, exited the theatre, and had to go the the front desk to see if there was translation available. The attendant, looking annoyed, walked back toward the theatre and grabbed headsets for us. Nothing was mentioned about their need or availability beforehand. Knowing nothing about Sisi, we pretty much discovered her claim to fame was her fitness routine, preoccupation with fashion/her looks, and that she spent most her time avoiding her role by traveling. It appears She was assassinated during one such abdication of duty. Next came the VR boat ride that again had me tracking down an attendant for English gear. Again, provided begrudgingly and looking annoyed. The “boat ride” had relatively nothing to do with history or any meaningful info about Sisis life. Just an oohing and ahhing actress in a low cut dress sitting in front of you talking about nothing important. Sorry we wasted 45 minutes here.
We would not recommend this attraction. Non German speakers are poorly catered for. We were given goggles that were supposed to be in English and they both didn't work. We then used the German speaking goggles and had no idea what was going on. Poor value for money.
Amazing, we had a combo ticket with Time Travel Vienna, my 7 years old daughter loved both activities, and wanted to do Sissi one more time. Recommended, will come back!
The internet promised the tour was available in English and German, but only the VR portion was offered in English. The 20 minute historical movie at the beginning was in German with no subtitles. All of the interesting historical information was in that film. I know some German, but only got about 50%. The VR part was pretty lame, very little dialogue or facts, mostly just a busty Sisi oohing and aahing in a sewer. There was some cool aerial footage over Vienna, but that was the only part of value. Would not recommend to non-fluent German speakers.
My 6 and 3 years old girls didn’t really love it … to much scary the skeletons scene :P Overall it was a kool experience combined with some historical knowledge , I’ll repeat if it was the case 😊
Loved this attraction. Virtual reality experience was incredible. Staff very friendly. Followed this by visiting the Time travel experience across the road as well. An exciting way to learn about the history of Vienna and the Royal Family.
Nothing exciting. There is a video “ explaining” Sissi’s life that didn’t say anything important. It didn’t almost talk about the history of that time or of what Sissi actually did. Everything was very shallow, except for her diets, that were treated with very much detail but weren’t interesting. The “mysterious tour” through time guided by sissi was of very low quality. Also, some things just didn’t make sense. The only thing I liked was the view from the VR of Vienna from above, but still it had nothing to do with Sissi’s life (but still it’s my favorite thing…).
Informative movie, friendly staff, good basic idea, but the VR experience was a bit irritating and kinda disappointing
Excellent 20 minute video telling Sisi’s story and impressive Virtual Reality ride. VR is well utilised and the flying over Vienna offers a great perspective of the city. Definitely worth the €5 add on to the Time Travel ticket.
few years ago, me and my husband visited "Time Travel Vienna", which was great by the way. So we thought, give "Sisi's amazing Journey* a go.... Save your money! The Movie was the best part. The 3D-"experience" in the rocking boat was very poor. The VR glasses fogged up pretty quick, the "Sisi"-Character was annoying (keeps saying "es ist so schön", meaning "it' so beautiful" in every sentence and the journey itself was some sort of fantasy ride combeined with some kind of history. a boatride only in the underground canals might have been interessting, but those flying experiences seemed kind of strange in the context of Sisi's life and what we learend from the movie. Sorry, to say that, but invest your money at "TimeTravelVienna" (just on the other side of the street, and I guess, the same company) and spend a few bucks at the Prater, or on the Donauturm, there you'll also a great few from above.
We expected a bit more history about Sissi. What is offered is very well done but for our taste a bit too little and too short.
Super Alex! Best guide!👏💪
A truly exciting experience that I personally recommend doing if you are in Vienna! Even though there are so many wonderful things in Vienna!
Super nice experience. Nicely set up Worth watching and doing
Interactive without relevant facts.
Very promising but we're still on our way. The documentary at the beginning and very interesting but after the film in VR (untranslated) and unconstructive and brings nothing about Sisi’s life
Great experience! Both in terms of content and VR implementation
What a surprise. What a little gem of an experience. A fantastic story about a brave woman who was way ahead of her time. You need max 1 hour to make this little museum. Time well spent.
Just great... especially the boat trip we really liked...
The 15-minute film about Sisi at the beginning was informative and we liked it. But we were disappointed by the boat trip with the virtuality glasses. The picture quality was blurred and the story a bit strange. The entrance area with the wardrobe boxes is far too narrow. All in all, we would not recommend Sisi's Amazing Journey. But the staff was very friendly.
We had the combined ticket with Time Traveling. We had a different expectation of Sisi and were therefore somewhat disappointed. It was a fictional journey that had nothing to do with Sisi per se. Nevertheless, it is technically well done and amusing.
Great program, really entertaining, interesting and funny. An experience! Also recommended for children, story interestingly told.
Cool in conjunction with the Time travel it can recommend 1000% if you are a huge Sissi fan and history fan. Overall a unique experience for everyone. Sissi was beautiful and fully likeable, you really had the feeling you really ride with her in the underground corridors under Vienna.
a great VR tour, but the quality of the film could be better. Was partially blurred. The glasses are also a bit heavy. Not so suitable for small heads. Otherwise, the idea and the story are very good.
Very friendly Welcoming of the hostesses although we had great difficulty in making ourselves understood because we speak little German or English. Well-designed tour with two distinct parts: a film recounting Sisi’s life and an experience with virtual headsets with Sisi. The big disappointment was for this last activity because there was no possibility to have an audio guide in French.
Very interesting, 4D scenes, not suitable with young children, a bit of fear, or with people with difficulty walking
In relation to the time travel big difference. In the beginning you see a documentary quite interesting. The VR had nothing to do with Sissi nor do with her appearance.I also caught nausea. The girls in the cashier perfectly.
It was very interesting. Virtually sisi talked to you and it was very interesting the boat trip is not wild. Personally, I always feel equally sick, but I didn't get sick here. Highly recommended for sissi fans. Little info about sissi but nice.
We had the combined ticket with the Time Travel. Sisis was the first time we've been to. It's great with the cinema room where you watch a short movie first! The highlight was the boat trip with the VR glasses! A really great experience, we will definitely come back when we are in Vienna!
Unfortunately, the tour was rather disappointing. Mediocre actors, mediocre picture quality, poor costumes, not very well-prepared specialists in the cinema film shown at the beginning (repeated glance at notes); not very substantial screening; sometimes “cringe” performance and forced scary effects.
Was fun, interesting and exciting at the same time. Very educational. Is recommended to anyone interested in the history of Austria.
Landed in the English language VR demonstration with my children, so unfortunately neither understood anything. When I said this after the employee, she just said succinctly that she had asked before. Maybe that was before we got to the boat from the film screening, at least nobody asked us if we wanted to hear English or German. Obviously it wasn't written to either. If guests were given an extra minute to orient themselves or pointed out at the end of the screening where the English or German VR screenings were taking place, such an "experience" could easily be avoided. Overall very disappointing, especially the reaction of the employee.
Wonderful event, great technology, entertaining and fast boat ride in the underworld of Vienna. Always happy!
Plus: Good performance, a bit of third man and a pleasure to fly over the city. Minus: Booking tickets online is extremely botched. (On the tickets sent it says "this is not a ticket)". Could it be better?...
The "amazing" journey is divided into two parts. The first half involves sitting in a small cinema and watching a TV documentary about Sisi. You don't really need to go to Vienna for a documentary like this. The second part is a VR journey through the underground. The effect is quite nice, hence 2 out of 5 points. But you don't learn anything and therefore it's unnecessary. The price-performance ratio just doesn't match here. The staff are fantastic, by the way, it's not YOUR fault!
