The tour was good and I like voice map in general. However, I recommend doing this tour earlier in the day if possible. I did it on a Friday afternoon in early September and that was a poor choice on my part. The streets are so crowded with people you could hardly move or focus on the tour. Honestly, with my AirPods in, I had trouble hearing the tour because of how loud street traffic was and how loud all of the obnoxious tourists around you are. Be prepared for huge crowds almost everywhere along this route. Otherwise, Vienna is beautiful and you see some beautiful sites.

Itinerary
The tour takes you on a wandering walk beginning at the Vienna State Opera House and ending with a dramatic and fun-filled lap around the city's crown jewel - the Stephansdom. Start the tour in the app, put your phone in your pocket, and let your guide direct you through the streets. The total walking distance is approximately 1km and takes about an hour without stopping, but you can pause anytime! Most people will opt to stop for a Würstelstand snack or for photography opportunities along the way. The narration is crisply mastered by a professional audio engineering staff, and the tour integrates sound effects and music to create an engaging experience that is suitable for all ages that can wear ear buds. Key landmarks include: • Vienna State Opera House • Albertina Art Museum • Monument Against War and Fascism • Capuchin Church • St. Stephan's Cathedral The exact route can be seen upon downloading the tour or previewed in the app, and it works offline. Audio from the tour can be listened to anytime.
The famous Opera House in the 'City of Music' is a tremendous source of pride to the Viennese, and has hosted countless classical luminaries.
Hear the somber story behind this hallowed site in Vienna, and discover the meaning behind the statues before you.
The Stephansdom is the crown jewel of the city. We'll do a full lap and take in her best stories.
The Capuchin church originally built in the early 1600's is the home to the imperial crypt containing the hearts of the Hapsburg dynasty and a variety of rich tales I'll share with you on the tour.

We couldn’t get it to work. Linked to Maps on phone but that kept saying we weren’t at the start when we were. The start seemed to keep moving by a couple of metres from where we were standing so gave up in the end
This tour was worth the money. I only had an afternoon in Vienna and it covered the highlights. It also allowed me to spend more time at places I found particularly interesting.
A good introduction to Vienna. Could have covered a wider area but was still a great kick off point at an affordable price ..,
Interesting and informative at the same time! Loved the self-paces nature of it too. It was a great guide to wandering the city with some stories about what was around us. One minor flaw - we were charged twice for this - once through trip advisor and once through viator.
Easy to use app and direction guide worked very well. Interesting information and was helpful given my short time in Vienna.
I bought this to listen to on my first day. We didn't get round to it until day 3. It was fabulous. GPS is clever. The talker was intimate and we learnt things that no bus tour could compare to. My feet tire easily and I wondered how long I'd last but the hour went by effortlessly and I wanted more. I wish I could turn back time and listen to the tour on day 1 then I would have appreciated Vienna, in its historical context, much more. For me, it injected the enchantment that I hoped Vienna would be. Best part of visit in an otherwise clean, beautiful but not too friendly city.
Great way to see a different view of the city and at our own pace, giving us chance to stop for breaks. Presented very well. So good we downloaded another tour and certainly plan to use in other cities.
I had just a little trouble connecting to the app but once I got it working it was really great. Very accurate geo tracking and interesting commentary. I would highly recommend this!
We very much enjoyed the The Heart of Vienna audio tour. The instructions were clear, as was the fascinating commentary. This is a great way to learn about a city. Shame the tour wasn't longer.
Great intro to Vienna. The walking tour hits some highlights of Vienna in an easy to hear format. Kudos to the slick technology as the GPS embedded part of the tour makes it effortless to walk and follow the narration. Recommend highly
What a fabulous app and a great idea. It worked perfectly for us though you had to patient at times as the app caught up with the GPS signal. The walk was not too long and Alex gave us lots of interesting facts not found in our guide book. Highly recommend
I was very excited to be able to go out on my own and enjoy the sites at my own pace but downloading the information took too long. The internet service at the cafe I was at was very slow and very iritating.
My daughter and I really enjoyed following the informative and interesting commentary around Vienna, which pointed out things we would not otherwise have seen. A good way to orientate yourself around the Innerestadt and good value for money.
Myself and my teenager downloaded this as we had 1 day in Vienna and it seemed like a cheap and easy way to get as much out of the experience as we could without breaking the bank. Our plan was to verbally relay the information to my husband who doesn’t have a smartphone. We started off at a canter at the Opera House But I don’t know if it was the crowds forcing us to detour, or our inexperience, but we kept getting lost and got constant reminders from the app that we weren’t where we were meant to be. One of the areas with a description (Donner Fountain?) seems to have been demolished but that’s not the apps fault and it was kind of fun hearing what should have been there! By the time we got to the last attraction we were excellent at finding what was being point out by Alex in our ears and it was hugely enjoyable! I do wish we had been better at the start though - and whilst we understand that not everything could be included, it could have easily been a lot longer
This was our first use of audio tours, and it was easy. Great way to lose yourself in the city with an informative and interesting tour.
Four of used this tour which we enjoyed as it provided an interesting and entertaining tour around many sight in Vienna that we had not paid too much attention to in the past. The technology was fun to used but the GPS did sometimes seem to lose track of precisely where we were (perhaps because of tall buildings) and therefore we had to try to re-synchronise a few times.
Insightful tour of central Vienna. Simple process to download to the app and it intuitively follows you as you walk through the area. Allows you to take as much time as you want for photos, stop for meal, etc. Inexpensive and a great choice.
My husband and I have actually done this audio tour twice, we liked it so much! The first time was in January 2018, the second time we were in Vienna with my mother-in-law and brother-in-law in November 2018. We felt it was good enough to do again. The tour is self paced and uses GPS to trigger the next section with detailed directions. The tour points out both famous landmarks in the city as well as smaller useful cultural items you might have missed, like the käsekrainer stand. The tour is professionally recorded with accompanying music and sound bites. It’s engaging, and we enjoyed it enough to recommend it to all our friends visiting Vienna.
My wife and I really enjoyed this walking tour of central Vienna. We did not want a long intensive tour in a big group so I downloaded this on the app store on our iPhones. We used our own earphones. It was perfect - just the right amount of interesting and amusing information for newcomers to the city. We were happy to walk around for an hour just listening. There were so many things we would have missed that Alex (the guide) pointed out as we were walking. The best thing was we could go at our own pace, stop and continue e.g. after a coffee stop - or even next day - and also listen to anything again if needed. The system uses the phone GPS and the guide starts talking as you arrive at each place. Occasionally the GPS 'lost' our position and we did have to fiddle with the screen menu and click some items manually. Overall we both highly recommend this Voicemap and we will be using the same app in future in other places.
This tour was good value and very informative. It was generally easy to follow although it did cut out a few times.
I couldn't do the tour, I couldn't find where to get the tour and much less get the headphones, no one showed up to direct us at all.
Clean, aristocratic, green city. It allows you to do many cultural and fun activities. Easy to get around by public transport. Too bad I didn't try the bikes.
Very interesting audio tour with a lot of correct information. Good instructions via the app so you don't have to keep looking at your phone. The nice thing is that you can do this tour at your own pace.
We thought it was great . Highly recommended if you want to have your own pace and time. I as a hearing aid wearer could understand it perfectly via the app.
I know of people who have already used this self-guided tour and loved it. I was told it's very well planned and it's quite interesting. I, unfortunately, could not enjoy this pleasure.
The tour was fun, but you have to have good internet and not a phone that keeps shooting on sleep mode.
Was unfortunately nowhere in the description Kindly, however, the amount paid was refunded.
I bought it understanding that it was in Spanish and once it was downloaded in English and Chinese. Call tryp advisor as in the ad I did not make the languages available and they tell me that the informal ad that makes it (incorrect). It also puts a price of 2.73 euros and in the end you get 4.53 for no reason. Bad Service, Misleading Advertising and Poor Service.
