Your state-certified accredited guide will begin your tour at the State Opera house where you will get behind-the-scenes access to the most famous opera house in the world. Learn about its most famous conductors like Gustav Mahler, and the history of this temple of music. Heads up! Your tour includes skip-the-line entry at the Opera House, but the ticket price is not covered in the tour fee. You'll need to pay for your Opera House ticket at the entrance.
Your walk will begin at Palais Lobkowitz (where Beethoven premiered his Symphony No. 3 “Eroica” and the home of his main patron. Afterwards you'll see the Hofburg Imperial Chapel (where the Vienna Boys Choir perform every Sunday)

We booked a private music tour with Lisa. She was very helpful before the tour with options traveling to the opera house where we met her. She was very informative and friendly and we learned a lot about the musicians who lived and worked in Vienna. It was really wonderful!

Lisa was such a bundle of joy during our music tour of the Vienna State Opera and the surrounding music buildings. She brought a very lively energy to her entire interaction with us. Even if members of your party aren’t super interested in music or history, her explanations of the architecture of the buildings were funny when appropriate which made the tour even more entertaining. On top of that, Lisa was very personable and there was never any awkward silence when in conversation with her. Lisa was always looking out for the group. When she heard that we were interested in seeing a concert in one of the churches in the city, she happily made the effort to check if there were still tickets available (Spoiler alert: She found out tickets were already sold out by the time she had asked, but the effort she made was greatly appreciated!) Would definitely recommend Lisa for future tours!!

We had an amazing experience with Lisa as our guide. It was like seeing the city with an old friend! She had an encyclopedia of knowledge of not just the Opera House, but throughout the city on our walking tour. I could not figure out how to see the Opera House because it is off season for the Opera and Lisa made it all work. It was one of the highlights of our trip!

My family and I were in Vienna and this was our first tour while in town and it was absolutely the best decision! Lisa was our tour guide and she tailored the tour to what we wanted and she absolutely delivered! She gave us so much information about everything we looked at aside from the basic information on the plaques and signs. We also wanted non-music related information and she did that for us as well. We got a very comprehensive tour of the city center inside the Ring and we went inside the Opera House. I would recommend any tour with Lisa as she was so pleasant, a wealth of information and even texted ahead of time to tell me what she was wearing for the meet up so we found her instantly. Do not hesitate, book this tour!

Lisa was amazing and the tour was excellent. Obviously the main focus was on music, but Lisa was happy to share details about other sites around the city. Having only a limited knowledge of certain mailrooms and stairwells in Vienna, I was thrilled to know more about this amazing city, its architecture, and culture. Lisa's effervescent and warm personality was a pleasure and you could tell that she thoroughly enjoyed sharing details, stories, and sites of her home town. I was surprised that she was from Vienna as she sounded like an American, but she shared she had studied and lived in the United States for some time. I would definitely recommend this tour and this guide.
