This tour was top notch, and I highly recommend it. It includes hotel pickup and drop off as well. It is a private tour, meaning it was just us (my wife and I) and the driver/guide. He customized parts of the tour to fit our interest as well. Again, everything about this tour was top notch and I highly recommend it.

This was a great trip away from Vienna. We saw a lot of cropland and mountains. Be prepared for long car rides. It is not possible to fully see the sites and eat at the site restaurants. I would recommend packing snacks.

We had a great time visiting Hallstatt and Salzburg for a day trip! Scheduling and communication with Lorant was so simple, and the tour went exactly as he described. It was great conversation on the road, too! He was very helpful and knowledgeable about both places, and explained things to us prior to letting us go explore. It was worth every penny to have a private tour, and not wait on the rest of a group to move between each place. The car was very clean and water was provided. Overall, I would 100% recommend to others! We will rebook with him the next time we come back to this area!

Lorant was great! We had to do a last minute booking the night before our trip because the small group tour cancelled last minute. But Lorant saved the day and was reliable! He messaged before the night to confirm information and was right on time at our hotel as promised! He gave great insight along the way and at each stop! Oh and the sights were beautiful even in January! If we had to do it again we would just book with Lorant to begin with, for the peace of mind to know your tour is really happening, a great experience, and safe travel!

We had such a great day on this trip with our driver and guide, Lorant. The car was spacious, clean, comfortable, and he’s an excellent driver; calm, smooth, and just made the whole day feel easy. Lorant was also just a genuinely kind, thoughtful person to spend the day with. He was friendly, easy to chat with, and he even brought a bottle of wine for our wine tasting, which was an unexpected, and appreciated touch. The timing of the day was perfect. We had plenty of time in both Hallstatt and Salzburg to walk around, explore, take photos, and actually enjoy the places without feeling rushed or stuck on a tight schedule. This tour with Lorant was an exceptional experience and one we have many fond memories of. After having gone on a different, very unenjoyable small-group tour booked on Viatour, I was not looking forward to another day trip; however, the tour provided by Lorant could not have been more different in every way from the unenjoyable small-group tour we previously took while in Vienna. Lorant was waiting in the lobby for us before our scheduled tour time. His car was very clean and comfortable, and was even stocked with water and chocolates from Salzburg since that's where we were visiting. One of the things that stood out right from the start was that we felt safe and comfortable with his driving. Which was something we struggled with on our day trip with a different company. He took us to the foot of the Alps and I had time to wade in the water with a glass of wine. We visited the beauty of Hallstatt, which was way too busy and too hot, but out of anyone's control, and we spent time walking through Salzburg and the Wachau Valley at the close of the tour. Unfortunately, by the time we arrived at the Wachau Valley, the shops were closed for the day. I would have loved to visit the Wachau Valley during open hours, where we could have done some wine tastings, but there's only so much time in a day, so it's something to know for next time. The thing I have to thank Lorant for the most was his ability and willingness to adjust his route for members of our tour who were being affected by the heat and were unable to walk the long distances to the pickup points. Overall, we were so satisfied with the tour Lorant provided that we canceled another small-group tour we had booked for Prague and rebooked with Lorant instead. 10/10 recommend!

This was a great tour. Lorant was 10/10. He had water for us and wine, which was nice. He has a good internerary and suggestions of things to do. The trip doesn't seem too long, he breaks it up nicely. He walked us around and made sure we had our bearings. Would definitely recommend him and this trip. It was rainy, he also offered us umbrellas.

This day trip is not to be missed. With Lorant’s expert help we saw Durnstein, Melk, Salzburg and Mondsee. Lorant was easygoing, knowledgeable and a great driver. But most importantly he was flexible. The trip was supposed to include Hallstatt but there was a marathon the day we had signed up to visit. Lorant contacted me well in advance to let me know and offered to change the day. Because we couldn’t do that, with Lorant’s help we improvised and changed the trip to replace Hallstatt with Melk and add more time in Salzburg. And even on the day of the trip Lorant took our suggestion to add Mondsee, which was spectacular. The day was the highlight of our trip to Austria, thanks to Lorant.

Absolutely favorite part of our Austria trip! Lorent was so knowledgeable but also allowed us the flexibility to personalize the trip. This is a very thoughtful tour that highlights the beauty of Austria. We thought this was a good mix of guided and self-led tours, thus allowing your group free time to explore. Our private tour was outstanding!! We would highly recommend this option. Our guide Lorant was prompt, friendly, flexible and enjoyable to travel with. The auto was clean and water, wine and chocolates were provided. Lorant guided us around at each location and then we had time to explore on our own. We started the day early at 7:00am due to the length of the excursion so be sure and eat breakfast/coffee if desired before you leave. This is a quick tour to see many things in a single day so be prepared to focus on the items you wish to see as there will not be time to see everything. Per Lorant’s recommendation we rented a small boat to self tour Hallstatt from the lake view (30-60 minutes tours are available). It was lovely and one of the highlights of our trip. 30 mins is sufficient so you quickly see other village sites. Lorant was a great conversationalist but also allowed us quiet time if we preferred quiet moments of looking out the window. We recommend going on a Sunday for this length of driving tour as there is initially not as much to see on the major highway and there is much less traffic. We had more time at stops rather than delayed on traffic.

This was an amazing trip, I very highly recommend for anyone wanting to see more of Austria! Lorant did a wonderful job as a tour guide and provided just a wealth of information at each stop of the trip! It is a private tour, which is a considerable perk because it’s tailored to you. The stops were well timed and there was what we felt was enough time at each location. If you are a sound of music fan, there is a wonderful stop in Salzburg to see the fountain, stairs, and arches from the movie, which is worth seeing! Absolutely great experience!!

Excellent tour with our guide Lorant. Timings at all of the stops offs were about right, although Lorant gave us the flexibility to change things a little bit if we wanted. Lorant was very knowledgeable about the places we visited and we had good communication throughout the day. His driving is safe and we felt well looked after throughout the tour.

This tour is amazing. It is flexible and focused on the most beautiful and lovely places. Lorant drives very well in the highways so we slept all the way back to hotel. He is morning person so we had plenty of time to visit everything according to the plan.

Great way to see a large part of Austria if you don’t have a lot of time in the country. It’s a long day, but split perfectly with stops at timely intervals at simply stunning places - and the scenery along the way isn’t too bad either! Lorant, our host, was knowledgable and fun without being overbearing and was happy to work the day’s schedule around our wants.
