Josef was a hilarious tour guide. Plenty of quirk and humor — perfect for the stories. Ended up being just over 2 hrs bc we had so many questions and we enjoyed it so much! Also bc it was a night, the cool night air and empty greens was such a delight. Highly recommend for a group who doesn’t enjoy the regular slog of tour talks

We loved our Private Vienna Ghost Tour and our guide, Lisa! She had the very best stories and we had so much fun walking around and learning about Vienna history. We saw many different sites and she had interesting information on everything. The pace of the walk was great, and she took the time to answer our questions. I would recommend Lisa to anyone, she has great energy and made the tour so enjoyable!

There was a glitch. The tour operator never got the booking from Viator. We showed up on tine but no one ever met us. She called later after getting my texts to apologize and said she never heard from you. We were very disappointed!!!

Lisa and her little sidekick (also Lisa) took us on a 90 minute adventure through the streets and alleys of central Vienna. Interesting and captivating stories at every stop. Pace was perfect and cobbled streets were level and easy to navigate. Lisa is energetic and a natural storyteller. Although an Austrian, she spent enough USA time to speak unaccented American English. Spent one-on-one time, speaking with many of the tour guests between stories. A fountain of information. Deserves every star in the rating. Our group of 4 was 22 y/o to 75 y/o and we were richly rewarded with a fun evening.

Lisa was the best!!!! She had remarkable energy and told us the most fascinating secrets of Vienna. She was a wealth of knowledge in regard to the tour and additional travel tips. My entire family loved this experience and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

What a wonderful tour of creepy/spooky Vienna. Lisa was phenomenal! She is so engaging and great at story telling, my two kids were discussing the stories till the next morning. The hour and a half flew like a breeze. Some of the stories were deliciously frightening!

She was super engaging and energetic, very knowledgeable with the stories that she told about the history. When my husband and I first got here to Vienna, we thought that they really isn’t much to it except for shopping and after completing this tour, we really did get to get the full story of the history of the town. There is so much depth! She also had great tips as well recommended to spend the rest of our time here. We went in the afternoon and still got the spooky experience along with seeing the beauty of the city. Thank you Lisa highly recommend this tour!

This was an unexpected fantastic and fun experience. I had booked this instead of a normal sightseeing tour as both my daughter and I are interested in the darker sides of history. Our tour guide Lisa was absolutely amazing. Super knowledgeable, animated and welcoming! We met up in the evening, and she guided us through the city centre and told us lots of interesting back stories of the various places and buildings. It was a trip back in time. If you like to hear about the dark and bloody times of Vienna led by a great guide, I can highly recommend this private tour.

Five of us (all adults) took the tour on July 26. Our guide, Lisa, is a Vienna native, but due to her time in Miami, speaks English with no discernable accent. She was very engaging and high-energy as she escorted us down the streets (and some alleyways) of old Vienna. You'll learn about the Blood Countess, the Basilisk and other dark or spooky elements of Vienna's history that the other tours leave out. It was easy to find the meeting place (and locate Lisa), and, as at least one other review sort of indicated, it felt like we kind of had the city to ourselves that evening. While I didn't think there were too many genuine "chills," the mood was still great and we enjoyed ourselves immensely!

If the concept of a Spooky Vienna Ghost Tour sounds even a little fun to you, I want to wholly endorse this tour. I have taken a lot of private tours, and Lisa's was one of the most memorable and just flat out *fun*. For my wife and I, this was due to two separate components, the content of the tour and the guide. The content is spooky, fun, and most of all SURPRISING. Vienna is beautiful and regal, but the fact is that it's been a major city in Europe for a very long time, and some downright creepy stuff happened in this city! I really don't want to spoil any surprises, but I was surprised enough to explain out loud several times. You will stop at places whose story has permeated pop culture, created icons, and they make up part of an incredible historical fabric. The guide we had, Lisa, was one of those people that radiated fun, a real joy in her weird Spooky city, and absolute competence in her craft. I found myself completely drawn in to her stories, and as a testament to her ability, it never felt contrived or forced, it was story after story that weaved together. She is an absolute top tier guide. Lisa also provided us with other general information about the city which was really great! If you're on the fence about this tour, ask yourself: "am I in the mood to see spooky, weird and offbeat stuff, in Vienna, with an awesome host?" If you are, the decision to take this tour is easy.

Everyone in our group is from Vienna. For my friend’s Birthday we celebrated with all the fascinating spooky and most important REAL stories the inner city of Vienna has to offer. It was a Sunday eve and many streets are empty at that time so it really felt special. The biggest thanks goes to Lisa our tour guide. I’ve never experienced a more exciting story teller than Lisa. We all were loving the information she fed us. Thank you Lisa we will for sure try more of your tours. For example Segway - can’t wait!! It was a pleasure!

The Private Spooky Vienna Tour is a great way to see the city and learn about its history at the same time. Lisa was an awesome guide who is very knowledgeable about the history of the city but is also very engaging and kept our entire group entertained with insights into both the past and present. I would highly recommend this tour, especially if you enjoy learning the darker side of history!

Lisa was a fabulous guide and showed our family a completely different side of Vienna, beyond the pastries and music (which are also wonderful). As with any old cities, there are dark stories and shadowy corners. We spent an exciting several hours exploring this history, which contrasted heavily with the holiday decorations. Lisa brought these stories alive. Highly recommended!!

Amazing experience, Lisa is a friendly and informative guide which makes for an educating tour and a peek into Austria's history that you probably wouldn't get from other tours. Additionally, the tour is themed more toward the darker elements of Vienna's past making it a unique experience. My boyfriend and I have never been to Vienna before and wanted to do something different. We’re huge horror fans and thought we’d give this tour a try. We were able to visit places we never would have thought of on our own and took a lot of cool pictures. Definitely recommend!

Lisa has a great tour for Kids! on the day after a family tour of the KHM Museum Lisa took 4 little rascals on a "kids only" tour of the scariest parts of Vienna. I live in Vienna and had friends visiting - I knew I wanted to do something different while also having it be informational and interesting - and I hit the jackpot here! Lisa is enthusiastic, warm, a wonderful storyteller, and incredibly knowledgeable. The stories were 'spooky' of course but also contained rich history. Highly recommend!

The ghost spooky tour was interactive and so much fun, keeping our attention the almost two hours walking around the city of Vienna at night. Lots of laughter and I was able to take very cool pictures !! Tour guide Lisa was so gracious, knowledgeable and I was delighted the way she engaged the historical elements of the tour. I'd rate Lisa a 10 for this tour if I could. This was the final tour we took during a two-week holiday, and it was truly the best for last. Lisa's interaction with our whole family was absolutely amazing. My sons (9 & 4 y/o) were marginally interested in previous tours we did, but they were engaged and fascinated with this tour. They absolutely loved seeing all they sites and hearing all the stories, as well as adding some of their own information for Lisa's repertoire. We really couldn't have asked for a better tour guide for our family, it truly was a one-of-a-kind experience for all of us!

We really enjoyed this tour, Lisa was an amazing guide, super enthusiastic, knowledgeable and always ready to answer any question. In this tour we heard lot of stories about Vienna's spooky past while visiting the centre and learning lot of history about the city. I'd really recommend this tour if you want to visit the centre of Vienna from a different perspective and if you are a fan of spooky stories which probably you wouldn't hear during a usual tour.

I loved walking down Vienna’s old cobble stone streets, and listening to Lisa’s scary stories often with unexpected endings. Spooky details based on historical cases. “If death were a person he/she would be Viennese”.

Our guide, Lisa, was super energetic and very eager to show us all the spots where some very disturbing and spooky things went on in Vienna. The tour was informative but not overwhealming with too many details either. Even though I live in Vienna and knew some of the stories I still learned a lot of new things and really enjoyed the tour. It was my pleasure to be one of the first people to give this tour a go, I would definitely recommend this tour to others..especially in October and in the evening ;).

Die Geistertour ist mehr als zu empfehlen und war eine der besten Führungen, die ich jemals gemacht habe. Neben der tollen Stadt und den abenteuerlichen Gruselgeschichten war dies auch zu einem wesentlichen Anteil unserem sensationellem Guide Lisa zuzuschreiben, die unsere siebköpfige Gruppe mit einer irren Euphorie durch die Stadt manövriert hat. Witzig, abwechslungsreich und keine Sekunde Langeweile. Kann man blind buchen. Die fränkische Truppe war total geflashed :) Gerne wieder!
