Really lovely trip, with very safely driving and confort in the car. Our driver offered us what we need, stopped when we need it. He explains everything where we passed. Very impressive and beautiful skywalk in Hallstaat and Salzburg. It passed very quickly the time! Really recommended and do it again our 3 members of our family.

"What an incredible day seeing the countryside of Austria and then visiting Hallstatt and Salzburg. Our guide, was so nice, professional and informative. He drove carefully and proactively provided some insight on some of the towns and buildings along the highway that may require us to return! Hallstatt was so beautiful.
Wonderful private tour to Hallstatt and Salzburg from Vienna, highly recommended. Timely pick up, clear communication and speedy transfer to all the hot spots. We were guided to see top attractions in a way that avoided the crowds. Stops on demand and wonderful service from Wesam overall. 5 stars!
Our guided trip was amazing, absolutely loved it. Hands down one of the most beautiful places i have ever visited and our guide Nico was super helpful, very informative and accommodating. If you visit please request for Nico
Day trip to Hallstatt and Salzburg with a stop at Altmunster for a few photos by the lake was amazing. Driver Nico picked us from the hotel on time, he was professional and took some scenic drive to show local agricultural towns along the way. Due to the distance from Vienna, we had 1hr in Hallstatt and 2.5hr in Salzburg enough to get a taste of both places. It also happen to be the Salzburg Rupertikirtag festival while we were there with locals dressed up in Austrian attire, children rides and booths selling local products and food. Truly made the trip worthwhile!
Long day but enjoyable at tour was just with 6 friends. It was about 11.5 hours total. About 6 hours spent in the traveling time.
Our experience was wonderful! We hit all of the target premier photo areas and was allotted plenty of time for shops and eating. Our driver/guide was well versed in all of the history for the areas we were in.
We had Niko as our driver and he took us to all the amazing spots and recommendations. He catered to the things we wanted to see more of in the time we had. We had 4 in our party I totally recommend a private tour over a big tour group. Request Niko as your driver!
Nico was an awesome guide, great conversationalist, and made for a beautiful day in the hills of Austria!
Melk and Hallstatt were worth it. Not worth going all the way to Salzburg without staying overnight. The guys was more of a driver not a tour guide he hardly shared any information and didn’t talk much at all in the car. Long tiring day trying to do all 3 places.
Nico was the BEST! We actually requested him based on all his good reviews. He lived up to the expectations. Hallstat is a must see. It rained on us but even in the rain it was worth being wet for. Nico took us on scenic roads off the main path and made an extra stop to see the sound of music home. He provided waters, took our pictures and even bought on of the girls a birthday gift of Mozart chocolates. Salzburg was gorgeous. Just a wonderful experience! Thank you Nico!
Our trip was excellent, and much of that was thanks to our driver, Sam. He clearly knows what he’s doing—very skilled behind the wheel and always made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the journey. He was also very knowledgeable about the tour and shared helpful information along the way. Highly recommended! 👍
Get to see Hallstatt and Salzburg in one day. Our driver Nico was very professional and nice! He also drove carefully. Would definitely recommend!
The van was not what we expected from the description. It was older and very loud. The driver skipped Melk all together. Pointed out the abbey as we passed. That was disappointing, because we kind of wanted to visit the abbey. When we got to Hallstatt, he dropped us off and told us to do the skywalk which was a horrible experience. It was 90*, we were crammed in a funicular with too many people and no air for too long before it started to move. Then we had to walk 10,000 stairs up, down and around to get to the skywalk… a short extension over the lake, and that was it. It was absolutely not worth the price or our time. This took so much of our time. The scenery from the shore was prettier up close. By the time we reached Salzburg, we were starving. And because we spent so much time getting to the skywalk and back down, we didn’t get to spend very much time in Salzburg which, hands down, was the best part of the trip. We were rushed through town as shops began closing their doors. It was rather disappointing.
Wonderful day with Mohammed! We enjoyed this day so much! Everything was perfect. Mohammed was amazing and we just had so much fun with him. We left the day with a new friend , well maybe more like a new family member. He cared for us all the way and made sure we knew all the history of the places we stopped out. Would highly recommend!
Me and 5 friends did this tour and honestly was such a good way to see so many sites of Austria! Our driver Mohamad was awesome too, had such good communication. Would recommend this as a day trip to see more of Austria in limited time!
The trip was perfect, I would rate it 10/10. Mohammed was our driver, he is so informative and kind. The itinerary was flexible and we managed to see everything we wanted to. Mohammed made sure we were comfortable during the whole trip :) I would recommend this trip for anyone looking for a lovely day trip from Vienna.
This trip was the highlight of our vacation. I never thought I’d actually see Hallstatt in person—it was even more beautiful than the photos. Melk Abbey was a big surprise, so impressive. And Salzburg felt alive with music and history. Loved every minute.
What a fantastic day! Starting with the stunning abbey in Melk, then the fairytale village of Hallstatt, and ending in the musical city of Salzburg absolutely perfect
We wanted something more personal than a group tour, and this was exactly it. Great balance of guided time and free time to explore
Long day but it contains many beautiful sites. Our guide Nico had many good suggestions. Definitely worth the money!
Melk was our first stop, and it was the perfect start to the day. We admired the abbey from a great viewpoint before heading out on the road. I was so thankful we didn’t take the train the cost is high, and you’d miss the scenic drive. Our guide knew exactly where to stop in Hallstatt for the best photos, and the Skywalk was breathtaking. In Salzburg, we visited Sound of Music filming locations and explored the old town at our own pace. Lunch was amazing, and we never once felt rushed.
We began our day in the charming town of Melk, where our guide gave us a short but fascinating introduction to the abbey and the surrounding area. Thankfully, we didn’t take the train not only is it expensive, but we would have missed all the incredible scenery along the way. From Melk, we enjoyed a beautiful drive through the Austrian countryside to Hallstatt, stopping at secret spots for photos. The Skywalk was unforgettable, with sweeping lake and mountain views. In the afternoon, we headed to Salzburg, visiting Sound of Music filming locations before exploring the old town. Lunch was at a local gem our guide suggested. Everything was flexible and tailored to our pace.
Highly recommend! Comfortable vehicle, excellent conversation, and the perfect balance of guided time and free time. Best day in our trip to Europe
Hallstatt was a dream, but the scenic drive was half the magic. The mountains, lakes, and charming villages along the way were incredible very recommended Day trip from Vienna if you have time to see the countryside of Austria
This is not your typical tourist private trip. It felt personal and relaxed. We stopped at hidden viewpoints I never would have found myself
From the moment we were picked up, everything was seamless. Salzburg’s old town came alive through our guide’s stories, and Hallstatt… breathtaking! Very good day and very good price
Best day of our trip! We never felt rushed, learned so much about new stuff , and still had plenty of time to explore on our own. Can’t recommend this tour enough.
Overall the trip was good - just need to be prepared for A LOT of time in the car. In total it’s over 7 hours of driving which is quite a bit for one day. Hallstatt is so so beautiful, it’s just breathtaking! It’s definitely worth seeing. We really enjoyed the stop there even though the weather was not the best. It is quite touristy so gets pretty crowded. Salzburg is also very nice - but it poured while we were there so we didn’t really get to explore it as much as we wanted.
We’re visiting from Chicago and took this tour based on a friend’s recommendation. So glad we did! Hallstatt is straight out of a postcard, and Salzburg was full of music and history. Our guide went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and entertained all day
We had an amazing time on our tour and I definitely recommend this private tour to anyone in Vienna who wants to see more of Austria. Our driver, Sam, was very caring, informative, accomodating and flexible. He was a very professional and safe driver. It’s a terrific day trip from Vienna. Hallstatt and Salzburg are charming towns. Highly, highly recommend.
We had an amazing trip with Sam, he was a great time. He helped us with recommendation's in each location and didn’t rush us at all. We got to see the most beautiful views & had a delicious meal! Definitely would recommend this to any group of people that want a more intimate tour! It was really great to just be with no strangers. I would recommend the skywalk to anyone who’s going the view is outstanding !!!
Our driver and guide, Ahmed, was professional and very helpful with precious information. A lot of driving but this was expected and the price to pay if you wish to see both Hallstaat and Salzburg in a day (which is quite a performance) Highly recommended if you understand the implications of this tour
From the moment we left Vienna, the views were stunning. Hallstatt was even more beautiful than the photos. Our driver gave us great tips and even helped us with a lot of information ,take amazing photos!
Hallstatt looks like a postcard, and this tour made it easy and stress-free. So much better than trying to figure out trains and buses. Super comfortable car, kind driver, and lots of great stops along the way.
Absolutely breathtaking! Our private day trip to Hallstatt was smooth, scenic, and perfectly timed. We avoided the crowds and had time to explore at our own pace. The lakeside views were unreal. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful day trip - our driver was knowledgable, helpful, and flexible with our goals for the trip!
We have a good experience with Nico. He is young but mature for his age and he made us feel like he has all the time in the world to make our experience worthwhile. He also takes good pictures of us!!!
We arrived in Vienna on a Viking River longship and were picked up at our docking location. We had been to Melk on our cruise so the tour guide was kind enough to take us to Traunkirshen instead. This was a beautiful location in the Austrian Alps. The entire trip was very good with amazing sites. We wished we could have spent more time in Salzburg but because there are several places to visit and so much to see the guide did a good job hitting all the spots within our 11 hour tour window. Highly recommend this tour.
Adem was amazing. Brought us to Melk, made himself available to take our pics. Halstatt view was amazing. He allowed us to explore Sound of Music spots and not his usual tours. Highly recommended
What a beautiful day we had and a fantastic guide who made the day extra special with all of his knowledge .
Hallstatt was beautiful. Nico was a great guide. Salzburg was a vibrant city. The start of Oktoberfest was interesting to see.
Melk, Hallstatt and Salzburg all the three places but we love Hallstatt. Our guide Nico was well versed. He made our journey way more comfortable and memorable.
Excellent day trip to all the great places. Hallstatt was picturesque and Salzburg was great to reminisce “The Sound of Music” and of course for Mozart’s birthplace.
My family thoroughly enjoyed our day trip with Mohammed. He was an enthusiastic and respectful guide, making great conversation and well versed of Austria’s history. We enjoyed beautiful scenes of blue lakes and extraordinary architecture at the places visited. Overall this was a relaxing and beautiful experience and would recommend to anyone who wants a day long adventure outside of Vienna!
Our favorite day of our trip! We got to see so many amazing views and our guide Ahmed was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. A day of a lifetime seeing the best sights in Austria!
Our driver Adam was amazing - we had a very pleasant experience, and we recommend it to anyone interested. Adam made the trip a great moment for our family!
Nico was our guide and was very hospitable. The stop in Melk isn’t that great, I’d skip it next time. Hallstat was amazing and the views are ridiculous. It’s the prettiest place on earth. Our visit to Salzburg was very short and not enough time. Next time, we’d split the day between Hallstat and Salzburg.
I feel that a visit to Austria without going to Melk, Traunsee, Hallstatt & Salzburg is not a complete visit to this beautiful country. Our family of 4 booked this tour and we were so lucky to have Mohamad to be our driver/tour guide. He drives really well and he takes the initiative to drive through some smaller roads when there were road accidents so we could avoid the traffic jams and still make it to see all of the beautiful scenery and then make it back to Vienna in time for our dinner. He also takes us to all the best scenic spots for taking the best photos. He is very attentive to our needs. All in all, this is one of the most memorable tours of our lives.
We’ve selected this trip with a thought that it would be like any other package trip, taking a collective people in a bus or in van and taking out to the places. But on the contrary they assigned a guide- driver with a pretty decent car. So we four of us and the guide. Our guide was Mr. Mohammed a wonderful gentleman. He not only drives, rather he knows the places intact and the history around the city Hallstät and Salzburg. He was open to our questions and doubts, of course he knows the history around the place and many of the constructs in the town. Traveling with him, we never felt we are with a stranger, but we have that feeling of traveling with one of our good old friend.
