Highlights Of Vienna In A Historical & Cultural Walking Tour

Nicoletta is an excellent Vienna guide who knows her subject thoroughly. The tour was great value and most entertaining. We recommend it 100%.

Our tour with her was excellent and the group we travelled with were so kind and patient as we had a small child with us. No one felt annoyed with us because our son slowed us down a bit, but we felt welcome and part of the tour the whole time. We really enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone going to Vienna. The three hour tour did winded up being a four-hour tour because of the breaks we had along the way.

Well-guided walk in Vienna for a first-time visitor comprising historic fun-facts and anecdotes with some basic introduction to the city while passing a fair selection of must-see sights; obviously one cannot cover all in one tour. Our stop was at an alternative coffee house ‘Einstein’ (Café Landtmann was fully booked). Please remember any orders are on your own tab; a bit of a wait upon check-out; could perhaps be a bit more clear on time commitment to not spend too much time on a break? We appreciated the tour in the evening including the views of several sights lit at night, and also the recommendations enroute including pointing out where to catch the tram to Grinzing which we enjoyed visiting later in our stay. The tour guide was great. But 3 hours is too long a walking tour. Not the guides fault - but we are all toured out after about an hour and a half. A 90 minute tour would have been better.

Nikkoletta did an amazing job and covered so many of the historical sites throughout Vienna! It was a great mix of historical and cultural information. The walking pace was perfect and allowed for plenty of time to take pictures. The break at the Cafe Landtmann was a real treat as well where we got to try apple strudel and Sacher torte. A comprehensive tour of the city with a very humorous and fun guide. I loved her wit but her jokes might not be for everyone. If you hate boring tours that repeat the same information, this is what you should go for!

This walk covers a large part of the city center, so you will not need anything else for the day. The guide gives valuable suggestions for activities to do after the tour or in the following days. She also recommended to us restaurants with local and international cuisine. Loved it!

This tour is great for solo travelers because it is in a small group, so I could interact with our guide and ask all questions I wanted. We also had enough time to take photos and the pace was easy. Five stars from me!

I booked the tour with my American best friend, and we found it great value. What we loved where the details and the way that Nicolette brought the history of Vienna to life. It gave us a good understanding of Vienna and we would surely love to return to the city asap!

Despite Viator’s stellar track record for a variety of tours we have taken while traveling abroad, this one is getting 2-stars and that’s being charitable. The two reasons for the 2-star rating is because the link in Viator’s app for the meeting place was not accurate so we were waiting at the incorrect place. I then had to call the guide (several times while incurring charges with my US cellular carrier) who was incredibly rude on the phone and was not very helpful with instructions on where to meet up with the group at their first stop. I would mention her name but she didn’t even introduce herself once we arrived with the group not anytime throughout the 3-hour tour. And the group only had 8 guests, including my wife and I, so plenty of opportunities to be cordial and welcoming to the group. If I were Viator, I would remove her from the lineup ASAP as she was a horrible representation of the caliber of guides typical offered on the tours.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and had great recommendations. We would have preferred some type of seating at the start location, but otherwise very enjoyable and memorable.

This tour with a Greek host (Nicoletta?) was very informative and fun. She really explained a lot of history while having a great sense of humor. We made many stops. Great tour with Nicoleta, lots of walking what we like, except for the very hot day. We learned a lot about old Vienna. We stop for a break at a restaurant where Sigmund Freud had his coffee and so did we. Very good tour if you like to learn some history and also about the famous chocolates and desserts Vienna is know for.

Guide was prompt and friendly. She had a wealth of knowledge about Vienna history and social tid bits as well. The sun was hot and she tried to keep us in the shade. The stop at the coffeehouse was such fun too!! Highly recommend her to everyone who visits Vienna!

This was a fantastic walking tour! It was about 3.5 hours long with a stop for lunch at the Film Festival about halfway through, which was a nice break. We covered a lot of ground and a lot of history! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and kind. I highly recommend this tour!

The tour we went on included a break of about 45 minutes in an historic cafe. This was a lovely break but did add 45 minutes to the length of the tour. Excellent guide who covered a lot of history in a clear and concise manner. Highly recommend!

Great way to start my visit to Vienna. Nicolette was fabulous and gave us the lay of the land around most of the important places in the center of Vienna.

Nicolette was knowledge and straight forward ! There were 2 different people who were lost or late and she called them And helped them find the group and waited a few extra minutes! Tour was 3 hours but w coffee break at place that had been frequented by Freud it was 4 hours but awesome tour of Vienna! Highly recommend!

This was one of the best walking tours we've taken. With only six people in the group, including my wife and me, the experience felt personal, interactive, and never rushed. The content of the Tour was interesting but the frequent remarks of the Guide about my nationality were in poor taste

They cancelled the tour at the very last minute - 15 mins before the tour. We were walking on our way there when we got the call. They said it was due to the rain, but we saw other walking tours still operational.

This was a good walking tour of historic Vienna with a lot of history to be learned. The guide did a good job of relaying this in a pretty engaging fashion, but she did not do well with questions and seemed to have a difficult time going off script. The tour was a lot of walking, but there was a nice break at a well known cafe about half way through. Good introduction to Viennese history.

Decent tour. Guide was Greek, but understandable. Didn't seem like she appreciated questions, and any question of depth was not known.
