Not really a small group tour, there were two of us, picked up by a private driver who drove us to bratislava. He was extremely friendly and spoke the whole way there. No guide of the castle, or around the city. Basically just a transport service. You can catch a train for much cheaper

It was a one hour ride in a Mercedes van by a very competent driver (Peter) then met the local guide who was very good (Susana) that took you on a 2 hour walking tour ending in the old town where we had about 2 hours to explore on our own before meeting for our ride back. They pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. Nice experience that I recommend, though a bit pricy.
Lots of history of Bratislava and the region. Good pacing and timing of the tour. We paid ahead but there is also an option to pay later.
Our tour guide was excellent and gave us a walking tour of Bratislava. Best part was she knew the best restaurants to have us try the local food and showed us the souvenir shops and post office.
We originally went with a small half day group tour. This was cancelled due to numbers and said in the original booking conditions, the great news was they were flexible enough that we could book a personalised tour on the day. That said Bratislava and the tour was excellent. Loved the old town and castle and enjoyed looking at the details. We went for the Xmas markets and they were good… but upon reflection wish it was at night! Prices everywhere where great So much cheaper than other European cities Food and drink were great Do yourself a favour and go See another flavour in the dessert that is Europe
Eva was amazing as a guide. She walked us through the medieval city and talked about the historical aspects of it. Our driver was wonderful and the entire day was well worth it. Excellent!
Great tour and excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable and answered question very well. If you are in Vienna and have a half day for a tour, I highly recommend the tour of Bratislava. A very enjoyable tour with adequate time for lunch.
Excellent guide, same as driver. Very patience to explain everything. I highly recommend this tour. Don't missed!! You will enjoy a see nice area, next to the ocean. Make shopping there very good, excellent prices.
The driver was prompt and knowledgeable. He took us to the Slavin memorial and Bratislava Castle which was convenient so I didn’t have to walk up those hills. Then he dropped us off at Old Town for free time. And since it was such a nice day out he gave us an extra 30 minutes to explore. Overall, I liked the convenience of being picked up at my hotel and driven around to the tourist spots so I didn’t really have to plan anything or take a train. I could just enjoy the trip without stress.
My original booking for cancelled due to low numbers, so they rescheduled for the next day. We went even though it was snowing, and while everyone was cold, I had a great time. Our driver Peter was super nice and our tour guide Janette had great energy. Good for solo travelers! Thank you!
I was advised the day before of travelling that the tour didn't reach the minimum requirements and will need to pay additional 200 Euros for private tour which does not include the tour guide. I advised to cancel the tour moments later another person has booked the excursion so the tour went ahead. Driver messaged to confirm pick up time at 8.30, we got to Bratislava within an hour. We took pictures from the memorial place and castle. We then got dropped off at old town and spent 3 hours there which was enough time for us to visit the sites and had time for lunch at christmas markets. Arrived at the hotel at 2.30 which meant I was able to tour around in Vienna. I recommend this tour, friendly driver, beautiful place, weather was perfect clear skies.
It was a good visit. The hotel pick up and drop off was very convenient. An additional hour in Bratislava would have been appreciated.
Out guide and driver were great on time and personable. Guide was very knowledgeable on history. Christmas markets opened the day we were there so that was an added bonus.
There was a traffic jam ahead of being picked up but the driver kept us informed all the way. We were driven to the castle st the highest point and had an amazing tour guide who took over. He gave us all the history of the city and guided us through the city so that we saw all the landmark sites. He took us to the spot where we would be picked up. We then had two leisure hours to view anything we wanted or use the time to dine on local cuisine. At pickup time, which was extended due to late pick up, the driver took us to the Blue Church. This was an area I wanted to see, but wouldn't have been able to due to the time and walking distance. All in all it was a great trip. Booking through trip advisor is very convenient, but it would be cheaper going direct to provider.
The trip was great. Both Peter the driver and the tour guide were very good and I totally recommended the trip.
The small group tour I originally booked with didn't have enough people to run this tour on the only day I was available so I switched to a private tour instead and did not regret it at all. Our driver Peter was really great: very considerate and accommodating. When we reached Bratislava, the tour guide who met us was also good, giving us an interesting overview of the city and an excellent recommendation of a restaurant for lunch. On the way back, Peter knew I was interested in art so he stopped at the Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum which I'd never heard of but really loved. It's a modern art museum featuring Slovakian and other international art work, and sculptures in the grounds set along the shores of the Danube. I enjoyed this stop very much and am grateful to Peter for introducing this small but fascinating gallery which I would otherwise never have visited.
Driver Peter was punctual to picking me up from my hotel location. It was a small group. Local guide Lucy did an excellent job in highlighting certain important places of history. She brought us to the old city of Bratislava to shop & where to have our lunch. Highly recommended.
This isn't really a tour of Bratislava, but rather a premium pick-up/drop-off service. The driver picked us up promptly at the designated time and we picked up an additional passenger. On the way there, the driver didn't really speak much, but just introduced a few facts about Bratislava. 90% of the time, we sat in silence while driving along the mountains/smaller towns. If you want a guided tour, it's an additional fee that you can pay in the tourist information center.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out many things we never would have seen without her.
The driver was amazing. One best we have ever had. Was very cooperative and helpful as well as cheerful
The wonderful architecture and shops where wonderful. Guide and driver did a great job. Could have used more free time.
Bratislava was much nicer than expected! A great day trip from Vienna and it doesn’t take too long to get there!
First off, I was told that there would be a tour guide once I got to Bratislava. I felt very bad for the driver because the tour operator did not seem to communicate with him at all regarding what the tourists should do or where they should go upon arrival to Bratislava. If it wasn’t for the driver, the three of us tourists who were on the trip would have been stranded. To top it off, the tour guide did not show up, so I ended up having to pay thirty euros extra to get the city tour that should have been included given the extremely high cost of the trip. Unfortunately, the day was bitterly cold, windy, and rainy, so I couldn’t even really enjoy the city. It’s no one’s fault that the weather was bad, but Viator refused to take responsibility for the lack of a tour guide. They should have issued everyone on the tour a partial refund at least. I was a bit annoyed that I wasted time on this tour when I could have just stayed in Vienna and saw more there.
This was a nice day trip, with no tour guide. Our driver dropped us off at the castle, and picked us up in the old town area. I enjoyed walking through the castle, and the old town was cute. I found a couple of good bakeries in town, which is one of my must do’s in all new cities. The walk to get from the castle to town was quite a bit, but it was easy enough to navigate.
We had an amazing trip from the entertaining drive with Andrew to the informative tour guide in Bratislava! We were there during the Christmas markets so it was helpful having a guide describe the traditional food items being served and of their traditional Christmas handmade items.
The tour was basically under 2 hours as after that we were on our own to roam around. The driver Andrew was punctual, funny and very accommodating
It was a nice option if you don't want to deal with getting your own bus and what not there but it was a little pricey for a van packed to the brim with people. There were 10 of us and it was a very tight uncomfortable (but quick) ride. The driver was so nice but it would've have better with some sort of tour component. Make sure you bring your passport as Austria does border checks to make sure no one is sneaking in refugees and the packed minivan screams "please search me" which happened to us. Two of the people in our van forgot their passports and it was a problem. The City itself is charming and I think it was the perfect amount of time in the city. The tour was nice once you arrive in the city and the food in town was very good. Definitely try the bagels.
Both of our guides were really great and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful time in Bratislava. The size of the small group was also a great number of people.
Would have given 5 stars but not quite enough time in Bratislava. Our guide Yana was brilliant and her stories and history of Slovakia was so interesting - 5 stars for Yana. We only had 1 hour 40 minutes free time in Bratislava would had liked more to absorb and explore this lovely city.
Had a great trip to Bratislava. Andrija (Andrew) kept the drive from Vienna to Bratislava lively and fun. Jana our guide in Bratislava was really knowledgeable of the City and its history, making the tour really informative. She also gave as tips on which food to eat and local products to buy.
We had a wondeful experiance. Our tour driver Andrew was very professional and helpfull. Although it was a rainy day we had a lovely time. Well done.
The local guide was very knowledgeable , and the pace of the tour was good. She gave us lots of time to ask questions and take photos .
Driver was hilarious and made the drive entertaining. Local guide was lovely and knowledgeable. Would have liked some pointers on the local holiday crafts in addition to the excellent descriptions of the market street foods. Each of the foods we tasted were excellent.
About 16 hours before my trip the tour operator contacted me by text to cancel the tour because “not enough people signed up for the tour”. They could not offer me any solutions that worked for my schedule because they cancelled so last minute. I asked for a private tour and they said he’s for an additional €350!! Appalling. Don’t use them if you want your trip to actually happen.
We had a wonderful time. Out tour driver Peter was very professional and out tour guide Luba was very nice and knowledgeable.
Very friendly driver and knowledgeable your guide to this beautiful medieval town. Short drive from Vienna makes this a great day trip.
The guide was very friendly and answered all of the tour's questions. She was very knowledgeable about Bratislava's history and recommended some traditional food as well as a few local cafes and restaurants (we followed her guide and we loved the food, of course). The driver was also outgoing and seemed interested in Malta's culture, cuisine and lifestyle. We also had a change to stop by the palace on the other side of the road to see the beauty of Bratislava from a panoramic vantage point. I recommend spending 20-25 minutes here to take some photos. Overall I highly recommend this day trip if you have a free day in Vienna. You will probably feel quite tired after the excursion, so you can ask the driver to drop you by Stadpark for a superb end to your day. FYI: The driver will pick you up at your accomodation and will drop you off wherever you want in Vienna (which is a bonus). Thank you to the organizers and all of the staff involved!
As advertised, we were picked up and driven to Bratislava. There, we picked up a local tour guide, who narrated a three-part tour: driving around just outside of Old Town, a stop at Bratislava Castle to see the view and learn a bit of history, then walking through Old Town. All three parts went about 1.5 hours, after which we had about two hours free to explore on our own and get lunch. The driver was friendly and good. The guide, a lifelong resident of Bratislava, spoke excellent English--and Spanish, it turned out--and offered great insight into life there during and after the Communist regime. There were only four of us touring--so nice to have that small-group experience rather than a bus full of people!
Small group The driver was engaging and friendly. Th tour guide was knowledgeable and had a lovely manner. Highly recommended
I noticed a lot of reviews noted that as an afterthought they could have taken the train themselves to Slovakia. However I do tend to differ on this, I like the early pick up and drop off at my hotel. We headed straight to Bratislava after all the pickup. We beat people traffic in the city and was able to have a comfortable walking tour with the local tour guide. She was very informative and gave us a flavor and view of a Slovakian way of life. I like the stop at the tasty cheese dumpling vendor. Our driver to and from Vienna have us a panoramic view and some extra site stops before we headed back. We were back in Vienna by 330-345pm enough time to walk around stephenplatz and do some window shopping before dinner. Very laid back but good day tour.
Having paid in full via phone booking, we were contacted by the local operator and requested to change our date. We assumed it was because there weren't enough clients on the day we chose. But this is not appropriate. If you advertise availability and take payment, there should be no attempt to get us to change our booking. We declined to change as we couldn't. The tour then proceeded as planned. But as we expected, we were the only two clients on tour. Our driver, a young Croat named Marko was very nice and helpful. When we arrived at Bratislava, we picked up Jana, our local guide. She was engaging and informative and we liked her a lot. Bratislava is not jaw drop beautiful like some other cities, but the old town centre was very pleasant to walk through. Jana recommended a restaurant for lunch and we enjoyed the local gnocchi with sheep cheese sauce and fatty bits of bacon on top, spicy pork ribs and duck confit. All in all, a very pleasant few hours spent in Bratislava. I would recommend this tour as a nice day trip from Vienna.
My husband and I decided to visit Bratislava as we were staying with family in Vienna. No regrets just wished we actually spend a day more. It was a beautiful place with history. Our driver Marco was awesome and our guide Yana, was just the best! She was informative and love her city so much. Very passionate about her job and making sure we were informed of everything. I truly recommend a half-day trip in Bratislava instead of the usual Prague and Budapest routes.
This was the highlight of our trip. The woman guide in the city was outstanding. I wish I had taken her contact information so friends that plan to visit could request her. She grew up during the Russian control and had such interesting personal stories to tell. The driver from Croatia was also very good. We did a day trip from Vienna.
This was a well planned and executed trip that ran like clockwork. All the tour guides were excellent especially Wendy who knew her city so well. Bratislava is a beautiful city and I would recommend this trip to anyone who is on a city break to Vienna or Budapest. Very enjoyable in deed.
Our guide was very knowledgeable & helpful. We had a nice time even it was raining. Bratislava is a beautiful place to see, a must see if you get a chance.

We are totally disappointed about the tour that you provided us to Bratislava The tour advertised as 8 hour day tour and its started at 8am and we are back to the hotel now at 0130pm. We spent only 3 hours in Bratislava. Even no time to have lunch there. Considering as a day tour we didn't plan anything for the evening. We all expected to be there at least till 0330pm
We came to Vienna only for 2 days and in a very tight schedule, planned to use every minute of it. But this tour waste our time in the hotel and ruined our planes.
We had tours with Premient Prague. Vienna sightseeing and all they delivered what they advertised. But a question on Viator. We already raise a complain but till today no respond or action taken by Viator.

I loved the tour, our driver and guide were great. The only reason I don’t give it five stars is because this wasn’t a full day trip. We were in Bratislava from 9-12:30. I assumed full day meant at least until 3/4pm. I wish we had stayed for more time as advertised.

Deshonest Enterprise. Cancelled the tour 14 hours before scheduled time. He said there were not enough people. But warned the 18 hours of the day before!!!! No time to even look for a serious Enterprise. The tour was paid since August. If I were canceling with less than 24 hours, I'd have to pay. By the way the refund email came informing 0 real as a refund. I'll still have to fight to get the money back. Council, find another Enterprise.
Well if we take a day trip from Vienna and you noticed the difference of an Empire as it hosted Vienna and the Slovak community that a day not too long ago was communist. The food is delicious, the view of the River interesting, it is a visit worth making to compare the two regimes that dominated them
Bratislava is a super beautiful city. The driver was very friendly and the city guide was also very nice and showed many interesting places. Definitely recommended.
