Best Of Food Tour Vienna

Our guide Lucas was great. We went to diverse locations in a nice part of town. We had a great time and would recommend this tour to anyone.

Good and tasting was great. Also very informative about the city.guide offered political opinion, which we didn’t feel was appropriate. But overall a great experience.

Lucas was a great guide. Plenty of food and great wine. We learnt about local favourites and some great wines. The restaurants we visited would have been impossible to find. Lovely group to spend a few hours with.

We decided to book this at the last minute and Im so glad we did! There were just 4 in our group, so felt like a private tour. Lucas was an amazing guide....very knowledgeable and great personality! He took us to the authentic local spots we wouldnt have likely found on our own. The wine tasting was a nice addition and we learned a lot about the Austrian wine regions and varieties. Great afternoon....highly recommend!

Great food tour. We were the only ones to sign up so it was basically a private tour for us. There was quite a bit of walking in between locations which would normally be fine except it was very hot when we were there but that’s not the tour guide’s fault. We went to several locations and had a great time.

Truly a local food tour, all of the places we visited were ones we would not have found or tried on our own. Lucas was amazing--incredibly knowledgeable about the local food scene, and provided us with lots of information about the Austrian wine region. We also sampled local wines and hear about the history of the region. We really felt like we had an authentically Viennese food experience, and Lucas also left us with great recommendations for dinner and lunch spots that we utilized later in our stay. Can't recommend enough!

Lucas was very knowledgeable and thoughtful of the groups interest. His experience as a chef makes his presentation engaging, and his knowledge, superior to other guide guides. The two hours flew by. I highly recommend this tour!

This was a great tour! The tastings were delicious and plentiful, and Lukas filled us in on the history and local culture around the different foods/venues. It was a fun, interesting, and tasty way to spend a few hours getting to know Vienna!

Lukas was a phenomenal guide, our group thoroughly enjoyed the "Best of" tour, especially the "secret stops". Ever since our first food tour 10 years ago in Florence Italy, when planning to visit a new city my wife and I seek out a local food tour. While this "Best of Food Tour Vienna" was more expensive than most, it was exactly the type of experience we wanted. And our guide Lucas, himself a chef, totally ROCKED it! Over nearly 3 hours, we discovered undiscoverable spots with delish food and drink complemented by Lucas' abundant knowledge and nuanced insights of both products and places. Although we didn't want this tour to end, we were both full and fulfilled.

Had a wonderful experience with Lucas. Just the right amount of food and drinks at a very comfortable pace. Had with us our two kids who travel well, but he was especially sweet with them. Very local cuisine but not too over the top for western palettes. Lucas is incredibly knowledgeable and great company.

We would highly recommend this tour! Our tour guide was funny, knowledgeable and skipped over the tourist traps to give us a true feel of Viennese food, wine and beer. He provided us additional information as to places to eat on our visit, from simple coffee shops to fine dining and everything in between. I have a minor nut allergy and he was excellent at ensuring I was aware of what to stay away from and provided me alternatives at the chocolate shop with no nuts.

We had a wonderful introduction to the city with Lucus! Not only did we get a taste of the coffee houses and favourite snacks, but we were also set up for the rest of our trip with the guide to food locations provided afterwards! The wine tasting was a particular favourite, and there was so problem accommodating my partner's vegetarian diet. Would highly recommend.

The tour was mainly a wine drinking tour the food element was disappointing not what we expected no schnitzel for example or pastries/cakes for which Austria is famous the guide was interesting but unable to give us any history as unlicensed to do so it was expensive

Lukas took us to 6 different places for traditional food, wine and sweets. Places that you may have passed by and never realised were there. As a former chef he is very knowledgeable. Also great tips for eating and drinking in Vienna. Really enjoyed our tour with Lukas

Food tour was very nice. Enjoyed the variety. Lucas was friendly. We enjoyed several wines, but May face preferred some more actual food dishes as well.

Excellent food tour! Lucas was an amazing, knowledgeable guide. We made several stops that I would have never found myself and left feeling like I really experienced local Vienna cuisine. This tour is especially great if you are a wine lover, but also works well for those who prefer non-alcoholic, like myself. Highly recommend!

Lucas was a very knowledgeable and patient guide. He paced the tour and its six stops very well. The combination of food, beer, and wine as an excellent combination, with some sites of the city tossed in. I would tour with him as my guide again, well done!

Horrible. I would have given it a “0” if possible since we did not get the opportunity to experience the tour. The excursion was to start at 14:30. The tour guide, Lukas said he arrived @ 13:55 & waited 25 mins (14:20). At 14:35 he send us a selfie stating that he marked us a “no show”. We arrived at 14:00 & did see him on the steps but he was simply a man with 2 bottles of water and nothing to identify him as a tour guide. When he send us the text at 14:35 we were standing on the steps but he was not present. Viator refused to give us a refund since Lukas did show up.

Perfect food tour around Vienna! Good variety of dishes and drinks with information on the history around each dish.

Disappointing. Low quality of service and food compared to other visited countries. Low energy guide with little enthisiasm.

Great first day tour with Lucas! We got to walk all around the city center and see the sites and experience some incredible food and wine. Lucas was very engaging and fun! Wonderful way to start our time in Vienna!

Had an excellent food walking tour with Lucas, the pace was about right and Lucas was well informed about food, wine and history of Vienna. We ate some good food and discover places we might otherwise miss, highly recommended!

Coming from the states, my husband and I were fascinated with the level of pride and precision the Austrians take in producing unique culinary delights. Lucas speaks perfect English and his sense of humor was a real delight. Great three hour tour that will fill you up with tasty dishes and treats. Did I mention wine? Lukas was a really fun guide and we learned a lot! Got to try some unique foods, walk through the Inner Stadt, and hear about his time as a chef, get some of his recommendations for other food places to try, etc.

We had a amazing food tour of Vienna! We traveled with a group of Chefs from New York and where looking for that real food/wine experience that is not geared to tourists. We really got to the off the path foodie locations. Our guide new exactly where to take us and we ate and drank so much. Amazing experience and would highly recommend this company.

A fabulous foodie tour of Vienna. You sample sweet, savoury, beer & wine. A really good fun, informative tour with a fab guide. Loved all the little out of the way local places we visited, would never have known about them if travelling on our own . Lukas was a great host, he knew all the best places to take us and the food to eat. Highly recommend it - don’t eat lunch beforehand!!

Lucas was wonderful and took us to places the locals go. It felt very "behind the scenes". The wine tasting and conversation at a restaurant that was a bomb shelter during WWII was the perfect ending.

This tour was a highlight of our time in Vienna. Lukas was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of great info about the food and drinks we sampled. Our guide Lukas, the owner, is a former chef in Vienna snd knows his food and way around. We started with a local meat load that was quite delicious, then headed to a small candy shop. We did small sandwiches with beer, the ham tasting, fine handmade chocolate for dessert and then som wine in a really cool place. I really liked that it was only 2,5 hours instead of the usual 4 hours. What we had was good, but my stomach was far from full. I missed the traditional schnitzel and the traditional wurst being served. All in all a good tour, but yeah. It could have been more food.

Great quality city center stops you might just walk past. Fun culinary information from a former chef with fun dry humor. Only culinary information, could have added one more food stop or taste.

Being in the 600-year Stiftkeller alone was amazing! It really felt Lukas took us to the most authentic places where the locals eat.
