Even after seeing so many bad comments i can say i had a great stay at this hotel. Friendly staff ready to help, rooms are clean and spacious, hotel is modern on a great quiet location near shopping street. Only downside like in most hotels around Vienna center is the parking wich costs extra 19e per night in the hotel garage. And extra downside was that there was no drinking water and towels in the room...

The room was quite outdated and not very clean, with noticeable dust coming from the armchair by the window. The Velux window could not be opened, and although there was air conditioning, it was not effective, making the room very hot. The fan provided was also old and worn. There were no garbage bags in the room, which would be useful, especially in a pet-friendly hotel. The soap dispenser was poorly maintained, with diluted soap leaking from it. Communication in English with the staff could also be improved.
Probably one of the worst. Got downgraded for a standard room, and my booking was a superior double. I paid at the reception and when I got to my room saw that it is a standard one. At the moment they didn’t have any superior doubles available, so it wasn’t that big of a deal for me to stay in standard, but with a refund of the difference in prices. Now no one answers my emails, and I did not get my money back. It’s a shame since the location was quite OK and the room itself wasn’t that bad.
My room was really nice, clean, and presentable. My biggest problem was that there were no curtains on the large window above the bed (top floor room), so I had sunshine waking me up before 6am every morning. The service at reception was functional - no smiling, no feeling of being welcomed, and no explanation of hotel services. I wouldn't stay here again despite the location being quite convenient to a metro station and a walkable distance from the centre of Vienna. Also something to note - they aren't allowed to provide an iron. This might be out of their control due to regulations, but is good information to know.
I was part of a tour group of 17 people through G adventures. Upon arrival, the woman working at the hotel front desk confirmed there would be enough rooms for all of us. She even called another employee to confirm this. Our tour company, G adventures, had booked all the rooms months ago. Our group was told the rooms were not ready yet and for us to drop off our luggage and come back later, as it was before check in time. We came back to the hotel at 9pm and the hotel staff told our tour leader that the hotel could not accommodate us and did not have enough rooms. The hotel staff made zero attempt at communicating this information to our tour leader! This is totally unacceptable. Apparently we discovered they had given our rooms away despite all of our luggage being stored behind the front desk in the lobby. I will strongly recommend for G adventures to never use this hotel again. The lady at the front desk was unprofessional and a poor communicator. The evening staff is now scrambling to find another hotel for the 17 of us at 9pm, after they had known about this all day. This is totally unacceptable for a hotel.
