In 2 days from the total of 3, we had a fire alarm around 11am, so we had to stay out of the room for 30 minutes. We were told that it was no fire, just same person was smoking in the same room. On 3rd day at checkout, I was asked to pay extra 500eur because the fire alarm started because we used to much deodorant. I had to spend 30 minutes in the lobby, being threatened with calling the Police, that I won't have access in Vienna any more. Very unpleasant experience, with a hotel trying to recover a cost for their bad fire alarm on a tourist from an other country.

I booked this hotel during Vienna’s extreme heat warning because my OeAD accommodation has no air conditioning. The hotel seemed to offer air-conditioned rooms at a reasonable price, so I chose it as a place to escape the heat for a few days. To be fair, the room was relatively clean, the location was convenient, and the air conditioning kept the room cool—noise aside. The experience began at check-in. I had already explained that I had accidentally selected two guests when making the booking, which meant that the link sent to me by email would not allow me to complete the online check-in. Nevertheless, the staff member asked me to try the same process all over again, giving me the valuable opportunity to revisit my own incompetence in real time. Unsurprisingly, the system still did not work. The most memorable moment came later. While sitting in my room, I suddenly felt something moving on my neck. I reached up, brushed it away, and discovered that it was a live unidentified insect—what I sincerely hope was merely a beetle. Not quite the welcome companion I had expected. I immediately reported it to reception. The response was a verbal apology, accompanied by the reassuring explanation that “it happens.” The insect, meanwhile, staged an impressive resurrection after I had assumed it was dead, ensuring that the experience came with a second round of surprise at no extra charge—and somehow giving me more opportunities to apologize to reception for troubling them than the hotel had to apologize to me. Only after I asked whether there was really nothing else they could do did the staff member offer to record the incident and ask for my room number. No other practical response was suggested. Apparently, at this hotel, having an unidentified insect crawl on your neck is not a problem to be solved, but simply one of those things that happens and, if the guest insists, something that can be written down. The hotel’s commitment to sustainability is also impressive. No toothbrush or toothpaste is provided—an admirable environmental policy, particularly for guests who only discover it after arriving. The fitness facilities are equally thoughtfully designed. Before using the gym, guests(or just me?)must make a special trip downstairs to reception to have their access activated. The hotel clearly wants to ensure that your workout begins before you even enter the gym. The sauna costs **€20 per day**. Considering that the temperature outside was around **39°C**, Vienna itself offered a highly competitive sauna experience free of charge. None of these points alone would necessarily ruin a stay. The room was reasonably clean, the location was practical, and the air conditioning did fulfill its main purpose. What disappointed me was the repeated substitution of procedure for service: retrying a system that had already failed, recording a problem instead of addressing it, and placing unnecessary obstacles between guests and basic facilities. I came here to escape the heat. Instead, I received a complete package of air conditioning, administrative theatre, indoor wildlife, environmental minimalism, pre-gym exercise, and a paid sauna competing directly with the weather outside. This was my first hotel stay in Vienna, so I admittedly have no local benchmark. Perhaps all of this is perfectly normal here. If my expectations have introduced any unfair bias into this review, please forgive me.
Lovely room but overall doesn’t have the level of service I’d expect for this price. No tea/coffee making facilities in room, no iron. Not enough reception staff so i had to wait a long time to check in, and whenever i go back to ask if i can borrow an iron, theres apparently always a huge line of guests waiting to check in with their highly inefficient app. Would be fine for a budget hotel but not what i expect for 200 euros a night.
Stayed at roomz Hotel & Conference Center Vienna Prater during our trip to Vienna and overall it was a comfortable and practical stay, especially for a short city visit. The room was spacious and comfortable, with enough space to open luggage and move around without feeling cramped. The bed was decent and provided a good night’s rest after long days of walking around the city. The room layout felt functional and suited for both leisure and business travellers, with a clean, modern design that made it easy to settle in. One of the convenient facilities we used was the small gym located on level 1. It is not a large fitness centre, but it has the essentials for a quick workout — 2 treadmills, a selection of dumbbells, and a few basic machines. It was sufficient for maintaining a light training routine while travelling, especially for short sessions. The hotel itself is quite straightforward and practical rather than luxurious, but it serves its purpose well if you are looking for a base near the Prater area. It is convenient for getting around Vienna, and the overall environment is relatively quiet and easy to navigate. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the staff were efficient. The general vibe of the hotel is more functional and business-oriented, but it still works well for tourists who prioritise space, comfort, and accessibility over luxury extras. Overall, a solid and reliable stay in Vienna — comfortable room, decent gym facilities for a hotel, and a good location for exploring the city without being right in the busy tourist centre.
I would cancel if I could. -Never again — not even basic amenities provided. -No fridge at all. How are you supposed to store food for your baby or pregnant wife (even upon request staff is not willing to help to storre food overnight) -We’re in 2026 — why a hotel still can’t provide stable WiFi is beyond me. - they dont even provide a water, we dont even have to talk about a coffee in the room or a water cooker - At check-in, no one was around and you just wait
