Nice hotel! Clean and comfortable room, friendly staff, and a perfect location close to the U4 metro and Schönbrunn. Great value for the price. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. We had two connected rooms, which were perfect for our family. Our little son accidentally pressed the emergency button in the room, and someone came immediately to help and turn off the alarm. The next day he also managed to lock the connecting door between our rooms, and again the staff solved the problem quickly and with a smile. 😊 Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, and the dinners were delicious, varied, and included many interesting Spanish dishes. The location is excellent – very close to Schönbrunn Palace and the metro station, making it easy to explore Vienna. Thank you for a great stay! We would happily come back.
Avoid this hotel if you expect honesty from the staff. Our stay at Ibercity Wien was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have ever had. On 27 June 2026, while travelling to Croatia with our two children during the extreme European heatwave, we decided to spend one night in Vienna. Because of the exceptionally high temperatures, a working air conditioner was the most important requirement for us. Before booking, I called the hotel and specifically asked whether the air conditioning was working. The employee assured me that everything was fine. Based on that promise, I made the reservation. When we arrived, it was immediately obvious that something was wrong. Even the reception area was extremely hot. The receptionist admitted there was an issue but told us it was only temporary and that it would be fixed “very soon.” Despite knowing perfectly well that the air conditioning was not working, they still checked us in instead of being honest and giving us the chance to find another hotel. That is what disappointed us the most—not the technical problem itself, but the fact that the staff repeatedly misled us. After an exhausting day of driving, all we wanted was to have dinner, take a shower, and get a good night’s sleep before continuing our journey. Instead, we spent a nightmare of a night. Our room was unbearably hot. Sleeping was impossible. Opening the window only made things worse because it faced a busy street with constant traffic noise throughout the night. We asked for a fan, but the hotel didn’t even have one available. None of us slept. Late at night, after insisting, we were moved to another room facing the courtyard. The “solution” was a room with one double bed for three people and only a small skylight window. Again, completely unacceptable. During the night, the receptionist apologized and assured me that the hotel manager would compensate us for this terrible experience. The next morning, the receptionist had disappeared, there was no manager available, and another employee offered us… a refund for the parking fee. Seriously? After paying for a hotel room that failed to provide the one essential service we had specifically confirmed before booking, offering to refund the parking fee felt disrespectful and almost insulting. Air conditioning can fail—that happens. But lying to guests before they book, misleading them again during check-in, making promises during the night, and then pretending the problem can be solved with a parking refund is simply unacceptable. Customer service is measured by how problems are handled, and in this case, Ibercity Wien failed completely. We will never stay here again and will never recommend this hotel to anyone. If you’re travelling during the summer and need a comfortable night’s sleep, do yourself a favour and book somewhere else.
We are currently staying at this hotel in Vienna and unfortunately this has been one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. When we first checked in, we were allotted a room, only to be told 30 minutes later that it had been assigned to us by mistake. With a 5-year-old child and all our luggage, we had to move from the 6th floor to the 1st floor. We cooperated without any complaints. The bigger issue started when we realized the air conditioning in the new room did not work at all. The outside temperature was around 31–32°C and the room felt unbearably hot. We informed reception that evening, but were told maintenance could only come the next morning because the receptionist was alone. We tried to be understanding, but ended up having a sleepless night in the heat. The next morning, we again requested that the AC be fixed. We were assured it would be taken care of while we were out. After spending hours outside in the hot weather with a small child, we returned hoping to finally rest — only to find that nothing had been done. At that point, they said they were “just calling the technician.” After we raised our concerns again, we were moved to yet another room. Unfortunately, this room also had AC issues, and to make matters worse, the AC control knob was broken. We literally had to use a pin just to adjust the temperature. It was only slightly better than the previous room, but still far too hot to sleep comfortably. There were more issues as well: The shower water did not drain properly. We informed reception, but no action was taken. Even a simple request for cutlery — which we offered to return — was refused. What disappointed us most was not just the room problems, but the attitude of the staff. Instead of making any real effort to help, we were made to feel like we were the inconvenience. There was very little empathy, urgency, or customer care throughout the stay. We are now stuck spending three more nights here in uncomfortable conditions because finding another hotel at short notice is difficult and extremely expensive. Would not recommend this hotel to families or anyone expecting basic comfort and service.
I had a truly excellent experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the front desk team was welcoming, professional, and efficient, making check-in smooth and stress-free. The level of service throughout my stay was outstanding, staff were attentive, respectful, and always ready to help. The room and all common areas were spotless, which made a big difference in feeling comfortable and relaxed. The food was also a highlight, fresh, well-prepared, and consistently enjoyable. Overall, this hotel delivers on all the key areas that matter: service, cleanliness, and quality. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.
